As I engulf my shadows

A shallow creature in the deepest ocean,
I struggle and swim to find a shore,
But my demons try to drag me down again,
And I always give up and let go.

Desperation at its behest- names me in obscurity,
Confrontation, another lie,
For I shove my sword into its heart
And bid my last goodbye

You have showed compassion in the darkest of my times,
Been there eternally, by my side,
Failure does not haunt me much now,
