Chapter One
**DREAM START**
The sound of pained screams filled the air as I sat tied up in those strange chains I had wanted so badly to destroy, he knelt inches away from me with an evil smirk plastered on his face. Fear was all that I could feel as he stood and turned and reached for something that sat dangerously on the metal table nearby, a ripple of pain through my shoulder told me someone had hurt her. He caught onto this and turned, as he began to walk closer I tensed up and closed my eyes preparing for pain but when it never came I opened my eyes and noticed him sitting beside me.
"It is simply sad that you brought me to do this my dear, if only you hadn't done what you did and he wouldn't have allowed me to take over his mind, now it's my turn to break everyone around you, say goodbye to your precious family," he chuckled as he stood again an axe held tightly in his hands, I looked up at him with fear in my eyes as he lifted it high above his head. Suddenly he threw it to the side as he slammed his head agains the wall and fell to his knees beside me, cautiously I managed to reach my hand and touch his face gently. He tensed up a turned to look at me and froze, he seemed to be fighting many battles inside his mind.
"Don't let him control you," I pleaded softly, suddenly his expression changed from one of confusion to one of pure amusement.
"He's long gone Puppet, face it, now where was I? Oh right," he chuckled as he grabbed the axe yet again and stood tall, I could see he was too far gone and I sat there knowing this was my fate. He lifted the axe high and without another thought swung downwards, the last thing I heard were the screams of agony before pain rippled through my body and everything went black.
**DREAM END**
I jolted awake and looked around as my heart raced with anxiety, it had been almost six years since Nightmare had been defeated and his soul united with mine. Taking a deep breath I noticed Springtrap cuddled into my side which as usual made my cheeks heat up, gently unwrapping his arms from around me I stood and left the camp and headed for the cliff. Although there had been peace for six years I could never bring myself to let my guard down, there was a hidden rule in the universe that most chose to ignore. When one evil dies another will always return, this one rule always had me thinking. Sitting down I let my legs dangle over the edge, the early mornings were always so beautiful as the sun rose above the horizon. Nightmarione had settled down quite a bit and had put herself into a slumber until needed, if this peace carried on forever she wouldn't be needed but I knew there would not always be peace amongst the human world. A set of footsteps behind me made me turn slightly, looking back I noticed Freddy with Chica, Bonnie and Foxy behind him.
"Hey Puppet, is it alright if we come sit with you?" Freddy questioned as he looked back at the others, I nodded with a friendly smile as they all joined me.
"What's wrong my dears? You are never up this early," I questioned as I soaked up the morning suns rays, Freddy let out a sigh which earned a curious look from me.
"W-we have noticed that m-most days you wake up in fear a-and we wanted to know why," Freddy stuttered, I sighed and looked back towards the landscape below us.
"It's nothing Freddy, you guys shouldn't worry too much about me, Nightmare is gone and those memories just hurt to remember," I half lied, this satisfied the minds of the others as we continued to sit and watch the sun rise. It was rare we got moments like this together, a slight ringing in the back of my head began to start up and I shrugged it off as a slight headache. When the sun had risen a good distance into the sky we all stood and headed back, all this peace was rather unnatural to us. Upon getting back I noticed Shadow Freddy, Golden Freddy, Springtrap and James all talking to one another, Springtrap was never the best with conversations but at least he tried to join in. Taking a deep breath I let out a sigh as I walked over, when I got closer I was greeted with kind smiles.
"Did you guys enjoy your little sunrise expedition?" Shadow Freddy chuckled, I rolled my eyes as I hit him playfully over the head.
"Watching the sunrise is actually rather calm thank you, it allows me to not worry about you numbskulls for an hour or two," I teased as I sat down beside them, Springtrap moved slightly closer but not too noticeably since both Shadow and Goldy didn't like our little "friendship". In all the time I've known them I have never seen them get jealous until Springtrap arrived, with an evil idea I gave a soft chuckle. Springtrap gave me a cautious look but I only returned it with a slight smile, catching on he attempted to stand and run until I tackled him and poked his nose before running off laughing like an idiot as he chased after me. Jumping into a thicket of bushes I controlled my giggling as Springtrap skidded to a stop nearby, when the sound of footsteps died down in the distance I emerged from my bush only to be caught by surprise and pulled into a tight hug. I struggled to get free and burst into a giggling fit as Springtrap began to tickle my sides, I couldn't even open my eyes properly to see the gang watching with amused expressions as my eyes burned from laughing so hard. Eventually I got free of Springtrap torture and flopped to the ground wheezing for air, it was rare I laughed like this but when I did it was usually someone tickling my sides to get revenge on a prank I did.
"You alright there Puppet?" Shadow Freddy chuckled, I nodded as I sat up and looked at the others. I felt happy that I could cause such laughter just like when we were kids, I missed those old days but they weren't meant to be according to what the world had planned for us. Standing up we headed back to camp, I turned my head slightly to see Springtrap twitching and holding his head. It was rare but sometimes he had these "fits" as he called them, sometimes he would lash out but other times he would say nothing and act like it never happened.
"Springtrap? Are you alright?" I murmured softly as to hopefully not trigger his bad side, I kept a small distance from him just incase he did try something.
"I'm fine....... just go on ahead I will catch up....." he grumbled softly, I could hear the strain in his voice and me being me pulled him into a hug. His body tensed but he did nothing, we stood there for a small while until finally he pulled away with a thankful look in his eyes.
"We should get back," I chuckled nervously as I rubbed the back of my head, he nodded and we turned and headed for camp. A storm was brewing in the distance, it would bring suffering and agony to many who sought for happier lives.
