Asriel looked at the stary sky as he sat in his back porch the night before the party with Brittney, worry heavy on his shoulders. He couldn’t place it, but he knew the Shadow Warriors would attack soon. He couldn’t help but think of the defeats they have had, making him worry more. ‘Am I even a good leader? Am I fit to lead?’ Asriel thought to himself in doubt. He knew Arceus had chosen him to lead the Light Warriors to victory, but he didn’t feel like he should. Asriel closed his eyes, just trying to think of why he should be the one to lead the way.
He looked up to the stars, searching for Arceus amongst the heavens as he began to sing to himself, like he was talking to Arceus.

Why?

Why even trust me at all?

Asriel looked at the stars, trying to figure out what he should do.

Now everything feels so upside down…

Asriel felt tears fall from his eyes as he remembered Brittney dying because of him, terrified that he would cause her to die again.

Deep down, maybe I knew,

It was way too good to be true,

With all my friends looking up to me,

Some leader I turned out to be!

Asriel could see the life leave Brittneys eyes as she had fallen onto his body, remembering how his world had been broken. As he looked back up to the sky, Asriel felt a warm wind blow around him, stirring something in him.

Maybe my journey is far from done,

They need a leader, and I’m the one,

So now it is time for them to see,

The leader I was meant to be!

Asriel felt a little more confident as he looked at the stars, seeing a constilation he named the Knight and Sword.

It is time for me to take the lead on my own,

It is time to leap into something I have never known,

Now I believe I truly am the one,

Asriel stood up, smiling as he saw a shooting star race across the night sky.

Asriel smiled to the heavens, feeling reassured that Arceus was watching over him and his fellow warriors, showing Asriel just who he was.

Asriel knew he would lead the Light Warriors to victory, with Arceus at his back to help him along the way, with Brittney to steady his paw, with Flae to soothe his turmoil, Nightmare to show him tranquility, Zoey to advise him in there quest, Lerisa to give him hope, Josh and Brandon to support him emotionally and physically, as well as Orron, to push him to his limits.

It is time to lead the way on my own,

It is time, for something bigger than I have ever known!

Asriel nodded to the heavens, silently thanking Arceus for showing him the path, that it was all in him all along.
