Chapter 9~
Finally, after 30 minutes more, you and your friends had finished your meeting. Whilst everyone else split up and went their separate ways, Byakuya asked if he could walk to your house with you. You agreed, but you knew he was going to talk about that moment in the coffee shop.
You both were walking peacefully down your street, until you decided to break the silence.
"So... about the moment in the shop..." You started, looking down shyly.
"It's ok. They were going to find out sooner or later, anyway," Byakuya replied, a kinder tone of voice compared to his usual tone, "By the way, when are you going to be moving in? I need to reserve a guest room for you,"
"Oh, tomorrow hopefully. If I get all my packing done today, I'll be able to get a small van over to your place tomorrow, at mid-afternoon if that's ok,"
"Sure. Do you need any help? I have nothing better to do until around 6:00 pm, so I might as well come over,"
"Of course. Though I hope you don't mind my place being a bit messy. I didn't have time to clean it this morning," You say, stopping outside the door of your apartment building. You open the door, and immediately head to the staircase, Byakuya close behind you.
You both arrive at your room, and as soon as you go through the door, you rush to a pile of empty boxes and start clearing the shelves of valuable things, putting each item into a box carefully and neatly. Within a few minutes, Byakuya joins in, sorting through your arrangement of books. This wasn't the most romantic way to spend an afternoon, but at least it was slightly fun. And in no time at all, everything that needed to be packed had been sorted out. Since you were still going to keep your room, you didn't pack every item, but you packed the most important and valuable things, like pictures of your family and letters from your older brother who was in South Korea. You then called your aunt, who specialised in moving things, to help take the boxes to the mansion. Everything was sorted, and you couldn't wait to settle in to your new room.
"Ok, everything's done," You say, putting down your phone on the kitchen table. Byakuya, who was sitting on your bed, smiled slightly.
"Well, I've got to go now, I have an online business meeting to attend in 20 minutes. See you tomorrow, darling," He said quickly, getting up and heading for the door. He gave you a quick peck on the cheek, and left. You couldn't think through what had just happened, but you couldn't stop thinking about how he called you 'darling'. You laid down on your bed, but you quickly fell asleep from the excitement of tomorrow. Finally, life was becoming better day by day.
