EPILOGUE

I woke up with a gasp and I smiled brightly as I sat up.

"I remember." I say and I look around to see I'm lying on a bed in an empty room. I stood up and I notice the place as Magnus Bane's apartment. I heard the sound of glass breaking behind me and I spun around only to come face to face with a very shocked Magnus Bane, a broken wine glass lying at his feet.

"Where is my husband?" Was the first words out of my mouth to him. "My brother? My parabatai?" I asked him and he finally snapped out of his state of shock.

"They're at the insitute. Mayrse called them." He explain shortly and my expression darkend slightly at the mention of my mother in law.

"Take me to them, please?" I plead and he nods but there is a streak of hesitance in it. "If you're worried that someone will attack you, don't worry, I'll protect you." I tell him and he smiles warmly at me.

"Alrighty then." He says and makes a portal with his left hand. I think of the institute and I walk through the portal. I end up in the kitchen and I smiled slightly as I could now fully remember all the times I've spent in here. I hear the portal close behind me but I still feel Mangus' presense behind me and I started making my way to the training room, which was the closest to the kitchen.

"Where is Alec?" I asked the first shadowhunter I saw.

His jaw dropped and his eyes widened but I didn't have time for being awestuck. "Hello? I asked you a question." That and the slap behind his head seemed to pull him out of his shocked gaze.

"In the main room." He told me and I took of running towards said destination. I got a few looks from shadowhunters but I could care less. I just wanted to see Alec. My husband.

"Alec!" I yelled as I reached the destination, catching the attention of the entire room but I only cared about one person's attention. The person who was accross the room, his jaw hanging open as he looked at me.

"I remember. I remember everything." At those five words, Alec started running towards me and I did the same, but he stopped after a few meters. When I was in his reach, I jumped and he caught me. Just like every other time. We hugged each other and tears leaked out of my eyes on their own free will. Eventually we pulled apart and he set me down but kept me in his grip, afraid to let me go.

"Why didn't you tell me we were married?" I questioned him softly.

"At first I was scared that I would scared you away and then when I wanted to tell you, I saw how much it affected you that you couldn't remember us and I didn't want to put that on your shoulders as well." He told me and I gave him a loving smile before smacking my lips to his. And just like every other time, my head spun and my knees went weak.

"You know I would love some nieces and nephew's but I would prefer it if you made them in the privacy of your own room." I hear my brother say making Alec and I pull apart.

"Jacey!" I called out and sprinted to him, we hugged each other tightly.

"Sam?" I heard the hesitant voice of my parabatai call out, I let go of my brother and turned to her.

"I remember, Iz." I told her and she smiled widely before barreling into me. We hugged each other for a while. I eventually let her go and I reached out to my husband again, who gadly took me in his arms again.

"Do you have your runes back?" Alec asked suddenly. We pulled apart and sure enough, all of my runes were back.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" I questioned him, confused.

"Well, my wedding rune started burning about a day ago but it was different than when the bond tore. It was almost like when we got married." He told me and I nodded.

"I have no idea why my runes are back." I cut him off when he opened his mouth. "But I do remember what happened to me that night."

"I might be able to help with that." Magnus said from behind me and I turn to him but didn't move away from Alec, I missed him to much. In fact, his arms wrapped around my waist and my back was firmly pressed to his toned chest, his head lightly resting on mine while I placed my hands on top of his, liking the feeling that skin-to-skin contact with Alec brought me and the tingles that shot through my body.

"Well don't just stand there, spit it out." I said and my family chuckled at my lack of patience.

"Before, I couldn't figure out what your memories was linked to but now I do. It's your angelic power. The angel blood that runs through your veins. A warlock used your angelic blood and bound your memories to it. It's genuis if you think about it, hiding it in plain sight. And when you and Isabelle preformed the parabatai ceremony, it unlocked your angelic power once again, along with your memories." Magnus explained and I gave him a greatful look.

"Thank you, Magnus, you didn't have to help us or take care of me when I collapsed but you did it anyway." I told him sincerely and he looked at me surprised. I guess he wasn't used to shadowhunters thanking him. I moved in Alec's grip and gave him a look that said, 'let go' and he frowned but reluctantly let me go.

"If you ever need something, remember that I owe you one. Big time." I said, extending a hand to him. He took it with a smile on his face and I found myself mirroring him.

"If you weren't married..." He said, trailing off and I laughed.

"First my husband and now me?" I teased and I hear snickers behind me.

"Well what can I say, you're an enchanting woman." He complimented and I mentally started counting to three. That's how long it will take for Alec to come over here.

"Yeah well, like you said, she's married. Too me." Alec told the warlock, his tone stern and hard as he wrapped an arm around my waist possesively. I rolled my eyes at his jealousy, he has always been extremely jealous and over protective when it comes to me. I don't even want to think about how he's going to be now.

"And that's my cue." Magnus said, a dazzling smile on his face and I grinned at the warlock.

"Don't be a stranger, warlock." My tone was teasing and playful. Magnus created a portal but before he went in, he turned his head to me, cat eyes glowing,

"Wouldn't dream of it, Shadow Warrior." And with that he stepped into the portal, off to the Angel only knows where. I sighed, content with being in my husband's arms and back with my family- this time with memories.

"So, I know this might be terrible timing but we've been wondering for two years." Jace started and a serious expression took place on my face, knowing what he was about to ask. "What happened to you that night?"

Alec's gripped tightend on me and I looked at him, giving him an reassuring smile before looking back at my brother, my parabatai and Clary.

"Valentine happened." I started and Clary gasped in horror and a look of realisation passed through Jace's eyes.

"That's what he ment. The night we killed him." My brother started. "He said, 'I already took everything from you, so whether you kill me or not, I win. By the angel, I couldn't figure out what he ment but it all makes sense now." He spat, his voice angry.

"Well, I'm fine and I'm back." I told him, hoping to calm him down and it worked as I saw him releasing his clenched his fists. "To get back to what happened on the night I disappeared though. I was out on a quick demon mission the Clave wanted me to do when I spotted a circle member and naturally, I followed him. I entered the warehouse and to late I realised that I was lured into a trap. They hit me on the head. When I woke up, I was in pain. I could feel my wedding bond and my parabatai bond being severed and at first I thought that you guys was busy dying then I saw a warlock working magic me, I shut my mind but it was to late, the damage was done.

"I was held captive for a few days before Valentine came to see me. He told me about how every one was mourning my death and that his plan was working perfectly. I tried to get out but I couldn't, I was dehydrated and weak. So, instead, I tried to find out his plan. And all I had to was ask and he told me, I thought it was going to be a lot harder but it wasn't - luckily. He told me about he wanted to raise an angel and then ask them to wipe out the entire downworld. To say I was disgusted, was the understated of the centuary.

"But then he started to talk about his children- Clarrisa and Jonathan. He told me about how they were polar oppisites. One was pure and the other tainted. I didn't know what he was talking about. That is until Jonathan came around. He was filled with demon blood and his daughter was filled with angel blood." I looked at Clary to see her eyes was filled with tears.

"You have pure angel blood in you Clary." I told her and with a heavy sigh I turned to my brother,

"He also talked about us. Said we were his first experiment." Tears filled my eyes and I closed them tightly, trying to get the tears out of my eyes. "You have pure angel blood in you, Jace." I informed him and his eyes widened.

"Did he mention anything about our parents?" Jace asked carefully and realisation hit me, he knew.

"Other than the fact that Michael Wayland isn't out biological father?" I asked, raising my eyebrows and his eyes widened again. "No, nothing."

"Wait, if you and Jace were Valentine's first experiments before his own children, one who is tainted and one who is pure..." My sister-in-law started, trailing of.

"No, Izzie, I don't have demon blood in me. I thought so as well, but my status as a Shadow Warrior made it impossible." I told her, shaking my head. As a Shadow Warrior, my blood is eighty percent pure angel blood.

"Actually, it's not." A voice says from besides us and I turned to the source. Magnus.

"When did you get back here?" I asked him but he shook his head,

"That doesn't matter." Was his simple reply. "What does matter is what I found out about you." He said and I froze in Alec's arms.

"What did you find out?" Alec asked him his tone wary, my ability to talk having disappeard due to the amount of shock I was feeling.

"When she woke up, something was off about her. I knew she was a Shadow Warrior but there was something else, something darker and not entirely pure. So, I started thinking, and I only came up with one explanation. A half- breed." The warlock told us and I broke out of Alec's hold, tears coulding my vision.

"No," My voice was soft and weak, as I shook my head in disbelief. It couldn't be true. It just couldn't.

"I'm sorry, Samara." Magnus told me sincerely, an apologetic expression on his face.

"Half- breeds haven't been around in over five centuries because they don't survive to the birth, the demon blood kills them." Jace pointed out, trying to defend me and I looked at him with a greatful look even though I knew that what Magnus said was the truth.

"That's what I thought, so I came back to see for myself." Magnus told me and the expression on his face told me that he was telling me the truth.

"In a twisted way, it makes sense." I say, my voice soft and everyone looked at me. "I could always kill more than any other Shadowhunter in our generation."

"Isn't that because you are a Shadow Warrior?" A confused Clary asked me and I turned to her.

"Yeah, I thought that too. Until today." I answered her but this only seemed to confused her even more.

"I don't get it, what's so special about a half- breed. Doesn't that make you a seelie, having both angel and demon blood?" She asked and dispite the situation, I let out a chuckle.

"That would have been a much easier option." I tell her, taking a deep breath. "Half- breeds are dangerous, much more so than a Shadow Warrior."

"I thought that Shadow Warrior's are the strongest kind of Shadowhunter there is?" She said, furrowing her eyebrows and I nodded.

"They are, which is why they are called half- breeds. I guess, I'm one to now." I say, shrugging sadly before continuing. "We have an equal amount of both angel and demon blood inside of us, no mundane blood whatsoever. They even have a name for us." I tell her, chuckling humorlessly.

"What is that?" She asked warily.

"Reapers."
