FIVE YEARS LATER

PRISS
I crouched slightly and placed a kiss on his forehead.

"Happy birthday and a merry Christmas my heartbeat", I greeted as his eyes flickered open with a wide grin as he drew me closer with a hug and pulled me closer to his chest, he kissed me lightly before turning around as he got on top of me.

"Good morning, my angel and a merry Christmas to you, beautiful", he said before kissing me again, this time it wasn't light as he deepened the kiss.

"Well, this is a beautiful morning and yeah, we've got to stop, a foetus is growing in me", I said as I tried to wriggle my body out of him.

He smiled sheepishly as he held my body tightly.

"You ain't going anywhere and what's this about a foetus growing in you, don't tell me it is what I'm thinking?", he queried with a gigantic smile.

"Yeah, it is", I confirmed and the next second he started raining kisses on me.

"OMG!!!", we heard a voice, no two say . I pushed him away from me as we both looked at the people that spoilt our blissful moment.

"Frank, you're here, hi Zina", Cliff greeted as I got up from the bed and walked up to them.

"Merry Christmas", I greeted the two of them before squatting to greet Laila, their daughter, after greeting the cute girl, I walked over to Frank as Gabby extended his hand towards me with a cute smile, he was Laila's younger sibling and I was really fond of him as he was also my daughter's mate.

Two months after Zina had Gabby, I have birth to Toria which was two years ago, it was the happiest moment in my life, I'd never imagined getting married let alone have a child to call mine.

After Cliff had gotten out of coma, his mother changed towards me, I really can't fathom what happened but she became loving and caring, maybe Cliff and Chloe had spoken to her and she's gotten back to her senses but I don't know all I know now is that she's the best mother-in-law you could ever which for.

Immediately I had Victoria, her love grew exceedingly as she spent the first few months at our place, she took a great care of me and Victoria whom she's really fond of. I'm certain her joy would be overboard when she hears about my pregnancy.

Okay, back to the present. I took Gabby in my hand and planted a kiss on his forehead.

"Happy birthday and Merry Christmas Cliff", Zina greeted as Frank walked up to him, they did their weird greeting while I walked out with Zina and her kids.

Zina and I had gotten really close given to the fact that we were neighbours, after Cliff proposed to me in which I literally freaked out and almost fainted which was really bad, it was one of the embarrassing day in my life, he decided to buy a house beside his previous house which he stayed with Zina and Frank though the house was meant for him and Zina but he claimed it to be his gift to the two of them, Zina and I got really close after our wedding and we were practically like sisters.

"Babes", a voice which I could never forget called, yeah, Tenola approached us with a grin with her babies and their nanny

"Merry Christmas dear", Zina greeted with a beautiful smile before playing with Joseph's cheeks, he was a chubby little man unlike his twin sister Josephine who was really skinny, they were identical twins who combined the look of their parents.

Tenola and Davies got married few months after my wedding but had their kids early this year which makes Toria a year older than them.

"Merry Christmas, you're not like some people that cannot even greet us", she said while eyeing me.

"Hey, I was going to greet you naa", I assured as she smiled before greeting Gabby and Laila.

"What of your husband?", she directed the question at me and before I could reply my one and only beat me to it.

"Right here", he shouted as we all turned to him, he was carrying Toria who was playing with her fingers, Frank waved at Tenola before Tenola greeted Cliff.

"Happy birthday dear and a merry Christmas "

"Same to you", Cliff responded.

"But it isn't my birthday", she joked and we all bursted into laughter.

"You look stunning, my queen", Cliff commended as I sat by him, currently we were at our garden having the Christmas celebration, everywhere was bubbly and effervescent with happiness written over everyone's face, this past years, we were all happy and satisfied so far there was no one to disturb our peace.

Zuleha had gone back to Paris with her daughter and I heard she was getting married soon, typical of her, she'd forgotten Jabal and had left him to his date.

"Gosh, I really can't get enough of this", Chloe complained, she was sitted with Niniola and they were opposite us.

"Sure, you can't, you need to stuff my baby well so he'll be very healthy when he comes out", Niniola pointed out as Chloe laughed hysterically before stopping abruptly as she winced in pain.

"Babe, what's wrong?", Niniola asked as he fidgeted.

"Ahh, my water just broke", Chloe announced and Niniola paced around, man is extremely scared, he doesn't know what to do.

"Hey, dummy, won't you get me to the hospital?", Chloe yelled and Niniola picked her up bridal style, I wondered how he carried her 'cause she was twice her size now.

Mother which is Cliff's mom followed them as we tried going too but she stopped us and told is to stay at the party and take care of everything here.

"I'm getting a birthday mate from the family", Cliff bragged.

"Sure, you are", I said while beaming with smiles as I prayed Chloe delivers safely.

"Hey, baby", Zavrina greeted as she approached our table with the company of Chris, her boyfriend and Kelly who also came with his girlfriend, Ella, the one he had been dating since high school, I really admired their love, currently, they were in the same college. Zavrina had just started her master's program.

"Hi dear", I greeted before others took turn in exchanging pleasantries as Christmas songs played solemnly.

It's been an hour now and we were yet to hear any news concerning Chloe, everyone were getting worried now but they masked it with fake smiles.

I was getting uneasy as I prayed inwardly for her safe delivery. Minutes later, Cliff's phone rang.

He excused himself and came back few minutes later.

"Chloe just brought a beautiful baby boy to the world", Cliff announced as we all erupted.

"Yayyy", we all screamed and there comes our happily ever after.
