A unforgettable christmas
Asriel smiled to himself as he walked with his mom and Lerisa to Brittneys house, a large bag of gifts in his paw. “Do I look okay? Does my breath smell good? Do I smell good?” Lerisa asked for what had to be for the umpteenth time that hour. “Yes, Lerisa. You are fine for the last time!” Asriel said as Lisa just laughed at her children.
As they walked up the steps, Brittney was the one to open the door to her house, welcoming them with holiday greetings, making Asriel blush when Brittney kissed his cheek. Lerisa laughed till Zoey came around the corner and wrapping him in a tight hug, making Asriel laugh in turn.
“Come in, Come in! Make yourselves right at home! Dinner will be ready in a hour,” Sarah said, giving each of them a hug (Lerisa settled for hugging her leg, albeit blushing). “Thank you again for inviting us over for Christmas,” Lisa said as Jake helped her out of her jacket. “It is not a problem Lisa! I know that Andreas won’t be making it this year for Christmas, so why not spend it with us? And besides, Asriel is my future son-in-law,” Lisa replied, making Asriel and Brittney blush; it was clear Brittney still remembered Asriels proposal and had told her parents about it.
Thankfully, Asriel was saved by Nightmare walking in to sight, a smile on his face; Asriel couldn’t help but bust out laughing at seeing the reindeer antlers on his head. “Merry Christmas,” Nightmare told them, giving them each a paw shake in greeting. “Where is-,” Asriel began before he heard Flae singing in the living room. Asriel blushed neon at the costume Flae had on when he walked into the living room.
Flae was wearing a elf costume, complete with ears and skirt.
Come and decorate my Christmas Tree,
With some decorations bought at Tiffanys.
Next year I can be just as good,
If you come and check off my Christmas list,
Flae sang, dancing over to Nightmare and pecking him on the cheek. Asriel chuckled lightly at the blush that soon covered his friends face as a result before Brittney led him into the kitchen, asking for his help.
“I am making cookies and I have the base dough, but I am yet to decide upon a kind. Ideas?” Brittney asked as she took out said dough from the fridge. “Recess?” Asriel suggested as he went to go wash his paws. Brittney smiled, nodding in agreement as she went to get the candy. Drying off his paws, Asriel took a moment to look around, smiling happily as he realized just how lucky he was to have a girl friend like Brittney. ‘And one day wife,’ Asriel thought, but he shrugged of the thought as Brittney came back from the pantry, a two pound bag of Christmas recces pieces in her paw.
The music picked up a notch as Asriel and Brittney began to work. It was a song that made the couple smile, both singing along. Brittney kicked it off as he put on his gloves, singing low but high.
*Asriel is in the parentheses ()
I really can't stay (Baby it's cold outside)
I gotta go away (Baby it's cold outside)
This evening has been (Been hoping that you'd dropped in)
So very nice (I'll hold your hands they're just like ice)
Asriel smiled as he took Brittneys paws in his own, looking into her eyes love struck while Brittney looked embarrassed.
My mother will start to worry (Beautiful what's your hurry?)
My father will be pacing the floor (Listen to the fireplace roar)
So really I'd better scurry (Beautiful please don't hurry)
Well maybe just a half a drink more (I'll put some records on while I pour)
Asriel sung, pouring cups of milk for everyone at the party.
The neighbors might think (Baby it's bad out there)
Say what's in this drink? (No cabs to be had out there)
Brittney sang, making a small amount of milk levitate in her paw before giggling lightly.
I wish I knew how (Your eyes are like starlight now)
To break this spell (I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell) Why thank you.
I ought to say no, no, no sir (Mind if move in closer?)
Asriel took Brittney into the crook of his arm, winking flirtitously.
At least I'm gonna say that I tried (What's the sense of hurtin' my pride?)
I really can't stay (Baby don't hold out)
Baby it's cold outside
Brittney: Ah, you're very pushy you know?
Asriel: I like to think of it as opportunistic
I simply must go (Baby it's cold outside)
The answer is no (But baby it's cold outside)
The welcome has been (How lucky that you dropped in)
So nice and warm (Look out the window at that storm)
Brittney once again took Asriels paws in her own, blushing lightly as she put on a worried look.
My sister will be suspicious (Gosh your lips look delicious!)
My brother will be there at the door (Waves upon a tropical shore)
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious (Gosh your lips are delicious!)
Well maybe just a cigarette more (Never such a blizzard before) (And I don't even smoke)
Ironically, it was snowing outside when Asriel moved the curtains of the kitchen window.
I've got to get home (Baby you'll freeze out there)
Say lend me a coat? (It's up to your knees out there!)
You've really been grand, (I feel when I touch your hand)
But don't you see? (How can you do this thing to me?)
Asriel looked heart broken when Brittney insisted on leaving.
There's bound to be talk tomorrow (Think of my life long sorrow!)
At least there will be plenty implied (If you caught pneumonia and died!)
I really can't stay (Get over that old out)
Baby it's cold
Baby it's cold outside!
Asriel and Brittney kissed right when the song ended, the exact moment when everyone else wandered in to the kitchen. “And just what have you two been doing in here?” Jake asked, making the couple blush intensely.
They were saved from saying anything as the oven dinged, signaling the cookies were done. “Dinner time everybody! Follow me!” Sarah said, leading everyone to the dinner room.
Asriel was stunned by the lay out of food, and the sheer quantity of food not helping. “Who else do you plan on feeding? There is only eight of us,” Asriel asked as he took a seat with Brittney to his left, Lerisa to his right. “You will see,” Sarah said, winking at Asriel; Brittney gasped. “You mean uncle Draco is coming over?!? This wont be enough then,” Brittney said quickly, but Sarah just waved her off with a chuckle. “He told me he will eat before he arrives sweetie,” Sarah said. “Who is Draco?” Asriel asked.
Right at that moment, a deep rumble shook the ground, a small wave of snow hitting the window. Jake laughed as he got up from the table with Sarah, walking outside. Asriel gave Brittney a confused look, a feeling shared by the everybody else. Flae and Nightmare were the first to gasp (the former with a little squeak). “This must be Asriel! I have heard a lot about you!” a deep voice said behind the Lucario.
Brittney got up with a smile on her face saying “Uncle Draco!” happily. When Asriel turned around, he just about jumped out of his skin in surprise. A charizard was standing behind him, hugging Brittney and wishing her a merry Christmas. Asriel was at a loss for words as he held out a paw for him to shake, stuttering out a greeting.
Draco only chuckled as he moved to the side, letting another Pokemon enter and boy, was Asriel stunned. A Delphox walked in behind the dragon, her eyes a rich ruby, a color brought out by her cream white fur around her eyes. She was wearing a deep purple dress, her curves brought out by the tightness of the cloth. “Now Draco dear, don’t scare him now; don’t want to scare the puppy; he might wet himself,” the Delphox said with a laugh, making Asriel blush from embarrassment and slight anger before he turned around, looking at his plate. The only thing that prevented him from shaking too much was Brittney placing a paw on his gently.
‘Who is she?’ Asriel asked Brittney in her mind, directing the question about the Delphox. ‘That is my sister, Cynder,’ Brittney replied as she took her seat, nodding to the next question Asriel was about to ask before he asked it. Asriel was amazed as he saw the couple sit together, wondering just how those two fell in love, especially with a-.
“If I may make a toast,” Jake suddenly said, snapping Asriel out of his thoughts as he looked away from the two. “This has been a most delightful year, with family, friends, and family-to-be,” Jake began, making Asriel blush at the implication while Brittney giggled. “Though Jason was unable to come to dinner, we know he is with us in spirit, and for that, we should be grateful for,” Jake said, making Asriel tense. Instantly he switched to his aura vision, looking around the room to see if he could find Jason.
To his surprise, Jason was actually there, looking happy for them. When Asriel raised an eye brow, Jason just looked at him, his wand waving in the air, words appearing. ‘I want to spend time with family, even if I am not there,’ Jason wrote, making Asriel smile, nodding in agreement.
When they began to eat, Asriel couldn’t help but smile at Brittney, this being there first Christmas together. Brittney returned the smile, her eyes shining a little. Asriel smiled right until there paws touched again, crying out in pain when he felt something stab into his mind. “Asriel! Are you okay?!?” Brittney asked, gasping when Asriel’s head began to bleed.
Asriel was unable to say anything as he was knocked out by another stab of pain, everything going black around him as he fell.
What the heck just happened to Asriel?!? Stay reading to find out!
Next time (I think): Asriel discovers a painful truth.
P.S: do y'all think it is a bit early to be doing a Christmas chapter? (Thats right; I'm Texan, born and raised).
