Chapter 3
"Gold..."
Gold looked really tired. He looked at Silver, his eyes still filled with exhaustion. "You...you need something?"
What?
"Uh...can I come in? It's really cold." Silver pleaded to Gold as he shivered. Gold blankly stared before nodding quietly. He stepped aside to let Silver in. Silver got inside before Gold closed the front door. Gold walked to the chimney so that he can light a fire to warm Silver up. If there was one thing Silver noticed was that Gold was being completely different. After Gold lit the fire, he walked to the kitchen to grab a cup of water to drink.
"Gold...how are you feeling?" Gold looked at him quietly with a blank face before speaking.
"I'm fine, I guess." He simply replied.
He's never like this. Is he still mad at me?
Silver sat near the chimney as he sighed in relief from the heat. "Gold...I..." Silver tried to speak but noticed that Gold was drinking his water before he placed the cup in the sink. Gold looked at Silver with a blank stare once again.
That stare. Stop with that fucking stare, Gold.
"Gold...can we talk?" Silver asked to him, feeling concern washing through him. No response was given to him but he did see a left arm shrug. "About what?" Gold replied back in a dull manner. Silver figured that this was his manner due to him waking up in the night. Silver walked up to Gold and hugged him in a tight grip, although he felt Gold flinch from it. Then he realized why and loosened his grip.
"Gold, I'm really sorry that I left you on that day. I knew that leaving you and Johto was going to be a big mistake but I never thought about and I'm sorry if I-"
"What are you talking about?"
What? What the hell? Does he not know what I'm talking about?
Silver looked at him dumbfounded. "Gold, do you not know what I'm talking about? You should know, you idiot!" Silver yelled at him as he shook him violently. Gold was starting to feel panicked but he wasn't going to run. "Look, I'm sorry but I really don't know what you're talking about!" Gold replied back as he started to fight out of Silver's grip.
"Bullshit! I know you know what exactly I'm talking about! So cut that shit out!"
"Hey, I really don't know what the fuck you are talking about! Now let go of me!"
"No!"
"Let me...go!"
Gold broke out of Silver's grip and fell to the floor from it. Silver was shocked to see this behavior from him. Gold stood up as he growled quietly. "Look, I'm afraid I have no idea what you are speaking about, but if you're gonna put your hands on me or insult me in any way, then you can leave my house!"
Silver was shocked at Gold's tone. It was a tone that he never heard before. It sounded like he had authority right there. "I...I'm sorry...I..." Gold sighed quietly before walking up the stairs. He ran his hand through his black hair before speaking. "You can stay here for the night, there's blankets on the couch with a pillow...but please," He looked at him, his golden eyes flaring with authority and anger.
"Please be gone in the morning."
He walked up the stairs after saying those words. Silver has never ever seen Gold like this at all before. Most importantly, he didn't even remember the day he left. Silver sighed quietly and put the fire out before getting in the blankets on the couch and resting his head on the pillow. He sighed quietly and looked at the stairs. Gold didn't come back from upstairs, which proved that he most likely went back to bed.
"Gold...what happened to you...?" Silver whispered quietly. Then he realized.
The car crash.
Did the crash leave more damage than he thought it did?
He sighed quietly. He felt tears enter his eyes.
......................
Silver opened his eyes and noticed it was 6:30AM on the clock. He sighed quietly before standing up to go to the bathroom. He hoped that Gold didn't mind. He entered in the bathroom and turned on the light, his eyes squinting from the sudden sight of light.
His eyes were red, he cried himself to sleep.
A faint whimper escaped his lips, but he wasn't going to cry again. He ran his hand through his red hair. "I shouldn't have left..." He mumbled quietly to himself. "If I hadn't left...none of this would have happened..." He turned on the sink and splashed some water on his face before turning off the sink and drying his face with a small towel. He walked downstairs.
He put on his black jacket before walking towards the front door. He sighed sadly and looked at the stairs. Gold was still sleeping, of course. "Gold...I'm sorry..." Silver whispered before opening the door and leaving.
He shivered in the winter cold again before starting to walk. He needed to find somewhere to stay. He looked around the town and noticed there really wasn't much places. He ran towards a tree and hid behind it. He curled into a ball. He really wanted to speak with Gold about that day, but it seems like it won't happen.
At least for now.
Tears began to enter Silver's eyes. "He...does he not remember that day anymore?" Silver whispered to himself. "Most importantly...does he not remember me anymore?" He knew that the car crash that occurred a month ago must have left more damage than anticipated. He looked at his Pokegear and went through his contacts. He needed to talk with someone.
He typed up a message and sent it to the person. Afterward, he closed his Pokegear and whimpered.
He began crying quietly to himself. He felt so alone.
......................
Silver woke up and looked at the Pokegear to check the time.
8:45AM.
He heard footsteps approaching through the snow. He gasped silently and stood up immediately. Was it Team Rocket? Was it a intruder? Was it Gold?
"Jeez, you look like shit. Are you alright?"
That voice.
Silver looked and saw the source of the voice.
Red, staring at him with concerned eyes.
