A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Seven.

----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

Of course Kili and I were eavesdropping on the conversation that Charlotte and Fili were having. There's such a thing called curiosity, let's just hope that the curiosity doesn't kill anyone.

I turned to Kili who seemed to be more intrigued in staring at me, rather than talking or listening to anyone else. When I caught him staring, his cheeks reddened ever so slightly "Is there something I can help you with?" I asked and he shook his head "Not at all. I was just admiring the sight in front of me" he spoke softly, causing me to blush also.

"Why is Fili being so kind to her?" I voiced my thoughts to the brunette dwarf next to me. He glanced over at his brother and the human "I don't know. You were kind to her, so why can't he be kind to her?" Kili sounded slightly confused when he spoke "Females need to stick together at this point Kee, I can only put up with so many males until I go completely crazy" I explained my reasons for being so kind to Charlotte, also not all dwarves were accepting of humans so I knew she would need someone to at least talk to but not necessarily be a friend.

Fili smiled at Charlotte before he came over to Kili and me. He sat down opposite us "I know you were listening" he stated and Kili smiled innocently "I don't know what you are talking about brother" Kili said trying to sound innocent but it just wasn't working "Why were you listening?" Fili asked, turning to me this time as he knew he wouldn't get an answer out of Kili "Because we were seeing how you interact with her" I told him simply.

Fili sighed and crossed his arms "Do not meddle" he warned both Kili and me "Would we really do that?" Kili asked with slight sarcasm in his voice "Yes, yes you would. I do not want you two getting involved" Fili said, he sounded slightly annoyed "Especially you brother" Fili pointed at Kili as he talked.

"We were just wondering as to why you are so kind to her, I would have thought that you had your Uncle's beliefs" I stated with a slight smirk on my face "Well, excuse me for not wanting a poor human to freeze overnight. I don't find enjoyment in seeing frozen people in the morning" Fili spoke jokingly "I don't have my Uncle's belief Hannah, I don't despise all humans" he said with a sigh at the end.

"I was just wondering; I mean it isn't like she is going anywhere, anytime soon" I defended myself and Fili smiled at me "You just make up your own little fantasies in your head Hannah" Fili stated making me shrug "I have an imagination Fili. Plus, I am allowed to get bored – I fantasise at times" I explained myself.

Fili and Kili exchanged a glance, it confused me at first but I quickly got over it as they did it all the time, Kili silently glared at his brother afterwards "What did he do?" I asked Kili referring to him glaring at the blonde dwarf "Nothing Hannah" Kili said sighing "Didn't look like nothing" I said but Kili brushed it off.

I didn't get why Kili wouldn't just tell me what was up, he doesn't just glare at people like that. He rarely glared at anyone, let alone his own brother. It confused me a little bit, but it hurt at the same time because he usually told me everything – I probably overreacted, but oh well.

After Fili left, I turned to Kili with a slight smirk on my face "Are we meddling?" I asked and he nodded "Of course we are. Who does he think we are?" he said making me laugh "I do feel bad though, maybe we should just leave it to the two of them. They can develop a friendship on their own, I'm sure" as I spoke, Kili nodded in agreement with me "I don't say this very often, but you're right" he said and I gasped, before I hit him playfully on the shoulder "I am always right Kee, you need to learn these things" I said jokingly.

I lied down on the grass and looked up at the sky, it was dark and the stars filled up the sky. Kili lied down next to me and I smiled "I want Fee to have friends, other than me and you" I mused as I stared at the sky "Both of us do Hannah" Kili answered me as he slid his arm under my head, so I used it as a pillow of sorts.

"Charlotte has done nothing to harm anyone yet, she seems to have good qualities in her – I think that she would be a good friend" I moved closer to Kili as I spoke "How do we even know if she is being truthful with us Hannah?" Kili said gently "Everyone wants the people that are closest to them to never be hurt" Kili said as he traced shapes on my arm "We just have to believe Charlotte" I stated quietly, hoping that neither Fili nor Charlotte heard me.

"What about Uncle?" Kili wondered out loud "He can't have an objection, to something as simple as a friendship Kee. If he does, it is ridiculous" I said with a smile on my face "What if Fili ends up being friends with her? And then she isn't truthful, she lies to all of us or Uncle freaks out – what do we do then? How are we supposed to help him" I could tell that Kili meant what he said "We won't be able to help him, it will have been his decision to become friends with her. Just as it is our decision to become friends with her, if we ever do" I attempted to reassure him, I could only hope that it worked.

He was protective of his brother, despite being the younger sibling; Kili had always made sure that nothing bad happened to his brother. They may have constantly bickered like cats and dogs from when they were young, up until then – but I knew that they would always be there for each other; they were not the type of brothers to just discard one another's feelings.

I had always admired how they treated each other – I grew up with them, I had witnessed every single argument, every single dispute, basically everything and anything you could think of, but in the end they would just move on like it had never happened.

"Hanni" Kili's voice brought me out of my thoughts "Have you ever imagined yourself in a relationship with someone...anyone?"
