Leo's POV

I woke up this morning to not see Ryan by my side.I walked out of our room and into the hallway only to here crying. It was coming from the bathroom from none other than Ryan. The bathroom door was cracked a little so I quietly crept over by the door to see why he was crying. "Why did she have to go so soon", he sobbed? "Only if she would have just left him...he has caused so much pain I bet he's isn't even sorry for this". He continued crying and it broke my heart. I heard enough I opened the door to see Ryan, but this didn't look like the Ryan I knew. His navy blue fur clumped up and eyes red. "Ryan are you ok", I asked, he didn't reply he kept his head down avoiding my eyes. I asked him what is wrong and he told me to follow him to the living room.That's where I found out about the truth of Ryan

RYAN'S BACKSTORY

Ryan's life was anything, but perfect. The only thing that made his life worth living was his mom. She always had his back and loved him dearly. Even when he came out to her she still loved him. However that can't be said for the same for his father. After coming out to him he hated Ryan's guts. Abusing him daily. When his mom tried to step in she would get beaten up too. Ryan quickly became depressed and started cutting, but got out of it after he started cross country. As time progressed his father kept abusing the both of them while his mother all of the sudden got sick and was emitted to the hospital. Today Ryan found out that his beloved mother passed away.

Backstory End

After Ryan told me this I was in shock. My emotions were sadness and anger. Then Ryan started crying again, but it's what he said that made me wake up out of my thoughts.

"Now that she is gone nothing is worth living...plus you probably hate me cause I'm gay right...cause I'm just a good for nothing fa-

I didn't even let him finish I gave a big hug. At this point tears were running down my cheek like a waterfall. "You are not worthless and I don't hate you for being gay...just do me a favor...don't ever say that again", I said with a cracking voice. He stared at me for a while, but then hugged me. "Ok", he said. We sat there for a minute hugging until we realized that class has already started. Welp looks like we're not going to school. We both laughed and I decided to call some of my friends who are also on the cross country team to come over so we could hangout.

Fast forward time

I heard a knock at the door I went to go open it knowing it was them. We all said hi and got settled in. Let me introduce them to you. Aiden is a winged-wolf with dark grey fur, yellow-tipped ears, tail,hands, and feet. He also has light grey around his face which makes it look like he has a mask on. He's a really cool laid back guy, but takes sports very seriously. Then we have Gear who is a typical Dalmatian (white fur black spots). He's athletic, but not as built as Aiden. Overall he is a really caring guy. Also he has a little bit of medical training which he learned from his mom, so anytime there is a injury during practice he is always there to help. Anyways to get Ryan's mind off of the situation we decided to play so games on the PS4. We mainly played Dead or Alive 5. Eventually Nick and Tyler got off of school and joined us. This lasted about 11:30pm. After we finished we said goodbye to Aiden and Gear and went to sleep. As I'm sleeping next to Ryan I here him talking in his sleep. "Please dad I'm... sorry I didn't m-mean t-to", he said. He started moving around a lot and started crying. I quickly shook him out of his nightmare and told it wasn't real. He cried after that...I couldn't bare it anymore. I grabbed him and pulled him towards my chest hoping that my body heat and wrapping my arms around him would give him comfort. Sure enough it did and he soon drifted off to sleep and so did I. It seems I might have feelings for him, but does he have the same feelings I do?
