*insert USTO opening

With the Houston School of Armored Warfare, US Air Force Base, Guam

An's POV:

We were flown in via a US Air Force (Chair Force guys as I jokingly call them) C5 Galaxy to the base, with all the other US schools doing the same. We were all wearing our standard camos (Marine Corps with MARPAT, Army with OCP, and Vietnamese Army with K17). According to some of the logistics guys at the Organization, all of our tanks should be arriving by tomorrow. As we were about to head off, a douchey Tech Sergeant raddled us out to be quicker.

US Air Force Tech Sergeant: C'mon yeh Jarheads, Soldiers! Get off my plane!

Me: And you're not a 82nd Airborne jumpmaster! You all just sit around all day! (I laugh)

US Air Force Tech Sergeant (chuckles): And that's why you call us the freaking "Chair Force"! Hah!

Me: Duh!

I pause for a moment.

Me: On a serious note though, is all military personnel off this base. I don't want any casualties in this war game.

US Air Force Tech Sergeant: Yes Lance Corporal. All military personnel and civilians have been escorted off the island, which means it's just you, and the Japanese schools.

Me (I sigh): Right. Private Anderson?!

Anderson then comes bolting towards me.

Anderson: Yes sir?!

Me: Is all 700 of us here?

Anderson: Yes sir. (hands me the list) All of us are here with all our gear and our weapons.

Me: Got enough 5.56 on you?

Anderson: Yes sir. Enough to last us at least 5 months.

Me: Good. Gather everyone up at the pavilion.

Anderson: Aye sir. (shouts to everyone) EVERYONE, REMEMBER TO MEET AT THE PAVILION FIRST BEFORE YOU GO TO YOUR BARRACKS, UNDERSTOOD?

HSAW members: Yes sir!

A few moments later at a pavilion just at the gates of the US Air Force Base, Guam

Me: Welcome to the Chair Force base here in Guam. (I hear several chuckles in the crowd) This will be the USTO's main base of operations from now till next year, so I expect clean barracks when me, or McPearson, does a weekly barrack check. If your barracks is not clean by that time, expect a long time getting smoked. As you all know, each barracks provides room for 2 tank crews. Remember your barrack room number, I don't want to see any wondering Privates not knowing where their barracks is. And lastly, all of our tanks should arrive by tomorrow, so for tonight, if you're lazy and all, check all your gear and clean your weapons again, then check the amount of ammo that you all will individually have. It should be enough for all of us to last 5 months with the amount that we currently have, according to Anderson. Now, if we need any supplies, they will be flown in by air every 2 weeks, so stock up carefully. Any questions?

HSAW members: No sir.

Me: Very well then. You are all dismissed.

Once everyone scatters to their barracks rooms, I get my tank crew together and we go to our barracks and lie everything.

Me (to Townsend and Hưng): Kiếm tra hết đồ và đi làm sách vũ khí của các câu. Sau khi đấy nêu muốn đi ngủ sốm, thì cũng được. (I check my watch) 12 giờ rối....mết qua. (Go check your gear and clean your weapons. Once everything is done, you can go to sleep early.  1200 hours already....so tired.)

Hưng and Townsend: Dạ vâng ạ! (Yes sir!)

We all get to doing our work before chilling around for awhile.

A few moments later, after the crew are done checking and cleaning

Me: So....you guys wanna do anything?

Townsend: Nah. Probably just hang around on our phones for a while.

Me: Yeah. Hey, I need to show you something.

I pull out my phone to show Hưng and Townsend a meme that they will probably understand.

https://youtu.be/frer0rluQ6Q

A/N: Meme time! It's a meme trolling the 3 que (also known as the South Vietnamese traitors).

By the end of it, we were all laughing our a*sses off.

Townsend (while laughing): That has got to be one of the funniest sh*t I've ever seen!

Me (while I'm laughing): No kidding! You might as well search for more troll 3 que memes just for the sake of fun.

Hưng (while laughing): They deserved it. "Đã lấy lên sự mạnh của Việt Nam Cộng Hòa". What a f*cking joke.

Me: No wonder they lost the war. Reporting like this and singing nhạc vàng will obviously make you look really weak to other countries.

Townsend: Yeah, I agree. M48 Patton tanks losing to a bunch of T-54s? Not highly unusual during that time, since the 3 que didn't even know tactics.

Me: Hell yeah, you're spot on.

I then check my watch again.

Me: Guys, I think you should go to sleep. It's about close to 1300 hours now.

Townsend: How about you sir?

Me: I have to go meet the other commanders. McPearson is tagging along as well.

Townsend: Well you go do that. Me and Hưng are going to sleep.

Me: Yeah. Have a nice nap.

Townsend: You too, sir.

I then went outside of my barracks room to see McPearson leaning on the wall.

Me: You ready, Viper?

McPearson: Always, just like the 141. We get dirty while the world stays clean.

Me (fist bumps him): I knew I could count on you, Ranger.

McPearson: You too, "the Savior of the Free World".

As we were already on our HQ, when our tanks arrived, we could immediately put to working with them, instead of having to drive at least 2 hours from what I heard is happening on the Japanese side. I went into the briefing room to see the other school's commanders and McPearson and I took empty seats away from the crowd. It was then that the Commander of the Tampa Institute of Armored Warfare came to see me.

Commander of the TIAW: Hello there, "Savior of the Free World". (he chuckles)

Me: Well good afternoon to you too, Commander Briggs. Recovering well from New York?

Briggs: Yep. So what now?

Me: We wait for the other schools and chose our commanders.

Needless to say, our meeting went smoothly, with the picking of the 5 commanders of USTO forces and picking an overall commander. The 5 commanders were me, to which I am also the overall commander of USTO forces, Commander Briggs of the Tampa Institute of Armored Warfare, Commander Jackson of the New York School on Tank Tactics, Commander Smith of the Pittsburgh Tankery Academy, and Commander Brown of the Richmond Armored Warfare School.  Everyone accepted their roles easily, as usual, and then for the rest of the day, everyone rested up until the tanks arrived.

The next day

Our tanks had just arrived and we were loading out our tanks to put them in our sheds and get ourselves to checking to see if our tanks and our IFVs were operational. That included checking the gun, sensors, camera systems, driver wheel (there's not really a drive wheel in tanks but eh), thermal systems, night systems, gunner systems, machine guns, etc. It didn't take long for the crews with T-14s and IFVs to finish, though our M1A2C crews had a much more difficult time. Once everyone was done, I sent them on our way and McPearson and I quickly changed into our Dress Greens and Service Uniform, respectively, and made our way with the other commanders onto a US Army UH-60 Black Hawk heli and flew our way to the capital of Guam, Hagåtña. There, we were supposed to meet the commanders of the Japanese team. I was wondering to myself how they would be. Hostile? Friendly? Who knows? We have to wait and see.

Near Hagåtña

Third Person POV:

The Federation Commanders' JGSDF UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter arrived at the capital and touched down at the meeting point. The Federation Commanders' were not alone though as they brought along their Vice Commanders or in Ooarai's case, the school president. In total, there 10 girls waiting to meet the American side. Miho, meanwhile was scanning the surroundings of the capital. Just like the largest village/city on Guam, the capital would be hard to attack, much less defend.

After she was done scanning for a minute, a UH-60 Black Hawk bearing the markings of the United States Army touched down. Miho knows that this is the American team. Out came 10 boys and a man, 1 of which was wearing the Marine Corps Service Uniform and 1 was wearing the Army Dress Greens. Miho assumed that this was the Commander and Vice Commander of one of the schools. Ms. Chono then went up to greet the man. From what Miho knows, Ms. Chono was acting as a interpreter for the girls, since most of them didn't speak English, while the man was acting as an interpreter for the boys. Meanwhile Viper (McPearson) and Frost (An) were talking to each other in Vietnamese to avert any notices on anything, which worked since no one from either side understood what they were saying.

An: -rồi, thì các xê chiến đấu sắn sàng rồi đúng không? (-Okay, so are all the IFVs ready for combat?)

McPearson: Dạ vâng tư lênh. Xong hết rồi. (Yes commander sir, they're all ready.)

An: Ừ. Chuẩn bị các chiến thuất ngày mai nhé. (Okay. Get ready our practice of strategies tomorrow, alright?)

McPearson: Dạ vâng. (Yes sir.)

All the commanders greeted each other.

Maho: I'm Maho, Commander of the Kuromorimine Girls Academy, and overall commander of JSDF forces.

Katyusha: I'm "The Great Katyusha". Commander of the Pravda Girls High School.

Kay: Hi guys, I'm Kay. Commander of the Saunders University High School.

Darjeeling: Hello there, gentlemen. I'm Darjeeling, Commander of the St. Gloriana Girls College.

Miho: H-Hi. I'm Miho, Commander of the Ooarai Girls Academy.

Briggs: I'm Briggs. Commander of the Tampa Institute of Armored Warfare. Pleasure.

Dubransk: My name's Dubransk. Commander of the New York School on Tank Tactics.

Dunn: Dunn. Commander of the Pittsburgh Tankery Academy.

Brown: The names Brown. Commander of the Richmond Armored Warfare School.

An: And I'm Lance Corporal Dương, United States Marine Corps. Commander of the Houston School of Armored Warfare and overall commander of USTO forces. Pleasure to meet you all.

Briggs: So what was the purpose of this invitation?

Maho: I believe it is a formal greeting of all the commanders before the match.

Ami: That is correct. Even though the match doesn't start tomorrow, we would like you all to greet each other before you all do final preparations tomorrow.

The commanders then shook hands with each other. Nonna then whispered to Katyusha in Russian.

Nonna: Я думаю, что этих мальчиков будет легко победить. (I think these boys will be easy to defeat.)

McPearson: Я не был бы так уверен в этом. Вы знаете, некоторые из нас - ветераны войны. (I wouldn't be so sure of that. Some of us are war veterans you know.)

Dubransk: Он прав, ты знаешь. (He's correct, you know.)

Nonna stood in shock that some of the boys could understand what she was saying.

Katyusha (IJ): Nonna, settle down.

McPearson: Sir?

An (to McPearson): I know. (looks to the girls) Remember this piece of advice. Nếu bạn quá tự tin, bạn sẽ chết. Đó là một bài học về chiến tranh nhiếu ngưới không biết, và bài học mình phải đánh để hiêu. Hết. (If you are too overconfident, you will die. That is an untaught lesson of war, and something that you have to learn in combat yourself. That is all.)

Even though almost everyone didn't understand what he said, they could tell be An's serious face that he had been through enough to see the horrors of war, though the Japanese girls don't know the full extent of his involvement as Metal 0-4. McPearson translates the message into Japanese for the girls.

An (IJ): And also, please don't try to talk behind our backs. Some of us understand what you are saying.

And the girls all went into a state of shock. Not only could he understand Nonna's Russian, but their Japanese as well. Also, he spoke in a language that almost nobody understood except for him and his Vice Commander, though some of the boys understand a little. This was going to be a hard war game.

Ami: All students, bow.

The girls begin to bow at a 45 degree angle towards the boys.

Girls: Let's all have a good match.

Man: Attention!

All the boys stood at attention.

Man: All students, salute!

All the boys saluted to the girls.

Boys: Good luck to you all.

Once they were all done, Ami and the Man went up and shaked hands. The girls and boys then went back to their respective teams and helicopters to begin preparing for the match. By the time An and McPearson got back to the USAF Air Base, they went to their barracks and slept for the day, as tomorrow was their practice on tactics, and then, they will hit the girls' teams hard, for it may be the only chance that they can win.
