Twin? - Part 3 - Thor x Reader
"Clint. No!" Natasha exclaimed as the archer let loose an arrow. The sight of a slightly shuddering Thor, making Clint believe that this twin of Loki's, had betrayed them. His eyes growing wide as the ice giantess effortlessly caught the arrow in mid-flight. Thor's eyes shooting open as (Y/n) let go of his face. The god staring between the lethal projectile in her hands, and the archer that had fired it.
"(Y/n) are you alright?" Thor asked. Angered that Clint would dare try and kill her. Even more so, now that he had seen what she had shown him.
"I am fine. Thank you, Thor. I believe that your friend thought I was harming you. And did what he did out of concern for your wellbeing." (Y/n) assured, as she turned and walked over to Clint.
"I promise you. I was causing Thor no harm. I was merely showing him visions of my life. Memories of my past, and the truth of what I was telling him. And I believe that this belongs to you, master bowman. But may I suggest in future that you be a little more careful about who you fire them at. You could have someone's eye out with one of those things." (Y/n) chuckled, as she handed Clint his arrow. The archer not able to believe that she had been able to catch his arrow, as easily as her twin had.
"Now, may I suggest the Director Fury replace the manacles and power limiter. That way you will all feel slightly more comfortable until Thor has been able to tell you what he saw." (Y/n) said as another blinding light filled the room. The bright glow slowly disappearing to once again reveal the princess in her ordinary Midgardian garb. (Y/n) smiling softly as she made her way over to where Fury stood, presenting wrists for him to cuff.

Thor stood watching (Y/n) as she stared out of one of the large windows that looked onto the world outside. He had assured Fury that (Y/n) was no threat. The Director allowing the lady to be move to a more pleasant room. But a room where she could still be watched. For despite the God of Thunders insistence, she was still the twin of the God of Mischief. A master manipulator. A being that could control the minds and create illusions. And if she was as powerful as she claimed to be, then Fury wasn't willing to take any chances.
"Well? What did you see before Legolas over there took it upon himself to try and turn her into a pincushion?" Tony asked, ignoring the glare of the archer as he peered at (Y/n) through to two way mirror.
"I.........I saw everything." Thor began quietly. Not quite knowing what else he could say.
While (Y/n) had held his face softly, through his minds eye he had been able to see her life. As if he was watching it all unfold. Like he had been present for all the most important points in her life.
He had watched his father take the two abandoned tiny frost giants in his arms. Their skin turning from its blue, to a warm pink hue. He had seen his father leave the tiny female bundle with Freyr and the elves of Alfheim, before he had brought Loki with him to Asgard. Thor had witnessed (Y/n) grow, her beauty and magical abilities surpassing even those of the light elves around her. He had looked on as she had leaned to fight. Felt part of the fray as he had observed her battle against all manner of foe. Yet there was always a sadness that hide behind her beauteous smile. A heaviness that he sensed followed her around like a great dark spectre. The knowledge that a part of her was missing.
"Everything is a very broad term, Thor. Can you narrow it down a little?" Tony asked as he turned his attention from the Alfheim princess to the Asgardian prince.
"She is exactly what she says she is. She is Loki's twin. Taken by my father to Alfheim. She is as powerful as my brother, though her magic is very different from Loki's. She has seen Vanir. The deep dark realm of Nidavellier. Been in the freezing mists, snow and ice of Niflheim. She has fought countless battles and won numerous victories. And she has lived amongst Midgardians on many occasions, over many different lifetimes, never harming those around her. And all she wants is to meet Loki." Thor tried to explain, despite knowing he was the only one to know what these other worlds were truly like. The only one to have seen what she had shown him.
"I don't buy it. I think that she is just manipulating your mind." Clint grumbled as he sat on the corner of the table, his arms crossed firmly over his chest. The archer determined that this time he was not going to be controlled. But wanting Thor to realise that she could be using him to get her to Loki, so that the pair could cause more havoc than the God of Mischief had already caused.
"Okay, Clint. We get it, you don't like Loki. And even though he's not at the top of my Christmas card list, if what Thor said is true, then we have to give (Y/n) the benefit of the doubt. She isn't her brother. And she even let Fury put the manacles and power limiter back on. I say that when Thor brings Loki here to serve the rest of his penance, we let the two meet." Steve interjected, himself strangely feeling the sadness that Thor had sensed. The super soldier himself knowing what it was to have someone of such importance missing from a life.
"I agree. If Thor trusts her, then so do I." Natasha added, as she got to her feet. The archer not believing that even his old friend could have been taken in the by the frost giantess' beauty, and sweet words.
"Me too." Bruce declared with a soft smile, as Tony nodded in agreement.
"Looks like you've been out voted, Legolas." Tony said. The others watching as Thor made his way over to where Fury watched the proceedings from the shadows.
"I want to free her. To make her comfortable until Loki arrives. She deserves respect. She is after all the daughter of a god. A lady of light. A queen." Thor told the Director, as Fury pulled the keys for the manacles and power limiter from his pocket and handing them to the god.
"She's your responsibility, Thor." Fury replied as he and the rest of the team watched Thor leave their room and make his way to where (Y/n) waited patiently.
"I have always found that humans are the most fascinating creatures in the nine realms. At once capable of such compassion and love. Of self-sacrifice for the greater good. Yet also capable of such hatred and evil. Of such averse and selfishness." (Y/n) sighed, as she looked out onto the people outside. A small smile pulling at her lips as she turned to look at Thor.
"So, God of Thunder. Have I been judged worthy to meet my brother, or am I to remain forever a prisoner?" (Y/n) asked, as she slowly made her way over to the big blonde. Thor carefully taking her wrists and removing the manacles before the taking off the power limiter.
"I believe you (Y/n). I want you to meet Loki. To help me bring him back to us." Thor replied as (Y/n) threw her arms around his neck. The great god's eyes growing wide as she held him close.
"Thank you, Thor. I promise that I will do all I can to help. To help all of you." (Y/n) told him, as her lips ghosted over Thor's ear. Her cool breath sending shivers down his spine.
"We both need you, (Y/n)." Thor whispered in reply. (Y/n) moving so that she could look into his eyes. The pair moving closer once again as they felt drawn in by one another's lips. Thor unable to think of anything other than wanting to kiss her.
"Well, if you're gonna be staying with us, I suppose that we better introduce ourselves." Tony declared as he walked into the room, his voice forcing the two great beings apart. Thor cursing Tony, as he hoped that it wouldn't be too long before he got another chance to kiss his brother's twin.
