(Reader's P.O.V.)

Their arguing went on for quite a bit when they finally figured it out. It was mostly my fault but I was so tired that I fell asleep on one of the beds, leaving them with no other choice but to share the other bed so I sleep in peace. I found out this morning when the two of them began shouting again. "You were supposed to stay on your side, Mephiles! And you were hogging the blanket all night, you blanket hog!" "I'm not the one who started cuddling up last night! That was all you! And you call me the blanket hog when it was you hogging the blanket from me!" I sigh. These two get along like fire and ice. I leave to go get breakfast for everyone and when I return the yelling has yet to cease. I silently leave breakfast on the small table for them and I eat mine on the balcony. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Soleana is known for its waterways and its sun god. The architecture here is truly beautiful. At least for the moment, it's quiet. I assume the boys sorted out their argument. Mephiles joins me on the balcony. "Sorry for the noise. The two of us have a bad history together. We'll be walking around castle town today to look for clues on the timekeeper. You're welcome to sightsee instead of coming with us if you'd like. You don't need to involve yourself in my and Silver's problems." "I'm part of this too, you know. He did kidnap me and throw me into the future. I want to find and stop this guy too." I give Mephiles a look of determination as I speak. He chuckles a little. "Alright but you don't visit another country every day, it's ok if you want to do a little sightseeing too." He goes to put an arm around my shoulder and Silver comes out onto the balcony to stop him. "Nice try Mephiles. I'm not going to sit by and watch you seduce (Y/N) with your tricks. I know what you're really like. Just because we have a common enemy right now doesn't mean I've forgotten what you've done to my future." I put a hand on my head. These two are going to be a handful. I just know it.

Why am I being sent alone for this... Espio would be a better fit than me. Heck, even Charmy or Vector would be a better fit. But of course, make the newbie do it! It's not like I have anything better to do. Why the heck do I have to be the one spying on this trio anyway? That Tails look-alike is totally sus, my detective senses tell me so. So why are we doing his dirty work?! I watch as the two male hedgehogs and the female (C/T) exit the hotel. I tail them, following them all over castle town. The two hedgehogs seem to argue a lot. I bet it gives that female (C/T) a headache. Man, I'm getting a headache just listening to them! "How goes the hunt, Jasper?" I let out an involuntary shriek as I hear my boss, Vector on the other end of the radio. "I-It goes fine, b-boss. Nothing noteworthy to report. They're just a group of sightseeing tourists. I think that fox guy has a screw loose. These guys don't look like terrorists to me." "Just do the job, will ya? No mocking the client while on the job!" I sigh, "Yes sir..." This is going to be a long day. I can feel it.
