(The chapter begins Cross & his siblings exploring the carol reefs their mother was keeping a close eye on them Cross was playing with Papyrus one of his siblings when a boat began moving towards them)
Cross: (Chirping happily while playing with his brother) Hehehehe!
Papyrus: (Is chasing after Cross) I'm going to get you brother!
Cross: (Wagging his tail playfully and then he sticks out his light purple tongue) You won't catch me! (Swims farther away from his shiver and Papyrus follows him)
(Suddenly a land dweller throws in a net)
Cross: (Both him and Papyrus get tangled up in the net and Cross tries to bite through the Net with his razor sharp teeth) (Both Papyrus & Cross chirps out in distress)
Female shark mer: Omg Cross! Papyrus! (She began trying to free both of her pups from the net when suddenly the net gets pulled up and the female shark mer loses her grip and the two pups get pulled into the boat)
(After the pups got pulled into the boat both shark mer pups began holding each other in fear)
Cross: (Is shaking) 🫨
Papyrus: (Growls cutely)
Lab assistant: Doctor! We caught something!
XGaster: (Walks towards the lab assistant) You manage to catch something Alfie?
Alfie: Yes doc! Look!
XGaster: (Looks in the net and sees two shark mer pups) (His eye sockets widened) Alfie! You managed to catch two baby thresher/fox shark mers! No one has seen a mer before every one thought that they didn't exist I can finally start on my first project on a mer! (Looks at the shark mer pups evilly)
Cross: (Bears his razor sharp teeth at the scientist) Hisssssss!
XGaster: (He begins removing the net off of the two baby mers)
Cross: (Tries to back away when XGaster tries to pick him up and he uses his claws to scratch his hand and then he hisses at XGaster) Hisssssssssssss!
XGaster: (He accidentally back handed Cross when he hissed from the pain and now poor little Cross has a big bruise on his skull after the pain stop he managed to pick up the two baby mers and he sets them both in a little salt water tank Cross was still knocked out and Papyrus was holding cross protectively) Come on let's go back to my lab!
(Suddenly Papyrus & Cross's mom jumped onto the boat snarling & growling protectively and then she growled angrily at XGaster)
Female shark mer: Give my pups back! (Still growling angrily)
XGaster: (Looks at the adult mer in shock) ....
Female shark mer: My pups give them back now! (Her tail was thrashing around dangerously)
XGaster: Alfie move the adult female mer off the ship now!
Papyrus: Mom please help! Cross is hurt please help!
Female shark mer: (Her eye lights turned into slits) You hurt one of my pups (Was about lunge at XGaster suddenly Alfie shot a dart at the adult mer and then the mer immediately fell into the water)
Papyrus: MAMA!
Cross: 💤🤕
Papyrus: (He then tries to jump out of the tank when XGaster caught him and he immediately chirps in fear suddenly XGaster throws Papyrus back into the tank hard and Papyrus gets knocked out because of this)
XGaster: (Puts both hands behind his back and says this) We need to go to my lab immediately so I can study the two mers thoroughly.
Alfie: (Looks at the baby mers with guilt and sighs) Yes Gaster....
(Time skip at XGaster's lab XGaster has just put two shock collars on the two baby mers and then they were put into a two separate tanks and they were small)
XGaster: (Looking at the baby mers) (Smirks) I'll wait until they wake up and then I'll give them their lab rat names. (Smirks even more)
(Suddenly XGaster's assistant came into the room)
Adam: Sir oh my gosh Doctor Gaster why do you have two unknown creatures in the two tanks?
XGaster: Well these two are my new experiments Project X & Project B Alfie caught them while we were looking for new species of sea life to experiment on and now I have these fine specimens to experiment on.
Adam: ....Doctor? Do you know what they are?
XGaster: Yes I do they are baby thresher/fox shark mers!
Adam: Doc I don't think this is a good idea we could get arrested for experimenting on the sea life.
XGaster: Don't worry about it the public will never know about this it will be are little secret I will conduct tests on the mers tomorrow (Walks over to the light and turns it off and then they both leave his lab)
