The lost celestial - Part 2 - Avengers x X-Men x Reader
Second part of this imagine for Toulouse365. Hope I didn't disappoint with my choice of mutant. As always, please enjoy.
"So, do you want to tell us about her?" Steve asked, as he, Bruce and Tony came to sit by the side of Charles' chair. All four of the men watching, as two other mutants sat side by side on the sofa and spoke with the rest of the Avengers team.
"(Y/n) has been with us for some time. I knew her adopted parents quite well. Both good people and gifted mutants in their own right. When they passed a couple of years ago, (Y/n) came to stay at the school full time. Amanda and Dan, her parents, went to the orphanage (Y/n) had been sent to after her real mother died, and brother disappeared. They knew that she was different as soon as they saw her. But they thought, just like the rest of us, that (Y/n) was a mutant. From the moment I saw her, I knew that she was something a little unusual. That she wasn't like the rest of us. Her mind even different from every other mutant I have ever come across. Initially, I just put that down to her considerable abilities. But then, a short time ago, she began to become more powerful. As if her abilities were growing, adapting, evolving. She has become stronger, faster, seemingly impervious to all harm. And is now beyond anything that we have seen. I would never have dreamed that she was part, what you call a celestial. The race that created the X-gene itself. But given what I have seen she can do; it sort of makes sense. Though I think that we should be happy that she is only half celestial. I hate to think of what might happen if she was any more than half. And that is one of the reasons that we brought her here. That, and when she mentioned her real last name. I remembered the Guardians. That it was the same surname as the one that likes to call himself Star Lord. When I mentioned him, (Y/n) said that her brother had been called Peter. So, we thought that you may be able to get her in contact with her brother. And you have the facilities to help (Y/n) better deal with her new powers." Charles explained. Smiling softly as he watched the other mutant kiss (Y/n) gently on the forehead. Their hands intertwined as they listened to the massed Avengers tell her about her brother and the other Guardians.
"And who's the guy with her? They seem....... close." Tony enquired, as he looked at the tall man by (Y/n)'s side, with a mop of brown hair, and black eyes with red pupils.
"Ah, that is Remy Etienne Lebeau. Commonly known to most as Gambit. And he and (Y/n) are close. Very close, have been for some time. And if my information is correct, Remy is wanting to make that close, permanent." Charles informed the billionaire. Chuckling as Remy suddenly brought a pack of cards out of his coat pocket. (Y/n) rolling her eyes as he began to shuffle the deck.
"Bit of a hustler, is he?" Steve asked, as the cards in Remy's hands began to glow with a purple hue.
"Remy had an unusual beginning to life. He was born in New Orleans and was kidnapped from the hospital to be raised by the LeBeau Clan Thieves' Guild. He has been a thief, amongst other things, and I wouldn't trust him with those cards. But I can assure you that he has changed. And he loves (Y/n). Since everything has happen, he has insisted on staying with her. So, I am afraid that you will be getting two for the price of one. At least for the time being, anyway." Charles replied. Shaking his head as Remy's cards began to fly around the room.
"Now, if you will excuse me. I think that I should go and speak to (Y/n) and Remy before I go. Let them know that we will still be there when they want to come home." Charles told them. Nodding to the men before his chair rolled steadily over to the other mutants.
"Are we sure that this is going to be safe? I mean, from what Peter told us about his father. That he only needed one other celestial to help him exterminate and remake the galaxy. Are we sure that it's a good idea to bring Quill and his sister back together? Peter may seem like the rest of us, but if what the professor says is true, then this (Y/n) seems to have come away with all the abilities of her father's people. It could be dangerous." Bruce mussed, as he and the two others watched the three mutants and the rest of the team.
"We are the only ones that can help, Bruce. If we have the capacity to deal with the Hulk and two gods, then hopefully we can deal with this too. And it is safer to have her here, than out there. We have no idea who else might have her in their sights. And if she is not sure how to use her new abilities, then it is safer to have her with us. And I know that Peter can be a little........well, lets call it unusual, for the want of a better word. It is not as though he can't be trusted. He and the other Guardians defeated Ronan. Even his own father. So, I think that, though bringing two celestials together could be dangerous, I am sure that both of them can be trusted. The professor is more than confident in her. So that's good enough for me." Steve told the doctor. Completely able to understand Bruce's misgivings, given the fact that they had discovered that one celestial could withstand the attacks of three Skyfathers at the same time. One of those including Thor's own father, Odin. And if they could do that, then goodness only knew what the two Quills together could truly be capable of.
"Anyway, it's a little late to worry about it now. Quill and the others are on their way. They should be back with us soon. So, we might as well go and meet the new members of the team." Tony added, as he patted Bruce on the shoulder and made his way over to the rest of the team.

"So, let me get this straight. My brother flies through space with a raccoon and a tree, among others, saving the galaxy from terrible space monsters and he likes to be called, Star Lord?" (Y/n) chuckled. Quite enjoying the tales that the Avengers were telling her about Peter's crazy life.
"Yep, pretty much." Clint replied. All of them amazed that (Y/n) seemed to be taking the news about what she really was, about her brother and the fact that he was currently flying through space to come and see her, all in her stride.
"I suppose that sounds like something that Peter would do. He did always make up the best adventures before our mother got sick. We actually used to imagine that we were space pirates. Fighting off crazy creatures. I used to pretend that I had special powers, and Peter would use a stick as a gun. Little did I know at the time that I did have special powers, and that Peter would be a space pirate. See, Remy, I told you that you were getting mixed up with a crazy family. You still have time to run after hearing all of this." (Y/n) said, smiling at Remy as he brushed the hair back behind her ears.
"I wouldn't have it any other way, Cheri. And I ain't going anywhere." Remy assured. His deep Cajun accent filling the room as he kissed (Y/n) softly on the lips. The former master thief knowing that his girl needed him now, more than ever.
"Well, I can't wait to meet him and the rest of these Guardians. I hope I don't disappoint. I'm afraid that I've never been to space. I am just a simple mutant that has found out that she is the daughter of a living planet. A space god. So, I just hope that Peter likes me." (Y/n) continued. Afraid for the first time since she saw her mother die. And watched her brother being taken away. The lost celestial never happier that she not only had Remy by her side, but also the rest of the X-Men and now the Avengers.
