Third Person POV:

Miho: -Rush them to the medical wing!

It was a race against the clock. Both An and McPearson were bleeding out after being CASEVACed, and it would only be a matter of time till they bleed out.

Maho (while pressing into McPearson's wounds): Hang tight, McPearson, hang tight.

Both girls were with Corpsmen from the HSAW and were rushing alongside their male counterparts to the medical wing of the base to get them treated. After what seem to be some time running through the base, they eventually reached the medical wing.

HSAW Corpsman #1: Excuse us ladies, but we have to take care of them now. Can you please wait outside?

Maho: We can.

HSAW Corpsman #1: Okay then. Don't worry, we'll find their injuries and treat them as soon as possible. Please wait.

Maho and Miho: We understand.

As the HSAW Corpsman closed the door, Maho, Miho, and Erika were discussing amongst themselves what was the best course of action to take after this.

Maho (IJ): So only my, Erika's, and your crew defected, right Miho?

Miho (IJ): Um-hm.

Erika (IJ): Correct.

Maho (IJ): What do you suggest we do next? As of now, both the HSAW's Commander/USTO overall commander and the HSAW Vice Commander are vacant because they are both in there. (points to the medical wing door)

Miho (IJ): I suggest that we take the helm where they left off.

Maho and Erika looked a little shocked from her statement, but nodded their heads.

Maho (IJ): Okay then. So I talked to the HSAW crew after both Commander Dương and Vice Commander McPearson were knocked out. Apparently, the USTO was split into an Infantry Battalion and an Armored Battalion. Hence, I think that it is imperative that, as Miho said, that we take the spots of Commander and Vice Commander.

Erika (IJ): How about our crews maam?

Maho (IJ): We will decide on that later. For now though, who do we get for the Commander and Vice Commander role?

Erika (IJ): Obviously the both of you of course. Since, well, the both of you can utilize HSAW tactics.

Maho (IJ): Well then, let's settle this. Miho, Erika, I'll be the Commander of the HSAW and overall Commander of the USTO. In addition, I'll be leading the Armored Battalion. Miho, you be the Vice Commander of the HSAW and will be leading the Infantry Battalion, and in extension, the Special Mission Unit, since you already have experience being here and participating in some Spec-Ops missions. Erika, you will be the Vice Commander of the Armored Battalion under my command, of course with Anderson from the Infantry Battalion helping you out.

Erika had a blush on her face when she said that.

Maho (IJ): As for our crews, the only problems I find is operating the M1A2C Abrams and the T-14 Armata, and the situation of Miho's crew. Miho, do you have anyone else who could operate within an Infantry setting?

Miho (IJ): Other than Yukari, I don't know.

Maho started to think for a moment.

Maho (IJ) (sighing): That will be hard to adjust. For now I can only think of splitting them off. Are you okay with that?

Miho thought about the memories of her crew. They were almost inseparable. But then she thought back to her boyfriend, who was in a coma right now. Frost had friends too, but almost all of them were gone, except for Team Metal, in the time it took for him to save the world. She had to make a choice, and it was going to be a hard one.

Miho (IJ): Alright. I will split off my crew. Yukari will be under my command and the others will have help from the other HSAW tank crewmembers. I'm sure they would be willing since they were friendly to me before.

Maho (IJ): But some are still resentful over the gas attack, though most were okay with it. They said that they knew it was the Federation's fault for launching the gas, not us, and that they already had intel beforehand to prove it was the Federation, not our schools.

Erika (IJ): I'm sure they'll welcome you in open arms. They did the same with Miho, and they're not dumb enough to not understand the situation.

It was then that Anderson entered.

Anderson: And you are all correct.

The girls then looked behind to see Anderson in his MCCUU and Marine gear still, coming up and saluting them, before going to ease position.

Anderson: Like with Miho before, we welcome you with all the gratitude we can give you. Your 3 crews saved our Commander and Vice Commander, and the since I'm the only other Commanding officer here, it's in my best interest to grant your wishes.

He then started to speak in a more formal Marine voice.

Anderson: Maho Nishizumi, I hereby grant you overall command of the Houston School of Armored Warfare and all of the United States Tankery Organization's forces, as well as the commands that go with it. (he turns to Miho) Miho Nishizumi, I hereby grant you subordinate command of the Houston School of Armored Warfare, and all the commands of that go with it. Please accept these positions.

Maho and Miho then begin to put one hand up.

Maho: I, Maho Nishizumi, accept overall command of the Houston School of Armored Warfare and all the responsibilities that come with it.

Miho: I, Miho Nishizumi, accept subordinate command of the Houston School of Armored Warfare and all the responsibilities that come with it.

Anderson: Then this concludes this "ceremony". You are both dismissed.

Anderson then cracked a laugh.

Anderson (goes to his British voice): Sorry, I'm still not used to these bloody change of commands.

Erika then puts her hand on his shoulder.

Erika: It's fine. We still have to get used to your command structure and tactics as well.

Anderson (goes back to his normal US accent): Yeah. Not to mention the weapons and tanks we use. And the aircraft.

Erika: I think I can handle that.

Anderson looked surprised.

Anderson: You a pilot?

Erika then nodded her head.

Anderson: Ah, that's good. In case of air support missions, you can command the jet fighters and the Apaches.

Erika: I think. I hope...

Anderson: Don't worry. Seeing you, you look like a perfect fit for that role.

Erika then blushed.

Anderson: But right now, rest for a bit and check your gear. The Federation won't be here until the next 2 days apparently.

Maho: Do you know why?

Anderson: According to intel, Commander, the Federation forces want to solidify their positions until they push onto our base. Though, I'm sure when they come, we will give them a load of hell before they can make it through.

Miho: Seeing your vehicles and how none of them got penetrated, I'm sure of what you're saying is correct.

Anderson: It is Miho. You saw it last time didn't you?

Miho then nodded.

Anderson: Anyways, I'm going to let you girls do your own thing. See ya.

Anderson then left, leaving the 3 girls alone again.

Maho (IJ): How about our Sensha Do uniforms? We can't let the Federation identify us that easily as the defectors. Though I'm sure they will be in a scurry when they see their overall Commander, the Kuromorimine Vice Commander, and the Ooarai Commander missing.

Miho (IJ): We can always ditch it for the HSAW uniforms.

Erika (IJ): Miho is correct. If we wear one of three HSAW uniforms, it will be harder for us to spot, since we are wearing camouflage and not our Sensha Do uniforms.

Maho (IJ): Alright then. As my first order, you girls get ready your crews and pick your uniforms and weapons. Remember, the HSAW always has men with weapons on them, so you should all do the same. Also, get accustomed to them, as they will stick with you for, potentially, the rest of your lives.

Miho and Erika (IJ): Yes maam.

Maho (IJ): Meanwhile you all do that, I'll tell the HSAW and other schools to convene in the Pavilion at 8:30 PM, which is quite some time from now. (A/N: It's about 8:00 AM, local time)

Miho and Erika (IJ): Yes maam.

Maho (IJ): Now let's get moving. (she salutes them) Dismissed!

The 2 girls saluted back to Maho and headed back to their crews, with Maho doing the same.

With Miho's crew

As Miho got back to Commader Dương's barracks, she explained everything to her crew.

Saori (IJ): Wow, you're the HSAW's Vice Commander now? Congratulations!

Miho (IJ): Thank you.

Yukari (IJ): So just to clarify. I'm in second in command of the USTO Infantry Battalion?

Miho (IJ): Yes.

Hana (IJ): I would like to ask now. Where do we get our weapons?

Miho (IJ): Anderson mentioned that there is an armory here. So that is where we get our weapons.

Hana (IJ): How about our gear? Like helmets?

Miho (IJ): Again, everything that is related to gear, weapons, and uniforms is all in the armory.

Hana (IJ) (smiling): Okay.

Miho then strides over to An's bed, with his gear and uniform to the side. Since Miho was already used to wearing some of An's gear and shooting the M27 and M4, she then went to the latrine to change into An's MCCUU, along with wearing the spare Ops-Core FAST helmet, and Plate Carrier Gen 3. She also checked the M27 and the spare M45A1, all in working condition. Once she was done, she headed out, looking at shocked faces of her crewmembers.

Yukari (IJ): Wow! You look like an actual Marine!

Miho (IJ): Thanks, though this isn't my gear, it's....

She then puts her head down.

Miho (IJ): Commander Dương's....

Her team then came up to comfort her.

Saori (IJ): Don't worry, I'm sure the Commander is fine.

Yukari (IJ): Yeah. Judging from his demeanor, he is a tough SOB.

Hana (IJ): I agree.

Mako of course was sleeping, so the girls left her alone for the meantime.

Miho (IJ): I suggest you girls head out to the armory. The other girls are already there.

Anglerfish Team (except for Mako): Yes maam!

As they all headed out, Miho decided to check on Mako and wake her up gently.

Miho (IJ): Mako, it's time to wake up. We need to head to the armory now.

Mako then slowly woke up.

Mako: Woah. Are you in Marine gear?

Miho nodded.

Mako: I think I'll get going then.

Miho smiled at her and lead her the way to the armory, to where Erika's, Maho's, and her crew were at.

Armory, USAF base

As Miho entered, she was greeted by gasps of shock from everyone, execpt for Maho, who was wearing McPearson's loadout (a spare Scorpion W2 OCP ACU, spare Ops-Core FAST helmet, spare M4A1, and spare M45A1).

Maho (IJ): Are you wearing Frost's gear and using the same weapons as him?

Miho (IJ): Yes. You do the same with McPearson.

Maho (IJ): Yes.

As the two sisters talked it out, the armorer was then handing out the uniforms to each female crewmember.

HSAW armorer: -And that should be all.

For Erika's and Maho's crew, they had chosen the Scorpion W2 OCP ACU, while for the Anglerfish Team, they chose the MARPAT MCCUU.

HSAW Armorer: You girls look stunning! You might get some guys while you're at it!

All the girls except for Erika, Maho, and Miho blush.

HSAW Armorer: I see that Miho and Maho already have their gear. How is it? Is it comfortable?

Miho and Maho (while nodding): Yes.

HSAW Armorer: Alright then! As for the others, you now receive your equipment over there. (he points to a section labeled "Gear")

All the girls except for Maho and Miho then go over to get their size of Ops-Core FAST helmets and Plate Carriers. Once they were done, the armorer then lead them to the weapons section to chose their weapons.

HSAW Armorer: Most of us would be rocking with either M4A1s or M27s, and use the M45A1 as our backup. But (he then puts his hands up) since we have a massive arsenal, I'll let you chose.

Once everybody was done, the HSAW armorer made some final remarks.

HSAW Armorer: You girls look stunning indeed! Looking like you're all ready to go into battle! Anyways, that's all you need for now. If you have any maintenance issues, come here and we'll fix it, until then, good luck, and godspeed all of you. (he then salutes all the girls)

All the girls salute him back and proceed to go back to their barracks and wait till the night.

Nighttime, 2030 hours, Pavilion

As expected, everyone from the USTO schools showed up to ready up for the briefing.

Anderson (to everyone): Alright everyone. You were called out here tonight to not only discuss some changes in command, due to our commander and vice commander being in coma right now, but to discuss possible defense strategies. So, first, command structure. For our new commander, I would like to introduce to all of you your new commander and vice commander for the HSAW. Please welcome, Commander Maho Nishizumi and Vice Commander Miho Nishizumi!

All the boys start to clap and cheer for the Nishizumi sisters, and they couldn't be more proud of all of them.

Maho (smiling then turning back to her normal face): Thank you all. I'm sure you all heard from Anderson here how we got the Commander and Vice Commander off the field and decided that in their respect, we take the fight back to them! (she then points out into the distance)

All the boys continue to cheer.

Maho: Now, since I am a tank commander myself, I will also be leading the 1st USTO Armored Battalion. While Miho here, will be leading the 2nd USTO Infantry Battalion. As for some of the female crewmembers, one female will be inside one of your tanks to inspect and learn from you along the way, though not all of you have to do this, just some, you choose.

The boys then start quietly discussing to themselves who they would take along with them.

Maho: Back to the defense. Now gentlemen, we are going against some insurmountable odds here, though that might be mitigated because of our huge leap in technology. In about 2 days from now, all of the Federation will try to attack our base, and win the themselves. It is our job to stop them. Since we are outnumbered to them, we will use the local wildlife to conceal ourselves, and only use hit-and-run attacks. That way, we will be eating into their command and force structure, making them all eventually collapse due to the amount of tanks that are destroyed. This will be done in small teams, so choose carefully who you pick and where you position yourselves. We want to be as concealed as possible. Now, once they are weak enough, we will launch a massive counterattack of our own, and get them on the run. Understood?

All USTO schools: UNDERSTOOD!

Maho continued to prep the boys in for tomorrow.

Maho: Now, go prepare yourselves. We are striking their positions tomorrow morning. (she then salutes everyone) Everyone, dismissed!

Every boy salutes her back and all the boys head back to their respective barracks to prepare and rest for tomorrow, as tomorrow was the day that they retaliate, for putting their overall Commander and the HSAW's Vice Commander in a coma.

Next day, USAF base, Pavilion

As everyone was rested up, they all met in the Pavilion again for final preparations from Maho and Miho.

Miho: Alright! Remember yesterday. We all move out, but split up with you schools and further into small units. That way, the enemy won't see us. Clear?

All USTO schools: YES MAAM!

Maho: Now. As McPearson and Dương say...

Miho: Bắt đầu chiến dịch! (Begin offensive!)

Everyone started to move to their positions, leaving the 2 sisters alone.

Miho (IJ): Are you going to be alright, Oni-chan?

Maho (IJ): Yes. I will, Imuoto.

Maho then rushed towards McPearson's M1A2C Abrams. The day before, she asked if she could use the M1A2C and the crew accepted, volunteering themselves to go Infantry. For Miho, she jumped down from the stand she was using and met Yukari.

Yukari (IJ): Maam, all of the Infantry and the SMU operators are ready to go.

Miho (IJ): Alright then, let's go.

Miho and Yukari then went to Anderson's T-15 Armata to move out.

A few minutes later, on the way to the outskirts of Yigo

Maho (radio): All units, this is Thăng Long 0-1. We are nearing the outskirts of Yigo, get ready to move out and engage.

All the men and women who defected got themselves ready. A few minutes later, the T-15 Armatas and M2 Bradleys stopped, just in the outskirts.

Miho (radio and outside): Hết đơn vì, mình đến rồi, đi, đi! (All units, we arrived, go, go!)

All of the USTO infantry sprinted out and started to take positions surrounding the town. Miho then took out her binos to survey the area.

Miho: Yukari, men, it looks like they've entrenched themselves in.

Yukari: I see that as well maam.

HSAW Infantryman #1: So far I see that as well.

Miho: They're most likely going to get caught off guard, since they probably won't expect us to come attack like this. (she on the radio) Maho, what do you suggest we do?

Maho (radio): Keep waiting. We don't want them to see us.

Miho: Yes maam.

They all continue peeking through their binos and keep surveying the area for places to fire on later.

Federation strongpost, Yigo

As for the Federation, the sight of their overall Commander and the Commander of Ooarai disappearing made a ruckus.

Nishi: What do we do?!

Anchovy: I don't know?!

Katyusha (thinking): They've already defected I see. Good. Maybe later I can convince my crew or the entire school to defect. But I have to wait until the time is right.

Federation Commander #1: It's okay! We can still crush them! We outnumber their forces, and we only have one more step till winning the battle!

A/N: Guess the Federation Commanders are too overconfident. Too bad it'll kill them later.

Frost: Yep. But I'm still in a coma, so I won't get to see them suffer. :(((

A/N: *starts patting Frost's back*

Federation Commander #2: Yes. We can crush them with our artillery and our gas.

Kay: We will not use GAS! They have already suffered! That isn't the Sensha Do I know!

Darjeeling (while sipping tea): I would like to disagree to Kay here, but she is correct in this situation.

Federation Commander #1: We WILL USE GAS!

Everyone went silent.

Federation Commander #1: I am the Commander here now. Orders are ORDERS!

She then slammed the door behind her as the high school Sensha Do teams looked at her in awe.

Kay: Well, I guess we should begin training as I guess.

All the high school girls nod their heads and heading out to the tank for some target practice. A fatal mistake indeed.

Back at the outskirts

Miho: Maho, I suggest we attack now and catch them off guard and withdraw.

Maho (radio): Got it. (calls to everyone) Hết đơn vì, chuẩn bị bắn. (All units. Prepare to fire.)

All of the Armored Battalion got ready their tank shells while the Infantry Battalion got out their assortment of anti-tank weapons (AT-4s, M3E1s, SMAWs, some Javelins, RPG-7V1s and V2s, etc.)

Maho (radio): Chuẩn bị! (Ready!)

The units readied themselves.

Maho (radio): BẮN! (FIRE!)

The tanks fired their shells and the Infantry fired their anti-tank weapons at the helpless Federation tanks, picking them off in one single instantaneous shot. Meanwhile inside Maho's M1A2C, it was a chaos of commands.

Maho: Loader, APFSDS!

Maho's Tiger I Loader: Roger! Loading, APFSDS!

The loader then loaded the shell.

Maho's Tiger I Gunner: Target spotted. St. Gloriana Crusader.

Maho: Fire at it.

Maho's Tiger I Gunner: Roger, firing!

The M1A2C fired an APFSDS shell at the Crusader, destroying it. Then, out of nowhere, an Anzio tankette started to create a dust storm.

Maho's Tiger I Gunner: No problem for me. Switching to thermal vision.

The gunner switched the gunner cameras from normal to thermal.

Maho's Tiger I Gunner: Now! I need a HEAT round!

Maho's Tiger I Loader: Got it! Loading, HEAT-MP round!

The loader then switched to a HEAT-MP round and loaded it in.

Maho's Tiger 1 Gunner: Set! Firing!

The M256A1 gun fired, destroying the tankette instantly.

Maho: Good hit.

In a matter of 2 minutes, all of the tanks stationed around the Yigo town center were destroyed.

Maho (radio): All units, I think we've done enough damage. Withdraw.

All USTO schools: Yes maam!

In Maho's first engagement fighting alongside the HSAW, she had scored her first victory, with many more to come.
