*insert Japan Sensha Do Federation opening

Dededo, Guam, a few hours after An and Miho fell asleep next to each other

An's POV:

I slowly begin to wake up from the, well, peaceful slumber of sleep. When I woke up though, I saw that almost everyone, including McPearson and Maho, were looking at us and secretly taking pictures of me and Miho sleeping together.

HSAW infantrymen and crewmembers, TIAW, Kuromorimine, and Ooarai crewmembers: Dương and Miho sitting under a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

I felt my cheeks heat up when they said that. Luckily for me, Miho was still asleep on my shoulder.

Hưng: Có bạn gái rồi hả tư lệnh? (Already got yourself a girlfriend?) (he chuckles)

Me: KHÔNG! (NOPE!)

Hưng: Tư lệnh đỗi rồi hả? (Commander, are you getting salty?)

McPearson: You can keep denying yourself that, Commander. We all know it's true, even Commander Briggs here.

Briggs: Saw it all with my very own eyes. Nice moves, Commander.

Me: And how are things going between you and Maho, hm? Did any both of you confess to the other yet?

As soon as I said that, McPearson and Maho's cheeks both went red.

Me: See, told you McPearson, it isn't just me.

McPearson: Shut up.

Me: Ha! Like that's going to stop me from teasing you as well.

Just then, everyone went back to doing what they were doing while Maho and McPearson came back into the T-15 Armata to talk about something.

Maho (IJ): Commander Dương, Vice-Commander McPearson, I need to talk to both of you and Miho something. Dương, can you please wake my Imouto awake.

Me (IJ): Okay.

I then tap Miho gently on her shoulder.

Me (IJ, whispering): Miho, it's time for you to wake up. Your sister needs to talk to you about something.

Miho (IJ and still dreaming): -I love you, Dương.

Okay, that was something I was not expecting as I felt my cheeks burn again in embarrassment.

Me (IJ, whispering): Miho, it's time to wake up now.

Miho (IJ) (slowly wakes up and yawns): What's happening?

Me (IJ): Your sister wants to talk to me, McPearson, and you about something.

Miho (IJ): Okay. Maho, what were you about to say?

Maho (IJ) (sighs): Fighting against you guys gave me a realization I had never experienced before. Normally I would just follow the orders from the Kuromorimine high command to the letter and beginning this match, I was determined to win it so that you guys (points at me and McPearson) can stop the heresy known as American Tankery and boys participating in it, as according to the Mishizumi style. But after fighting with the HSAW and TIAW, I see that my ways might be in the wrong direction. The fact that you boys didn't take us prisoners was consideration enough to doubt that the Federation had right intentions all along.

Miho (IJ): I'm also starting to see that side too. Much like my sister, and when I was at Kuromorimine, I was taught to keep the Nishizumi style sacred. Even into my Ooarai years, I would still follow that order of code, thinking that the heresy of boys was a shame to Sensha Do, though now, as Maho stated, this is different. We've seen you boys show compassion when you aren't fighting, by not taking us prisoners, and Dương here (she blushes) helping me when I got a broken leg from his RPG round. When I looked into his face, he looked very sorry about it. That was what opened my eyes to the other side. They weren't fighting to try to shame us, they were just fighting to protect their sport, just like when we at Ooarai fought the All-Stars University Team, even after they just came out of war.

McPearson (IJ): There is also another reason why Dương doesn't want to take prisoners.

Miho (IJ): Why?

McPearson (IJ): Makarov.

Maho and Miho slightly gasped in shock.

Me (IJ): Yes, he's right. I've seen through it all, including dead civilians and dead prisoners who were innocent. If it weren't for my helicopter barely getting out of Iraq that day, I would've died to Makarov's nuke.

Maho (IJ): How many Marines died that day?

Me (IJ): 30,000 good Marines. Dammit all....

Maho and Miho continue to have their mouths agape at that number. I put my head down when I think back to that time.

Maho and Miho (IJ): 30,000?!

Me (IJ): Yes....30,000.

I stay silent for a few minutes.

Miho (IJ): Poor him. He must get nightmares and flashbacks from that. (she rubs my back softly)

McPearson (IJ): Yes, that memory haunted him for a good portion of his current career in the Marine Corps. And then, 2 years after the nuke was detonated and the Russian Ultranationalists taken Russia for themselves, Makarov ordered an invasion onto the mainland United States, starting in Virginia and Washington DC. His Marines and my Army Rangers had to fight our way through the rubbled buildings and roads to regain back control of the White House. But that didn't stop there.

Maho (IJ): What happened next?

McPearson (IJ): What happened next....was a damn betrayal.

Me (IJ): One of our commanders and the Commander of Task Force 141 (TF141), McPearson's other unit, General Shepherd, betrayed us and had been given a blank check from Makarov himself to continue waging war for as long as he wanted. Shepherd even deliberately sent an American undercover to work with Makarov, just so he can be killed and blamed for that started the whole mainland US invasion by the Russians in the first place.

Maho (IJ): That's just horrible.

Me (IJ): We would eventually get him back in a TF141 and USMC joint mission, where one of the TF141 guys killed him once and for all, by throwing a knife to Shepherd's eye.

McPearson (IJ): But Makarov wasn't dead by then. He then ordered another invasion, this time in New York.

Me (IJ): Maho and Miho, I'm sure you have some information to really figure out who I really am. If you connect the dots, it should be easy.

McPearson then came up to my ear.

McPearson: Do we trust them enough to tell some classified information by the Department of Defense?

Me: Look, I will tell them to keep it a secret later. For now, I want them to figure it out before we continue.

I look back at Maho and Miho who were pondering to who I could be.

Maho (IJ): We heard about a story about "The Savior of the Free World", who was also Metal 0-4. The description about your involvement matches that story and we've seen some pictures of the face of Metal 0-4, and he looks awfully like you. Which means....

Miho (IJ): You must be Metal 0-4, right?

I then lean back on my chair.

Me (IJ): Yes girls, you are correct. I am Metal 0-4, but before I continue, I want you to keep it a secret from the other Japanese schools, even from your own teammates and your school.

Maho (IJ): Why might that be Dương?

Me (IJ): Because I'm about to tell you classified information from the Department of Defense, which officially states that most of my missions did not exist, but in reality, they did.

Maho (IJ): I understand. Continue on.

I then continued on.

Me (IJ): Metal 0-4 is my codename within a secret US Army 1st SFOD-D team, codenamed Team Metal, which comprised of me, Master Sergeant "Sandman", and Sergeant First Classes "Grinch" and "Truck". You may commonly know the 1st SFOD-D as Delta Force, but for us on the inside, it's just CAG, Combat Applications Group. Then, I wasn't named by my actual name, instead given the nickname, "Frost". McPearson, also, has a nickname that he used in the 141 and now so that his information wouldn't be leaked out as well.

Maho (IJ): So you're both trying to put your two lives apart. What's McPearson's nickname then?

Me (IJ): Viper.

Maho (IJ): I see. Continue please.

Me (IJ): When the Russians came to New York, we and the 75th Ranger Regiment were the closet units to the city. McPearson's objective was to push the Russians out of the city. My team's objectives though, were much more dangerous.

Miho (IJ): How so?

Me (IJ): Our first objective was to push through the city and get our way to the stock exchange to destroy a Russian jammer that was interfering with US air superiority in the city and blocking our means of communication. It seemed simple, but in reality, it was easier said then done. We fought through heavy Russian resistance, with paratroopers routinely getting parachuted down to Earth to try to stop our advance, not to mention that some of the skyscrapers almost fell on top of my head and crushed me, with me only being able to avoid them at the last second, though I sustained multiple scars. We then managed to reach the stock exchange, shoot the Russians defending it, and destroyed the jammer before going on a helicopter chase with a Russian Mi-24, which I destroyed with a minigun. Though our mission was far from done.

Miho (IJ): Didn't you go hack into a Russian submarine and had their missiles target the Russian warships assisting the Russians in New York?

Me (IJ): Yes, my team was the one who infiltrated into that submarine and put the hack codes in.

Maho (IJ): So, what happened in Hamburg? We only know about the US Army Rangers involvement, but not your side.

Me (IJ): Ah that. Our mission was to rescue the Vice President, who had a summit in Hamburg for some reason I'm not so sure. My team was inserted in via Air Assault and we were supported by the Rangers, the German Army, and a US Tank unit. When one of the US tank gunners, Carter I remember he was called, was killed, I took up the gunner's position on top of his M1 Abrams and the tank column continueed on through a parking lot, although we had to abandon the tanks shortly after when one of the lead tanks fell several stories down. The remaining tank crews and our team pushed through to the Rangers position and then we proceeded to push through to the Vice President's convoy. When all the Russians guarding that convoy were shot dead by us, we then searched to convoy to find all the Secret Service agents guarding the Vice President dead, probably due to a shootout with the Russians. We then breached the building next to the convoy, killing the Russians inside and securing the Vice President.

McPearson (IJ): And then came Paris.

Miho (IJ): What happened there?

Me (IJ): Paris was where we were to capture and extract Makarov's bomb maker, Volk. We were also to assist the GIGN in this led by a commander codenamed "Sabre". We were facing heavy resistance when we tried to find Volk, but were saved by an AC-130 raining hell upon the Russian soldiers. We were then about to capture Volk, but he got away in a car, and my team and GIGN chased him through the streets, with me shooting the wheels of his getaway car when we were able to stop him. Our first evac point was destroyed when the Eiffel Tower was toppled down on the point and almost crushed us like in New York. (what's with buildings trying to crush me most of time?!) Thankfully, we got out of there alive.

McPearson (IJ): And then comes the Alena Vorshensky mission before your mission to take down Makarov.

Miho (IJ): Isn't she the loyalist Russian President's daughter?

Maho (IJ): Yes, Miho, she is.

Me (IJ): Anyways, we were sent back into Germany, this time Berlin, in support of another CAG team, Team Granite. We were supposed to provide sniper fire for them while they went in to rescue Alena, until they themselves were killed in an explosion from the hotel. Since we were the only other CAG team nearby, my commander, Sandman, volunteered us to go in by ourselves. We fought our way through Berlin, ending up in the building she was supposed to be in, but a Russian Spetsnaz team loyal to Makarov got there first and knocked us back. I managed to kill them all, but...

Miho (IJ): But?

Me (IJ) (gritting my teeth): We didn't save Alena in time before Makarov's men captured her and took her to Siberia. (I punch my fist into the T-15 armor behind me) Dammit....

McPearson (IJ): But Team Metal and my unit, the 141 managed to take her back from a diamond mine in SIberia. Though, Dương didn't take part in this, as I did. But he would play the critical role in taking down Makarov.

Me (IJ): I would eventually go with Price and Yuri, 2 of the most notable 141 members, in taking down Makarov. He was holed up in a hotel named Hotel Oasis in Dubai. We came in guns blazing in juggernaut suits, killing some of Makarov's men and the Oasis guards supporting him. We were then met by an enemy helicopter in an elevator, which we destroyed, but it also destroyed our juggernaut suits in the process. We continued the rest of the way on another elevator that we had to jump across. We then pursed Makarov through the building while he tried to escape using his helicopter. Due to Yuri being wounded and pinned to the ground by a rebar, Price and I were forced to move on our own, running towards Makarov's helicopter, jumping onto it, and killing the pilot controlling it, but the helicopter crashes onto the glass ceiling, due to the pilot unconsciously shooting the controls before he was killed. We were then met by Makarov, holding a Desert Eagle and pointing it at us. He said to us, "Goodbye, Frost and Price." (I start to shake remembering that) before he was distracted by Yuri and he shot Yuri in the arm and before I used a steel wire from the helicopter to wrap it around Makarov's neck and pushed him down the damaged ceiling. He was killed instantly. After all of that, with all 3 of us being wounded, we helped each other back up and got the hell out of there. The end.

By the end of it all, Miho and Maho were shocked.

Maho (IJ): You are just the same age as the rest of us, yet you have probably experienced more than of all of us girls combined in our lives.

Me (IJ): And because of that, I still get the usual PTSD and daily nightmares of the Marines I couldn't save from being nuked. (I begin to tear up) The world is a cruel place....

Miho then begins to rub my back again and hug me in the same process.

Miho (IJ) (whispering so only I can hear): It's okay, Frost. You saved the world, and that's what matters. If you weren't able to kill Makarov that day, most of us would be dead by now.

Me (IJ): Still...

Miho (IJ): Shhhh. Just let it all go.

I then cried my way out. McPearson was also on the verge of tears, since we both had PTSD due to Makarov's war on the US and the hunt for Makarov as well. The images of the numerous dead civilians, damaged buildings, and more were all in our daily nightmares. McPearson even has some of the same nightmares as I do. Maho took care of him though, so that was good enough, and by the time we were both done crying our way out, all 4 of us fell asleep in the IFV, with Miho falling asleep next to me, this time cuddling on my chest, with Maho doing the same and cuddling with McPearson. Unbeknownst to us, the others outside took pictures of the 4 of us sleeping and gossiped about it, before they all too went to sleep, either inside their tanks, or outside by lying in the grass, due to the ceasefire we had. To me though, it was nice to know that Miho understood the whole thing and accepted it within me. It would be a matter of time before we would confess to each other of our feelings, but I feel it would be in due time.
