A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Three.

----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

I could just tell that Thorin did not like the human girl. I mean he has never liked man that much but based on the way he acted, they weren't going to get along and all of the company knew it.

The girl helped us out of our sacks; Fili and Gloin immediately went over to the dwarves that were on the spit whilst Thorin went over to Gandalf, presumably to have a go at him for inviting the human to join us.

I had nothing against humans, I find their way of life interesting and I would love to learn about it a little more.

Kili came over to me and smiled at me "Those sacks were horrible" he said shuddering making me laugh "You think I liked being in them? I hate not being able to move around" I say sitting down on the rock that looks out over the path we just walked.

Kili climbs up and sits next to me "It's so pretty" I said bringing my knees up to my chest "It's nice but nothing compared to you" Kili had a smirk on his face when he said that "Haha. Mister Smooth here" I joked.

"Kili, can I ask you something?" I asked as he slipped his arm around my shoulder, I presumed in a friendly way "Of course" he said looking down at me slightly "Why have you stuck with me throughout our childhood? You are from the Line of Durin and you could have any dwarf you want, practically every dwarf our age wants to be friends with you and yet here you are" I said, finally voicing my thoughts.

"Hannah, there is a reason why we have always been close. We have so much in common, I feel like I can tell you anything and I know you would never judge me" he said in a comforting voice "It's hard for me to imagine my life without you" he sounded kind of reminiscent as he spoke.

I smiled up at him to which he returned "I have always liked that smile" he says and I found myself blushing "Always quick with the compliments Kee" I said giggling "Well I have to be when you are the only girl here and surrounded by boys" he said making me laugh.

"Excuse me?" we heard a voice from behind us. The two of us turned around to face Charlotte? I think that was her name "I believe there's another girl here now" she said crossing her arms.

I jumped down from the rock "That there is. Nice to meet you" I said bowing "My name is Hannah" I introduced myself and she held her hand out to me which I shook "Charlotte. At least you're more welcoming than that other dwarf" she scoffed after she spoke.

"I wouldn't talk about him like that if I were you" Kili said coming to stand behind me "You don't exactly want to be on his bad side" I said and Charlotte shrugged "Oh believe me. There has been a lot worse in my past and I am sure there will be a lot more in my future" she smiled at us after speaking.

"Well, if you are going to join us and you want to have a peaceful time with us. Stay away from Thorin and don't anger him" Kili said sternly before walking off.

Charlotte looked to me "Want to join me?" I asked motioning to the rock that I was sat on earlier "I don't see why not" she climbed up onto the rock with me.

"I apologise for Kili's behaviour earlier" I said feeling the need to apologise for him as he doesn't always act like that "I promise you. That is not how he usually is" I spoke in a reassuring tone.

"It's fine" Charlotte said waving me off "I understand that it must be different to have a random human that you have never met, join you on a quest that I honestly have no clue about" she said laughing slightly at the end.

I felt someone's presence behind me so I turned around to see the other son of Durin standing there "Hello Hannah" he said as I jumped down "Is everything alright Fee?" I asked and he shook his head "Not quite. You might want to go and talk to Kee, he doesn't seem all too happy" he said and he then nodded his head in the direction of where Kili went.

I walked over to Kili, who was sat on the grass looking rather unhappy with himself which was unusual for Kili because he was always the chipper one of the two brothers.

I sat down next to him and he looked to me "I am presuming my brother sent you over here" he said and I nodded "Well of course" I said laying my hand on his arm "Who else is he supposed to send when you are over here looking like a little baby" he looked shocked at my words.

"Kili, we have a job to do here. We can't let a little bump in the road, such as Charlotte joining us, get us upset. Yes, she angered Thorin but who here hasn't?" I asked with a smile which managed to make him crack a smile too.

Kili sighed and started to play with his hands "I do understand where you are coming from Hannah" he said but I could tell that there was more he wanted to say "But, Uncle doesn't do well with new people especially ones that just show up out of nowhere. I knew this wasn't going to be easy, let alone be a walk in the park but now, I just don't know" he said looking at me with sorrow in his eyes.

"I don't know Kee. I don't know how everything is going to pan out, I don't know what is going to happen" I stood up as I spoke before pulling up Kili so that he stood next to me "But what I do know is that we are going to reclaim Erebor" I said placing my hand on his cheek.

"I believe you"
