Chaos.

That's all I can make sense of right now. Coulson and I are scrambling to get everyone evacuated in as little amount of time as possible.

The Tesseract is unstable.

"Director Fury will be here any moment Sir." I tell Coulson and he nods, heading up to the Tarmac to meet the Director. Once the helicopter lands, we wait for him to start walking towards us to explain the situation.

"How bad is it?" Director Fury asks as he and Agent Hill walk closer, Maria nodding a hello in my direction.

"That's the problem, sir. We don't know." As we head down, more men rush by and I can't help but hope we'll all be able to make it out of here in time.

"Dr. Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago." Coulson tells the Director to which he looks confused about.

"We didn't authorize Selvig to start a test phase."

"He wasn't testing it sir, he wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous event." I say as we run down the stairwell headed to the containment area.

"It just turned itself on?" Maria asks looking at me for confirmation, and I nod.

"What are the energy levels now?" Fury asks.

"Climbing. When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered the evac." Coulson explains.

"How long to get everyone out?" Fury asks, and I look at my watch to double check my thoughts.

"Campus should be clear in the next half hour." I say, hoping it'll be quick enough.

"Do better." Fury says as he walks off with Maria. Guess not. Well Coulson and I better get started.

Heading back up, we start directing agents to the hanger with vehicles waiting to be loaded, awaiting orders to leave the facility. Suddenly we feel the building start to shake, is this thing really going to collapse?

"Clara! You need to get yourself to an evac vehicle now!" Coulson says grabbing my shoulders and literally throwing me toward the exit.

"Not without you sir! We've gotten everyone out, we need to leave now!" I yell back over the rumbling of the building, and he nods leading me and the agents with us to the hanger. On our way down the steps, the building shakes again causing us to stumble and cases to fall to the floor.

"No! Leave it!" Coulson yells as we run out of there and hop into a S.H.I.E.L.D issue van, leaving as quickly as possible. "You're clear sir, you need to go!" Coulson yells in the walkie, hoping Fury is still in one piece...

By now we're a good ways from the facility, when we suddenly feel the aftershock of what was probably the implosion of the base from the Tesseract energy. I look to Phil with wide eyes, worried. What did we get ourselves into?

"Director? Director do you copy?" Coulson calls into the walkie, panic clear in his voice.

"The Tesseract is with a hostile force. I have men down. Hill?" Fury states.

No...there's no telling what can happen with the Tesseract being in the wrong hands.. According to Hill, it's possible this has costed us some good agents.. I zone out a bit trying to plan ways to track the Tesseract and get it back, so we can observe it further.

"Coulson, Stark, get back to base. This is a Level Seven. As of right now, we are at war."

Fury states and I can't help, but be worried. I look to Coulson with wide eyes, unsure of our next step. Coulson returns my look and answers back in the walkie.

"What do we do?"

Chaos.

That's what has started. That is what will happen, if this team doesn't work as well as we want it to...
