Ch. 7; Mall's Can Change Spirits, I Guess
Chapter 7; Mall's Can Change Spirits, I Guess (Heaven's)
~~Heaven's PoV~~
We've been walking for a while but Trixie still hasn't shown us where we're supposed to end up. "You're a fraternal twin, right Shadow?"
"Why?" Shadow grumbled.
"'Cause I'm actually kind of a fraternal twin too, well, a triplet to be exact." I shrugged casually.
"Really?" Shadow asked with an annoyed tone, "why don't you siblings go here?" I cringed at the question and glanced off.
"We're here!" Trixie cheered. I glanced up to see this HUGE shopping center.
"I thought you said it was a small shopping place?" I gasped out in surprise.
"This isn't small?" Trixie asked, facing me. Her head tilted curiously.
"Rich brat," I heard Shadow mutter, though, I doubt anyone else heard her.
"No, it's not small!" Dassie hissed at her. "How are we supposed to pay for any of the crap in there, anyway?" She yelled out.
"You don't have money?" Trixie blinked. I face palmed. "I can pay for it!" She announced and then marched inside. Brianna was the first to follow, then Dassie. Shadow and I shared a look of distress and followed. Man, I really hate shopping.
~~Shadow's PoV~~
"Boring, boring, boring, boring. We've only been too girly shops!" I complained. Trixie faced me.
"And you haven't wanted one thing~" She snapped. My eyes rolled.
"An arcade!" Heaven yelled in amazement. She ran off. I groaned as everyone else chased her, I followed. When I arrived, Heaven was sitting at a racing game, Brianna was off somewhere else, Trixie was trying to pay for coins with her credit card, and Dassie was looking around. I slid into the seat beside Heaven, might as well not pass up the chance to race this noob.
"I got coins," Trixie announced as she walked over, she had this huge freaking bag of coins. I snatched up two and paced the 50 cents into the machine. Heaven repeated my steps. We messed with the settings and then started racing, glad these games were actually connected. After I won, I switched to a shooting game, which Heaven also challenged me on, then Brianna did too. She won.We messed around for a while longer, until Heaven got us all kicked out because of her yelling.
"It's not my fault I have a loud voice!" Heaven whined out after I threatened to backhand her. I grumbled and dropped my head in frustration.
"Hey Heaven, look what I found for you, you half breed!" Someone screamed out. I glanced over, he was holding up a dog collar. When I looked at Heaven, she looked either really upset or really pissed, maybe both. The kid smirked and threw it at her. I caught it and threw it back at his face. He got hit in the forehead.
"Leave her alone!" Brianna hissed. We got a good portion of the mall's attention. People were staring at us. The kid glared harshly and ran off. Heaven quietly sighed and turned away. Dassie placed a hand on her shoulder. She nudged it off.
"You know what?" Heaven asked, looking up.
"What?" I asked.
"That was actually a pretty cool collar," she nodded. Brianna face palmed. "You know what'd be even cooler?!" Heaven's eyes lit up. "A bowtie! I want one!" She nodded, "and like a gazillion flannels."
"I want the collar." I agreed.
"You mean we have to go to some punk store?" Trixie asked she sounded slightly annoyed.
"Hell yeah!" Everyone else agreed, though, there was various agreement wording.
"Let's go!" Heaven pointed in one direction and started walking off.
"That's the wrong way," Dassie called. Heaven turned around, pointed in one direction and waited for approval. Dassie nodded and Heaven marched off that way. I held in a snicker as I followed. I can't get close to these idiots.
~~Time skip 'cause I'm lazy~~
"Yes, perfect!" Heaven laughed evilly as she held up an adjustable bow-tie. I held up the collar, well two of them actually. I was getting one for Flame too. He gets a black one, I get a red one. Red's my favorite color, actually (*listens to the face palming of the readers*). (Sorry getting distracted with Markiplier so I can't write XDD!!!) I have absolutely no idea where anyone else is. Oh wait, Brianna's looking at a Doctor Who dress, the telephone booth one. I don't remember what it's called, though. (*is ready to be murdered by Doctor Who fans*) Dassie's looking at Fall Out Boy chiz- there goes Heaven looking at the flannels and Legend of Zelda crap. Where the hell is Trixie? She's hitting on the store clerk, great. "Duuddeee..." Heaven mumbled, she was staring at hair dye. I sighed quietly and started walking around.
Pretty quickly we had all found a couple things we wanted and Trixie bought it for us. We left after, back out into the abyss of the mall. "We should get something to eat." Heave whined when her stomach made some sort of whale call. I snickered and nodded in agreement. Dammit, this isn't supposed to amuse me. They're supposed to be annoying... Ugh. A loud bell went off, I glanced at the clock.
"There serving dinner in the school?" Brianna suggested.
"Nah, not that crap today. Let's have sushi or something." Trixie replied wit ha shrug.
"Can we just pick something please? My feet are killing me," Dassie complained. I glanced at her and rolled my eyes slightly. Heaven seemed distracted by something, I looked towards what she was staring but didn't see anything noticeable. Brianna waved her hand in Heaven's face and she snapped back to reality.
"Sushi sounds fine, but I wanna be able to get soup," Heaven announced with crossed arms. Dassie groaned.
"Mana Sushi then?" Trixie suggested.
"What Sushi?" Dassie retorted.
"Just show us the damn way," I ordered. Trixie scoffed but followed my orders and lead the way out of the mall off to some place.
~~Flame's PoV~~
"You suck at this game!" Dylan laughed at me. I groaned in frustration and fell backward on the floor.
"I hate this game so much!" I yelled at the ceiling.
"Just because you suck at Rainbow Road doesn't call hating the entire game." Dylan joked and laughed. I huffed and sat up quickly. I selected the same map again for about the twelfth time now. Dylan face palmed and snickered but joined in. During the whole race, I felt myself calming instead of getting more frustrated. I glanced at Dylan I bet he was doing this. "You lost." Dylan pointed out cockily.
"This is crap." I huffed and set the controller down while pushing it away.
"Man, I'm hungry," Dylan complained.
"Me too." I agreed.
"Let's go get dinner!" He stood, turned off the counsel, and turned the TV off. I stood as well and grabbed this sleeveless leather jacket Dylan wanted me to wear.
"Why am I wearing this again?" I asked as we walked down the sidewalk towards the school. He shrugged. I sighed quietly. "It's starting to get colder out." I contemplated aloud. He nodded in agreement.
"I found them!' I heard Shadow's voice call out from behind me. I followed the sound of her voice to see her pointing. I turned to face her.
"Wait, I'm not fast!" Heaven whined as she ran up behind Shadow. Dassie and Brianna were right behind her.
"Not fast?!" Trixie huffed as she jogged up last. I blinked and awkwardly waved.
"Nice jacket," Shadow teased me. I smirked at her.
"Sup guys?" Dylan greeted casually.
"We're gonna get food!" Heaven announced loudly. What is up with her personality? Not gonna lie, it's kinda freaking me out. Shadow's eyes rolled.
"Yeah, we're gonna get sushi," Trixie added. "Wanna come?"
"How would we pay?" Dylan scoffed. Trixie held up her wallet. Dylan contemplated for a moment then nodded, "yeah, okay." He agreed.
"Of course." I nodded in agreement.
"Let's go!" Heaven pointed and marched off in a random direction. Trixie sighed.
"Heaven!" She yelled out, Heaven turned around. "Other way!" She pointed behind her.
"Let's go!" Heaven hurried ahead of everyone. Shadow face palmed.
~~Time skippo of laziness~~
"You know?" Shadow pointed her chopsticks at Heaven, who looked at her curiously. "You never told me why your siblings don't go here," She smirked cockily. Oh, here we go. Heaven inhaled and exhaled heavily. We each gave her an expectant look.
"Well, they have a handle on their powers. My parents were teaching us since we were little, they had a handle on all the experience crap, even though they have different problems. My twin sister has trouble in school because of some sort of learning disability, but she's like the coolest person ever and my twin brother has a cleft pallet, he was born without his upper jaw. My older brother has, or had, I'm not quite sure, a learning disability as well. They were each in speech therapy at one point, or still are. I was born without any physical disabilities or learning disabilities. My problem is the whole shape shifting thing. They can do that perfectly fine." She explained with a shrug. "My parents decided it'd be better for them to learn in a human public school."
"Are you sure you're not a half-breed?" Dylan asked curiously.
"I don't see how I could be unless some of the whole DNA crap didn't transfer well enough between my siblings and I. Even then, I'd assume we'd all be 'half-breeds'," Heaven explained and shrugged once more. She went back to eating her bowl of Wonton soup. Okay, so, she's smarter than I thought, that's for sure.
"So you're a triplet?" I asked. She nodded in response without looking up. "Cool," I agreed awkwardly. Shadow smirked sideways at me. I shrugged back at her. "What's with the bags?" I changed the subject.
"We went shopping, duh!" Trixie answered as if I was blind or stupid. Shadow glared at her defensively. I gave her a warning look and she returned it.
"I get that, but why?" Dylan chimed in.
"Why not?" Trixie giggled back.
"'Cause shopping's a lotta work," Heaven complained.
"True!" Brianna laughed and smiled brightly.
"But you did it?" Trixie crossed her arms suspiciously. Heaven grinned innocently at her. Trixie chuckled in response, causing Heaven to genuinely smile.
"Well, I gotta get home. Late." Dassie stood and grabbed hr stuff she left.
"Yeah, I have some homework to do." Brianna sighed in agreement.
"Same." Heaven groaned and that's how our fun came to a conclusion and we all went home to actually be responsible.
