Shikamarus pov

I woke up this morning without neji laying in bed with me. I immediately panicked. Did he run away? Did he leave me?

DID SHE TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME?

"neji!" I jumped out of bed and ran around the house screaming his name. I made it to the kitchen and saw...

"good morning shikamaru-San!" neji smiled brightly as he cooked by the stove "you slept in a bit so I discided to cook you some breakfast and some lunch for when you go to work-"

"neji!" I threw my arms around him and sobbed into his shoulder "thank god. Thank god your ok"

"shikamaru why are you crying?" neji asked worriedly.

"oh darling I was just so scared when I woke up and you weren't there" I said stoking his cheek "please baby promise not to leave the bed without waking me up from now on"

"ok but I- ahh!" he clutched his head in pain. His quickly fell to his knees in pain.

"Neji!" I grabbed him by the shoulders "neji darling are you alright?"

"mmm I heard a voice in my head. She sounded sad and worried just like you" he mumbled "I don't regonise that voice though"

"maybe it's your memory returning" I said gently pulling him into my chest.

When I found neji in the streets he was covered in burses and had amnesia. The only thing he could remember is his name and age.

I looked at him worriedly as he turned a deathly pale.

"you should take the day off school today sweetheart" I said kissing his forehead.

"ok" he muttered softly.

I carried him to bed and tucked him in. He closed his eyes with a pained look on his face. He looked so sickly. I wish I could stay and look after him but I needed the money to keep this flat going. For me and nejis sake I had to keep working.

A went to work and decided to talk to a supervisor about my predicament.

"hey listen I have a sick lover at home and I need to look after them. Is there any chance I could get pay leave at least for a few days?"

"absolutely not" she said smugly "we're understaffed as it is and besides your young boy. You don't know the first thing about suffering. In fact I think you could do a few extra shifts for us" she shoved some files in my arms and walked away.

"bitch" I muttered under my breath before walking away.

Nothing can be done about it I suppose. Me and neji need the money. I'm just gonna have to put up with it. Argh what a drag!
