It was Christmas and Izzy was sitting by the fire place in her castle. She continuously stared at the invite her Admin and sister sent her. It came along with a Christmas sweater, to which she only dreaded everyone must be wearing. There was something about that sweater that it must have had magic. She threw it in the fire place to burn, but it wouldn't. She tried ripping it as well, but had no success. Furious at herself she threw it at the nearby couch. She sighed and looked out the window.

She lives in the Dark Forest. Even there though, you can see the light coming from the Mushroom Kingdom. It's Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year!

Izzy liked to think differently though. It's not that she hates Christmas, it was something else that bothered her. She would never admit this to anyone, but she always felt lonely during this time of year. Sure she had family, but she would rather avoid her mother. As for her sister Liz, she didn't mind spending it with her. Even wearing the stupid ugly matching Christmas sweater with her was she was willing to do if it meant spending time with her. It's just, even if she went, she would feel even lonelier. It pains her to see her sister so happy, surrounded by so many people who loved her. Sure she was happy for her, it's all anyone can ask for. However, it made her jealous. She wished she had as many friends as her, but of course she wasn't as carefree as she was.

Izzy always had her guard up. So making friends wasn't easy for her. She has a few though, and she treasures them so much. You won't hear her tell them that though, but she definitely would stand up for them in a heart beat...

After staring into the Mushroom Kingdom light for a good while, she rose up from her spot. She looked around and shook her head. The room was dark, no decorations whatsoever.

"This is how I am going to spend Christmas?" She mumbled to herself.

Without much thought, she grabbed the Christmas sweater and flew out the door. It was cold, most likely to snow later.

Flying ahead, without really knowing where, she shivered. She put the sweater on and sighed. She looked down at herself and rolled her eyes at the thought of every other OC wearing it. She quickly came to the conclusion when even her butler, Crescent, was invited. Along with the invitation came the sweater as well.

Although deep down she was surprised it was very warm.

Not wanting to go to the party, she decided she still didn't want to be lonely. So, she set out to find her friend...

The black-themed Sprixie fluttered out of the Dark Forest. She headed toward the Mushroom Fields, where she knew for a fact that the mushroom was there.

"Paaaauul?" She called out.

"WHOS THERE?!"

Izzy yelped when she felt someone bite her arm. She looked down at the source and grumbled.

"Really?"

"Oh, I thought you were a human..." Paul let go of her arm.

"How is it possible for you to bite if you don't have a mouth."

"Who knows and who cares? Why are you here?" Paul began to slide back to his nest.

"Did you... I don't know... receive an invitation to a-"

"Ridiculous Christmas party? Yeah, I did. And I'm not going."

Izzy sighed. She sat down on the ground. "It's just, I would go with a friend. And I was... kinda hoping you'd go."

Paul looked at her. "You? You wanna go?"

"I don't want to. I'm just gonna go so Liz won't bother me later on..." She slightly lied.

"She's gonna bother you anyway."

"True."

"I mean, I'm trying to figure out how they think I'm gonna wear that sweater anyway! I have no arms..." Paul stated.

Izzy picked up the sweater and put it over him. She gasped, seeing that the sweater changed his skin.

"Oh heck no..."

"That's... weird."

"Take it off!"

She smirked and was about to pick him up, but he threatened to poison her.

"Oh come on, Paul. For me?"

"No!"

"... P..."

"Hm?"

"P...P...Plea..."

"Fine."

Izzy smirked and fluttered ahead, Paul sliding after her.

The two arrived to Toad Town. The lights were so bright!

"Ugh..." Paul mumbled.

They both made it to the castle, where the "ridiculous" party was being held.

"Do we wanna do this?" Paul asked.

"Nope." Izzy opened the doors.

Everyone turned to look at who just entered. Everybody gasped and stayed silent.

"IZZY!" A high-pitched voice squeaked.

Something zoomed toward the Sprixie, and now that something was hugging her.

"Let... go!" Izzy demanded.

"You came!" Liz said excitedly.

"Nah man, this is her other twin." Paul said sarcastically.

Liz gasped. "And you came too!"

"And now I'm leaving-"

"No you're not." Izzy hissed.

The Mushroom rolled his eyes.

The party resumed. Izzy and Paul went to a corner, avoiding all beings in the ballroom.

"Hey Izz!"

Izzy looked to see Violet.

"Wassup dude?"

"Why are you talking to me?"

"Because I can," She smirked.

Izzy rolled her eyes. "Right. What do you want?"

"Nothin'. Just saying... hi." Vio shrugged.

Izzy looked her up and down, then gave a small wave. Then she Sprixie fluttered over to her twin.

"When does this thing end?" She asked.

"I... actually don't know." Liz giggled. "Do you have to leave so soon?"

"Just... asking." Izzy glanced down. She then noticed a change in the temperature. "That's odd..."

Soon the door opened again and everyone looked.

The one and only Megera Strikes.

"MEGGY!" Izzy tackled her friend with a hug.

"Ah, hello Izzy darling! I was looking for you all over!~" The humanoid snow-leopard hugged her back. "Never thought I'd catch you here..."

"Oh, uh, yeah..." Izzy glanced down.

"Hm." Meg narrowed her eyes as she glanced around the room. She wasn't wearing the sweater.

"Can I just say you all look like fools wearing that thing?" She commented.

Izzy glanced down at her sweater. And suddenly, she couldn't take it anymore.

"But it's warm! And nice! A-and, you're just saying that because you're a villain!"

Meg raised a brow. "Oh, I see what's happening. You want to be a fool with these fools?"

"..." Izzy glanced at Liz, who was watching silently.

"I'm not a fool. And neither are they... I mean they're dumb but not too dumb."

"Well, I guess that settles it then. Cheerio... Lizy." Meg then vanished.

Izzy sighed and vanished herself to Violet's room in the castle. Liz eventually found her.

"Why'd you do that, Izzy?" She asked her.

"Because I... I um..." Izzy bit her lip.

Then, she felt her twin's arms around her. And she found herself hugging Liz back.

"Because I... I guess I l... lo... love... you."

Liz giggled. "I love you too, Izzy!"

"Awwwwwww!"

"HEY!"

Peach ran off, not wanting to be scorched.

"Merry Christmas..." Izzy mumbled.

Liz waved her wand and a black present appeared. "Merry Christmas to you too~"

Izzy opened it and found a much better sweater just for her!

"I didn't get you anything..."

"Hey, you coming to the party was my present." Liz smiled.

And with that, we end this Christmas story.
