"We'll show him!"
Sasuke said as he walked into his room.
"To be fair Sasuke, taking care of a baby by ourselves is a lot different then us looking after him with adults around."
Hinata explained as she set Naruto down.
"How hard can it be? We took care of Naruto when we were at that daycare, it can't be that much different.
Sasuke sneered.
"Well.."
Before Hinata could finish her thought some ratteling was heard, when the two genin turned around they saw Naruto was trying to climb onto a nearby shelf.
"NARUTO NO!"
Both Hinata and Sasuke shouted as the young Hyūga was quick to grab Naruto.
"Ah ah!"
Naruto reached out to the book shelf he wanted to climb more.
"Naruto you can't get on that, you'll hurt yourself."
Hinata said to the toddler.
"Hmph!"
Naruto merely pouted as he was set on the floor.
"See that wasn't that bad, besides we're pretty skilled shinobi, this'll be a piece of cake."
Sasuke sneered.
"Well if you say so....what will we do until then."
Hinata asked.
"Good question."
Sasuke said as he turned to Naruto.
"What do you wanna do Naruto?"
Sasuke asked the pouting toddler.
"Wan pway thewe."
Naruto pouted as he pointed to the book shelf he tried to climb on
"That's too dangerous, how I let you play with some of my old toys instead they're super cool."
Sasuke said as he went into his closet and brought out some action figures for Naruto to play with.
Naruto curiously cooed when the toys came into view, his dada never got him toys like this before.
"Ohh."
Naruto took one of the action figures and started inspecting it before he had put it his mouth and started gnawing on the toy.
"Well at least he's distracted I guess."
Sasuke said as he grimaced at the amount of drool that was falling from Naruto's mouth.
"Maybe he's hungry, my sister used to do that when she was hungry."
Hinata suggested.
Sasuke said.
"We can probably cook something for lunch."
Hinata suggested
"Yeah exactly and besides how hard can it be."
Sasuke said as he picked up Naruto.
"Come on Naruto let's get some food."
The trio started heading to the kitchen.
"I heard some shouts earlier, is everything alright."
Itachi asked not even looking up from his book.
"Everything is fine Itachi, we've been handling this like pros. Right Hinata."
Sasuke exclaimed boldly as he turned to Hinata.
Hinata sheepishly nodded in agreement.
"Right."
Itachi lowered his book to glancd at the trio.
"I see....well remember I'm here if you need me."
Itachi said as he returned to his book.
"We got this whole child care thing in the bag, you might as well start planning out the mission you're taking us on."
Sasuke smirked as both Hinata and himself went to the kitchen.
"He actually lasted longer then I thought."
Itachi said to himself.
In the kitchen.
Sasuke and Hinata was looking through the fridge and pantry as they were trying to figure out what to cook.
"Any ideas on what we all can eat?
Sasuke asked Hinata as he was still rummaging around in the pantry.
"I'm trying to think of something to make but there's a lot of... interesting ingredients in here."
Hinata replied as she closed the fridge.
"Yeah my mom likes to cook all those different kinds of food she see's on those morning talk shows."
Sasuke said as he started looking through another pantry.
"Sasa hugwy."
Naruto whined as he tugged on Sasuke's shirt.
"I know Naruto we'll find you something."
Sasuke said to the toddler but that answer didn't really satisfy Naruto who was growing more impatient and cranky by the second.
"Mama hugwy!"
Naruto whined again except this time he tugged on Hinata's shirt.
"Don't worry Naruto we'll get you something soon okay."
Hinata said to the toddler as she patted the boy's head before going back to looking in the fridge.
Naruto pouted as he plopped himself on the floor, obviously waiting was not his strong suit.
"Oh I think I found something."
Sasuke said as he handed Hinata some packets of instant curry.
"I can make curry on rice, it'll be something that can be done somewhat fast."
Hinata grabbed a pot and she had soon went work on preparing the food, while Sasuke figured he set the table.
"Alright and now where can you sit....
Sasuke said as he set Naruto down.
"Maybe we could stack some books on a chair."
Sasuke went and quickly and grabbed some books and he stacked them on a chair and he sat Naruto on it.
The books had barely boosted the top of Naruto's head above the table.
"Uhh, it'll do I guess."
"Food is ready."
Hinata announced as she was struggling to carry the rather big pot of curry.
"Oh hold on Hinata!"
Sasuke ran over to Hinata and grabbed the pot of curry, the young Uchiha was also struggling to hold the pot but he was trying his best to hide the fact he was struggling.
"Thank you Sasuke.....do you need help?"
Hinata asked.
"Nope!"
Sasuke said as he had managed to place the pot on the dining room table.
"There."
The boy said as be tiredly plopped onto his chair.
Hinata placed a plate of rice in front of Sasuke and she poured some curry onto his plate.
"Sweet I'm starving."
Sasuke said as he took no time to start eating.
Hinata then filled a bowl with some rice and curry, she then got a spoonful of the meal and held it in front of Naruto.
"Here Naruto, try it, it's good."
Naruto turned his head away, this new food didn't look good to him.
"C'mon Sasuke it's good, see."
Sasuke started eating his curry in front of Naruto.
"Mmmm super good!"
Sasuke exaggerated, hoping to sell the idea of Naruto trying the dish.
Naruto looked at the spoonful of curry and he took a bite.
"See, good."
Hinata said to the toddler.
Naruto did kind of like it, this meal didn't compare to ramen, but it was alright.
After sometime had passed, everyone had finished eating.
"Whew, I can't eat another bite."
Sasuke sighed as he leaned back into his seat.
Naruto saw this and attempted to imitate Sasuke's posture.
Hinata giggled.
"What's so funny?"
Sasuke asked.
"Naruto is trying to copy you."
Hinata pointed out as she started taking the plates.
Sasuke glanced at Naruto and noticed the boy was copying his posture.
"Naturally, Naruto would want to be like the number one Uchiha."
Sasuke boasted.
"You're quite humble for your age, little brother."
Itachi said sarcastically as he walked into the dining room.
"What are you doing here?"
Sasuke asked as he pouted.
"Well on top of me living here, I thought I check in on how you three are doing."
Itachi answered.
"Well as you can see, we got everything under control and we even got Naruto fed."
Sasuke said proudly.
"I can see that, quite honestly I'm impressed you two has managed to keep a baby occupied and happy for this long."
Itachi commended the two genin.
"Of course Hianta and I can handle anything thrown at us."
Sasuke sneered, his ego beyond inflated.
"Nghh!"
Sounds of light grunts was heared, when everyone turned their heads tothe source of the noise they saw Naruto face was tinged red as he was grunting.
"What's he's doing?"
Sasuke asked.
"Well from what I remember when you were his age, I believe he is defecating right now."
Itachi replied.
"He's what?"
Sasuke asked confused.
"He's pooping Sasuke."
Itachi replied.
"Eww....hey you know what Itachi, I think I."
As soon as Sasuke started to turn his head to Itachi to ask for help, the eldest brother had already made his way back to the living room.
"Proving you're responsible enough to take care of Naruto includes changing diapers."
Itachi stated as he picked up a new book and started reading it.
"Grr dammit."
Sasuke was a little mad because Itachi was right.
"If you want Sasuke, I can change him."
Hinata offered.
Sasuke shook his head.
"No you've been doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to Naruto, I gotta prove to Itachi I can do this."
Sasuke laid out a towel and the floor and laid Naruto on it.
The young Uchiha removed Naruto's shorts and he took a deep breath.
"Here we go."
Sasuke opened the diaper and the mere sight of the Naruto's waste made the boy get a little dizzy and soon he blacked out.
A few moments later he woke up on the couch.
Hinata was play with Naruto.
"Sasa Sasa!"
Naruto callled out happily as he toddled over to Sasuke.
"Sorry Hinata I didn't mean to fall asleep on you."
Sasuke said as he stretched.
"You actually passed out."
Itachi said as he entered the living room.
"Wait what!...oh the diaper change right...wait does that mean!?"
Sasuke shot up.
"I was trying t to tend to you when you passed out, s so I asked Itachi to help with Naruto."
Hinata stammered out.
"Which means I won our bet Sasuke."
Itachi smirked.
"Grrr dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit!!!"
Sasuke continued to shout in anger.
Hinata quickly covered Naruto's ears.
"This is the perfect opportunity to help deal with your bad temper too, you're welcome to join us Hinata."
Itachi offered.
"O okay."
Hinata agreed as she bowed.
