draco pov

The next morning when I woke up with a very stiff back. I stretch and look around the hospital wing granger is up reading in a bed harry and weasley are both still out cold along with Sirius "Malfoy what are you even doing in here" granger asks didnt she see me trying to save sirius last night?

"I fell asleep after getting Sirius and Harry out of the third floor" I whisper.

"like you really cared." why is she always like this i'm sirius's best friend and i thought she liked sirius and respected her wishes unlike her brother i guess im wrong.

"granger why don't you like me" i dont want to be rude she is still sirius's friend and i dont want her mad expecally while she is hurt.

"well for one you are probably the only reason one of my good friends doesn't want to be in the same house where it is much safer, 2 your rude, 3 you constantly beat up one of my best friends is that enough or should I keep going" really there are more reasons Sirius should be in slytherin I'm not rude and it's harry's fault we get into fights.

"those aren't valid reasons" i say annoyed

"ok how about your playing with Sirius's heart and I know you don't really care or you wouldn't pin her against her brother. how about you lie a lot" i dont play with sirius's heart i actaully love her but i cant say that.

"how would you know if I'm lying" besides what have i lied to her about i mean really we havent had many conversations.

"because Harry wouldn't lie to me and Ron" she says I decide to turn back to Sirius. i fined arguements with gryffindors pointless they are just thick headed and annoying. which also ends in me fightinh harry as well. Please wake up i think to sirius. Then she stirs in her sleep wow it's like she could hear me creepy. If she would just open her eyes I want to make sure she is ok.

I stroke her hair and her eyes flutter open. "Draco?" she said more as a question.

"hey Sirius" I say granger did a gaging noise. what is her deal!

"Draco is Harry ok" she asks it hurts a little but it is her brother.

"Sirius Harry is ok but madam pomfrey says he won't wake up till at least tomorrow she will probably be surprised your up I'll get her" granger says

"thanks 'moine" as soon as granger leaves the room Sirius throws me into a hug. i was pleasantly srprised by that and smile at her she smiles back then i remeber she is probably in alot of pain. luckly that transaction was only a second so my next statment will still work.

"whoa Sirius calm down your hurt" I say placing her on the bed.

"I was so scared" she says i wanted to make the terror never enter her eyes again but i dont know how to do that.

"it's fine your safe" I say

"yeah now I only have a head ache but I'm use to those" she says

"I don't think that's a good thing" i say but it is better than her being in real danger other than from her triping over her self she shrugs.

madam pomfrey comes out. "ms. Potter I didn't expect you up till at least late this afternoon how are you feeling"

"ok just a headache" she says madam pomfrey goes off to get a potion.

"so Sirius what happened" granger asks

"well querrel had you know who on the back of his head I talked back to him a bit he was going to kill me and Harry so Harry pushed me out of the way me being me I banged my head on the stairs and I blacked out there was more but i was ether nocked out or distracted"

"what could distract you" granger asks Sirius blushes then says

"you know shock of seeing you know who" she says but I could tell there was something else but  Madam pomfrey comes back out so i cant ask.

"drink this it will put you back to sleep once you wake up again you will probably be able to leave." Sirius nods

"well see you two later" Sirius says and downs the potion I take the cup from her hand and a minute later Sirius is asleep.

"ms. Granger you are free to leave as you please you injuries where by far the least." granger nods but goes to sit next to harry's bed. We sit in silence about a half hour later madam pomfrey makes me and granger go get changed and head down to breakfast which is halfway over.

When I made it to the great hall pansy came over. "is Sirius ok what happened?" she asks I explain to her and all the slytherins around what I know of last night.

"she should stop hanging out with the gryffindor they influence her in a bad way" Rob a third year on the quittich team says.

"what could we do she is going to be with her brother for the next few months." Sam asks i really didnt like that thought i wanted sirius to stay well sirius.

"we could uh... Kidnap her" crabbe says

"that is bad in so many levels" John says

"wait that could actually work" pansy says everyone besides crabbe and goyle turn to her is she mental Sirius would probably kill us let alone what Harry would do.

"well maybe not kidnap but take her to our houses in a way so she doesn't go to the muggles she hates them anyway." pansy says

"that would probably still require kidnaping pans" Alex (a third year) point out.

"it's not kidnaping if we get Sirius to agree with it" pansy say defensively. no it is still kidnaping if her gaurdians dont know where she is but i see where this is going.

"good point so who's house is she going over" Kelsey (first year) asks then all fingers point to me. Well besides Kelsey's.

"why me" I ask a little shocked I thought pansy or Jess would be all over the chance. i mean i wouldnt mind having sirius over for the summer i love having her over.

"because your her best friend"

"I'll ask her" the girls squeak excitedly. The third year boys winked at me giving me a thumbs up. Me crabbe goyle Dan and John had no clue what was going on.

"come on Draco you have to make it special when you ask her" the guys laughed as I got dragged away by the girls even some second years we sometimes hang out with came along.

"now Draco you have to make this right." Natalie a second year says.

"its not like Sirius hasn't been over my house before" all the girls roll there eyes. what did i say wrong i mean it is true.

"those where only a couple days a week max this is the summer do you think your parents will say yes"

"most likely my mum already invited her last time dad might not be too happy about it but i think it will be fine" I shrug

"how fast could an owl get to your house" Kelsey asks I shrug I don't time the mail. but it seems like these girls think i should is sirius the only sane girl

"do you think you could get a reply by 7 tonight" Jess asks

"how am I spouse to know"

"your clearly no help I'll right the letter you guys get him ready" Sam says the girls talked excitedly about where they would get me to ask Sirius and what I should wear every time I tried to say something I was just glared at and told it was a stupid idea.

"what's the point of me even being here if I'm not helping in anyway" I ask rather annoyed sitting around giggling girls.

"no we need your opinion on things" pansy says but rachel a third year says

"draco go but be back here for 6" I nod and go up to the hospital wing to see sirius. Granger is sitting there again in-between harry's and Sirius's beds like them Weasley is still fast asleep. I noticed that there where candies and things in front of Sirius's and harry's beds that weren't there before. There wasn't much Harry had a bit more.

"Malfoy what are you doing here"

"seeing my best friend" why else would i be here i mean doesnt she always see me around sirius shouldnt i vist her while she is hurt.

"where did crabbe or Goyle come in" she says she had no clue they just follow me around. She is an annoying mud blood. I wouldn't call her that Sirius would kill me. I chose to ignore her and sit next to Sirius.

"really you only seem interested in Sirius when somethings happened to her other than that she is with the weasley twins me, or some slytherin girls."

"I'm with her more than that" where ever Sirius is I'm never far behind I fell incomplete without her but I can't tell granger that she would tell Harry and I would be in major trouble.

"then why do I only see you when you are in the hospital wing" she asks

"thats not true I was in the library with both of you a week ago" she just rolls her eyes.

"like you even made an attempt to talk to her she should be in gryffandor you know" how does sirius put up with her

"no she shouldn't" i say rather irritated

madam pomfrey came out. "both of you will have to leave if you are not perfectly silent" we nod and I just look down at Sirius. Why does granger say those things I'm always with Sirius. We spend ever meal together except the few when the weasley twins steal her. I talk to her in every class which granger doesn't see. I walk with her just the two of us most of the time to our next classes. Again only slytherins know that. We spend countless hours talking.

Granger sees her what an hour or 2 a day and I'm there half the time its one of the 2 hours I don't see her while we are both awake. Excluding weekends because Snape is very strict about her potions studies. If sirius was up she would tell granger.

I wonder when Sirius will wake up I miss her a lot already. It's only been a few hours but the prolonged hours of worrying makes a difference. Why is it always her that I worry most about I don't even care about my own safety as much as her's. I don't think she feels the same way. I hold the hand that has the ring I gave her months ago. Surprisingly Harry granger and weasley never noticed this ring. The slytherins all did but they didn't. I rubbed it in my hand.

I hope that she has amazing dreams right now. I wonder what she dreams about I hope it might be me. A small smile was now on her face. Granger looks at me. "what are you playing with" she asks I look at my hand and realize I'm still playing with her ring.

"just a ring" I shrug not want her to know about it.

"is that the gold band she always wears she would like you touching it she never let's anyone" granger says I bite my tongue to hold in my laughter. So that's how they didn't figure out.

"I don't think she would mind" I say still playing with it.

"she loves that ring don't know wear she got it but she wouldn't want someone like you playing with it"

"oh she wouldn't mind" I say i was happy she still loved the ring after i gave it to her 6 months ago it is a real sign of out friendship.

"how would you know"

"because I was her friend before you where and I know how she got the ring"

she rolls her eyes and mutters "yeah right Malfoy" i was going to rebut but madam pomfrey comes back out

. "I told you two to be silent"

"I'm sorry ma'ma I was wondering when would Sirius be waking up" I asked in a kind tone.

"any where from now to tomorrow morning would be normal and healthy but that doesn't mean you can go and wake her up now" she says

"how about Ron" granger asks

"after the potion I gave him he should wake later today and can leave tomorrow." granger smiled at this.

"now both of you are not aloud to speak unless you want to be kicked out get me if anyone wakes up" she says and leaves the room.

"stop playing with the ring" granger whispers I shake my head no and just sit there. Is it selfish if I want Sirius to wake up. 

Sirius pov

I hate sleeping potions because if you naturally wake up before a certain amount of time you cant really get up. I would only know this because I think they stoped having as much effect on me a couple injuries ago. I think I have been in the hosptial wing a total of 12 times this year. Most people go once or twice but having to break up Harry and Dracos fights and just random dumb luck I have been a lot.

I felt Draco play with my ring. I could tell it's Draco because his hand sends a spark threw mine. I'm mad madam pomfrey lied I'm not able to wake up for at least 15 minutes. 'is it selfish if I want Sirius to wake up' I hear it was faint but definitly Draco.

But yet it wasn't like hearing his voice a minute ago when I woke up to him asking when I can wake up. I found that sweet and zoned out everything else. I wish I could get up just 15 minutes.

I feel Dracos hand let go of mine and hear a crash. Laughter from definitly hermione rang in my ear. "what scared you Malfoy" she says

"nothing" he says way to quickly

'that was weird I heard Sirius but she is definitly asleep' maybe this is the mental conection that was given in that book.

'Draco' I think trying to make him hear it.

'Sirius how can' but it got cut off. I could tell if it was working again I tried to make it work but nothing came after 15 minutes I was finally able to move.

I fluttered my eyes open. "hi Sirius" Draco says sweetly hermione glares at him. why he is my best friend she knows that right?

"Sirius how are you feeling" hermione asks

"fine normal um what's that stuff" I say pointing to a trolly of sweets at the end of mine and harry's beds and some other random things unfair Harry has more.

"some people sent things"

"wait people know what happened?" i asks confused how could people know it happened what last night well news does travel fast but they dont know the full story.

"well kinda there are crazy stories going around some are close to the truth others are just crazy and far from the truth." hermione says that made a lot more sense

"ok well I don't really dissever it Harry kinda made me stay hidden" I say

"well you solved the potion with out you me and Harry might have died with out an antidote" hermione says

"see you dissever it" Draco says hermione glares at him harder. Madam pomfrey comes out.

"I thought oh ms. Potter your up how are you feeling" im guessing it was the standered no talking opps there are other people in here but she cant yell at me.

"good" I say simply

"ok let me just check for any more injuries and you can leave and take these two with you they are to loud" I nod her wand went over me. Hermione frowned probably not wanting to leave Harry and Ron.

"ok your free to go. I'll send your things to your room and ms. Granger I promises to contact you if mr. Potter or weasley wake up" hermione and Draco fallow me out hermione was grumbling about it being unfair that now there was no one she would even be talking to in there.

"don't worry 'mione she'll probably let you back later." I say knowing from my many trips

"yeah I'm going up to my dorm I'm still a little tired see you Sirius"

"see you" and she leaves to go up as me and Draco head down.

"so what do you want to do"

"dont know head down to the common room see people well probably no ones there but besides the point we can just hang out" I say shrug i really just wanted an afternoon with draco.

"I would like that i was worried about you Sirius" he says I blush should I tell him about the bond no now he would be mad that I didn't tell him right away. We made out way into the common room.

"Sirius!" it was pansy Sam Jess kelsey John and Dan who all scream it crabbe and goyle being slow didn't even turn yet. I was tackled into a hug by all of them.

"can you guys let go your suffocating me" I say they all let go. you know they arent that worried with my normal injuries i guess news really travels fast plus draco might have told them.

"so Draco gave us some idea and the portraits have been spreading rumers all morning, but what happened last night" John asks I explain in very specific detail of everything I remember exculding the part of the mirror before the stone.

When I told them about the chess game they all laughed at robs stupidity and when I got to the potion part they all cheered for me my friends are awesome. Well when we are only around other slytherins no they are still awesome we just pretend to be snotty pure bloods that most of there parents want them to be. It is kinda hard not to act with them. but it always makes for funny conversations later.

"so Sirius did you get the candy I sent you" steph a second year I know asks when she passes.

"yeah thanks" I say she walks off.

"how much stuff did you get?" Dan asks

"I have no clue I'll be back" me and the girls ran upstairs there was even more than what was in the hospital wing in front of my bed.

"yeah that was us we found it pointless just to send you things" Sam explains to my shock of even more stuff i had more than harry now.

"thanks" I say grab the cards there was a bunch from older slytherins I know.

There was a card from Fred and George "we tried to send you a toliet seat it got taken away will give it to you next time we see you feel beter little slytherin" there was random cards that said you did great. To rap it up all my friends excluding Harry Ron hermione and Draco sent me something saying I ether did great of or hoping I get better.

Me and the girls toke down a tin of chocolate frogs some every flavored beans some honeydukes chocolate (it is said to be amazing) and some fudge. We went to the boys we where now the only ones in the common room everyone else is outside. We sat around eating candy and laughing. For some reason the girls left around five thirty well excluding pansy.

Then at 6 she said "ok Draco come on we have to do the thing" she says what did she mean i wanted to hang with them unfair.

"I still don't get why your making a big deal out of this" he says annoyed.

"big deal out of what" I ask

"nothing just stay here" pansy says and drags Draco out of the room while he waves. I wave back.

"what is that about" I ask the guys shrug I could tell they probably knew but I'll probably figure out later. We play a game of exploding Snaps. At six thirty we where going to head to dinner when pansy came in.

"Sirius your not leaving" she says

"and why not I'm hungry" I say well i guess i could hold up i had a lot of candy but still i kinda wanted to have diner

"nope your not aloud to go to dinner boys you can go" she says letting the boys pass out the room but blocked the exit from me.

"pansy why won't you let me eat dinner" I ask annoyed.

"because" she stops and it annoys me

"because why?" I ask egging her to go on she can be annoying like this well a lot.

"it's a surprise" she says I roll my eyes.

"so when will I go to dinner" i kinda wanted to eat with my friends it is always more fun then eatting in the kichen or ordering by house elf what is the surprisr.

"don't worry you'll eat later" she says

"but why not now"

"I'm not telling it's my job to keep you here" she says i dont know if there are more people in on this but it is smart to send one of my best friends to stop me.

"pansy your one of my best friends but I want to go eat" I say annoyed.

"Sirius you can argue but we both know who will win" she says I roll my eyes sadly it was true i may have a temper and can scare some people pansy knew me well now and can stop me.

"so when will I be able to go eat" I ask

"that depends but don't eat anything" she says taking the choclate frog out of my hand.

"your lucky my brother is out cold in the hospital wing or he would be freaking out" this is the only time i could use that over protective brother of mine.

"yes yes very lucky now come on up stairs" she says draging me. My glasses almost fall off.

"why are you dragging me upstairs" I ask annoyed.

"because you need to wear something nice"

"why?!?"

"for the surprise" she says can she be any less specific what is the stupid surprise. if this is a stupid party thing for the saving the stone im going to kill her. i really dont want that. i still want alone time with just draco.

"have I ever told you youre annoying"

"on many occasions"

"can you just tell me why im getting dressed up" I ask as she hands me my favorite green robe.

"just get changed" I get changed why I listen to pansy I never know.

"now take off your glasses"

"pansy I can't see with out my glasses I don't care how nerdy I look with them I need them"

"this summer I'm making sure your going to a special eye healer to get those done but for now your lucky I have contacts for you" she gave me a box of contacts that was in the things I got earlier today.

"first when did you learn what contacts are and second where did you get them" i ask surprised i mean wizards ether do spells to get theres fixed or wear glasses.

"oh Sam's aunt who is a squib uses them sam told me about them because I wanted to break your glasses when they broke for the millionth time. So I told Rachel who is a half blood and her mother knows a bit about muggle things so we figured out"

"pansy I get the point but I never tried contact" I say getting really tired off the over explaining.

"oh you just kinda open your eyes wide and place them in" pansy shruged I went to the bathroom and gave it a try. It burned my eye when I placed it in it toke a minute but I got it. I went back out.

"perfect now your eyes aren't hidden by your annoying glasses." I roll my eyes and I could feel the contact move.

"these are really weird"  i complain really just wanting my glasses back

"but you look much beter lot less like a nerd" she says

"hey"

"Sirius you really do look like a ravenclaw when you have bed head" it was Sam Jess fallowed her into the room.

"wow Sirius you look nice we can actually see your eyes" Jess says

"shut up it's not my fault I have bad eye sight" they just want to bust on me it is so annoying but at least there wasnt another comment

"well we came to help with makeup" sam says

"why are you guys dressing me up it's annoying" I ask i mean i just got out of the hospital wing and im hungry and pansy wont let me it a chocate frog!

"you'll see and be thankful we are doing this" pansy says

"what if it's something I don't like"

"oh you'll like it" the three girls say they sit me down in a chair and start to do my makeup every time I try to talk they shush me. Maybe they are planing a party this would be a very weird excuse for a surprise party.

It has something to do with Draco. Maybe they are trying to play matchmaker and set us up. They are annoying well pansy has been getting closer to doing this for months now. Well all the girls think we are a perfect match and bug me about it. They finished my makeup in 20 minutes. i was annoyed it was 20 minutes of just sitting in a chair.

"ok now we need to keep you here" Jess says at 7:30 Kelsey comes up.

"wow Sirius you look amazing"

"still don't know why I have to look like this" I say annoyed.

"come on it's ready" the girls drag me along to a classroom they open the door. All the girls I hang out with are standing in front of something.

"presenting Draco Malfoy" one of them says and they part revealing Draco with slicked back hair in a tux and with a rose. I could even see pansy from my side drooling over him. I personally prefer his hair messy but all the other girls think in attached to his pines back hair. He takes my hand and kissed it handing me the rose the girls gave him a thumbs up.

"see you two later" they call and Jess yells "don't come back out unless you two are a couple" I roll my eyes.

Once they all leave me and Draco take seats a table in the center of the room which happens to be the inputting in here besides the candles that light the room. "Sirius sorry about this" he says blushing a bright red

"yeah what was up with that" I ask

"well it's a long story"

"we have time" I say knowing the girls wont want me to come back till curfew

"first let's start dinner" he says setting up our plates.

"thank you" he shots me a smile.

"second before I tell the story I have to ask do you want to come over my house for the holiday and my parents already said yes and don't think of your self as a burden" i chuckle softly at his rambling

"Draco your rambling and I would love to come over your house" he blushes a bright red then it seems to register what i said.

"really that's great" Draco says excited

"now let me guess the girls set this all up because they wanted you to invite me to your house and us to become a couple"

"that pretty much sums it up now Sirius why did you let them put makeup on you you have natural butie. Also what happen to your glasses"

"I didn't have a chose in ether im wearing contacts. now you know i like it better when it isnt slicked back"

"the girls thought it looked better I told them that" Draco says shaking his head. they really didnt care for our prefances just what they thought looked nice

"I can believe they went threw all this work" I say looking around.

"yeah they wouldn't let me stop them" I laughed picturing the sight. Problem with the girls all being ambushes and cunning if a lot have a common goal there is no stoping them.

"oh shut up" he says playfully hitting my arm. I glare at him and we both go into a fit of laughter. We ate and talked with out a care in the world it was a nice change from last night. When it got late We headed back to the common room I thought of something that I havent thought about for the last two hours with Draco.

"Draco I know Harry will not let me spend the summer away from him what will we do?" I ask

"Sirius it will be fine and we won't know until he wakes up" he says yes that makes me feel so much better. Note the sarcasm. He must have noticed the worry on my face. "Sirius calm down come on let's just relax" I nod in agreement and we head into the common room.

2 days later

Classes are really boring everyone is bugging me about the night with Voldemort. I was happy we didn't have dada anymore it just gave me some more free time. Harry had woken up earlier today but I wasn't aloud to see him. Hermione and Ron only got five minutes because they where there. They told me that he won't get out for a while. When I went to see him he was already back asleep.

Fred George an I where messing with anyone and everyone in the castle. Well excluding the hospital wing because that is rather rude. they also did give me a toilet seat which i hide in my dorm for next years first years "sirius your going to get into trouble" its hermione

"you sound like Harry and I'm doing nothing wrong I simply gave the twins a potions that makes a person cover in boils what they do with it is there choice" I say innocently. yes i could get in trouble but i loke to help the twins

"sure" hermione says Rolling her eyes. "now go to the library" she says

"did Harry make you keep an eye on me" she blushed.

"little slytherin hurry up" George says and I run off with them. Hermione and ron kept coming up to me all day to stop what ever I was doing. Wether it was playing quittich with draco and my team. If it was playing random games outside or even just walk to my common room. Hermione and ron always seemed to appear and make me do something else or I would go hide.

I am currently being dragged to the library with hermione. "so Sirius what are you going to do over break" hermione asks

"well I'm goingoverdracoshouse" I say really fast.

"what?"

"was that a what as in your mad or a what as you didn't understand" I ask not exactly sure. really hoping it is the second one.

"the first Harry will not be happy about this your spouse to say spend the summer with Harry"

"but that would be a lie" I say i mean she has to chose do i lie or do i tell the truth and her not like it there is no winning with hermione.

"im telling Harry and dumbledore it's not safe there and it's for your own good" she ran off before I could stop her. Great just great she always has to do what ever she or Harry thinks is right. Well at least I'm free from her I went to go find Draco. I was basically running so I could tell him the problem. Of course when I turn the corner I run straight into him. My glasses fall why didnt I wear the contacts or put the stupid spell on.

"hey Sirius you ok" Draco says picking me up and placing my glasses on me.

"thanks yeah I'm fine well not fine I told hermione that I'm going to your house over the summer and she is telling Harry and trying to get me not to go" I say rather quickly Draco hugs me. i dont know if it was to dtop me from talking or a sweet gesture anyway i feel sparks and a smile overtakes my face.

"it fine Sirius you will be going to my house come on its been annoying barley seeing you all day let's go hang out" I nod and follow him. I have been missing him today he was the main person Ron and hermione tried to keep me away from. Well I get to see him now.

5 minutes earlier Draco pov

I was annoyed more liked pissed. Today every time I hung out with Sirius granger or Weasley would show up taking her away. I missed her I honestly missed her. I don't know why that always happens but it does. I always miss her so much. She is like my sun. Wow I sound cheesy.

You know I'm going to go find her. I started to walk around looking for her I ended up in a random corridor after corridor when out of no where Sirius runs right into me. Well I guess someone was listening to my prayers to find her. After making sure she was ok we headed outside to our spot. I felt a little tingle in my hand and looked down to see sirius's hand in mine she intertwined our fingers and I close my grip and smiled at her. She smiles back I felt the warm feeling that only comes from sirius.

We sit down in our spot by the lake. We didn't need to talk she laid her head on me and we just sat in a peaceful silence. Soon the silence was ruined by granger and Weasley coming over.

"Sirius come on Dumbledore wants to talk to you" granger says

"can Draco come"

"no" they say sirius gave them a very annoyed look

"let me rephrase that Draco would you like to come with me"

"I would love to" granger and Weasley glared at me as me and Sirius went to the castle. We made it to Dumbledores office. Sirius nocks on the door.

"come in" dumbledore calls we walk in.

"ah ms. Potter oh and mr. Malfoy what are you doing here" he asks why do people find it weird when i fallow sirius places i mean i always do it but teachers or harry ask what is malfoy doing here.

"I asked him to come" both me and Sirius are blushing a bright red.

"now ms. Potter don't you want to go home to your aunt an uncle spend time with your brother and cousin" it toke all I had not to laugh in his face and yell at him. Sirius on the other hand was laughing her butt off so I joined in. "mr. Malfoy ms. Potter what's so funny" Dumbledore says strictly. Making us stop our laughing.

"let me explain I hate my aunt and uncle"

"ms. Potter isn't that a little extreme they are your family" that wasn't extreme she has told me about those filthy muggles they hurt Sirius I couldn't allow her to go back.

"but sir my parents already said yes to her staying the whole summer" I say my dad would be pissed if the plans changed now.

"mr. Malfoy I would have to go against this ms. Potter needs to go home for a little while. mr. Potter will be livid if him and his sister do not get some quality time." I scowled wow i scowled at the headmaster.
