The lost celestial - Part 1 - Peter Quill x Reader
Now, this first part is all Peter. But after this first part I will be mixing things up and turning it into a Guardians/Avengers/X-Men crossover, and I will be introducing another character that I haven't written for before. So, please enjoy this first part. And if you have a penchant for mutants, I hope that you will stick around for part 2.
"So, you are telling me that we are going back to Terra?" Rocket groaned, as he and the others looked at Peter. The Terrans head flying up suddenly to scowl at the halfworlder.
"Of course, we are going back. What else do you think I'm going to do? They found her! After all these years. After fearing that I would never see her again. They have actually found her. I have to go back to Terra, because I have to persuade her to come back with us. I'm not going to lose her again." Peter replied. Annoyed that Rocket would even ask such an idiotic question.
"But how can they be so sure that its her?" Gamora enquired, as she placed her hand over Peter's. Doing what little she could to calm his rattled nerves.
"Because she said she is! Why would some random woman claim to be (Y/n) Quill, unless that's who she really is? I wouldn't make any sense. And its not like she would have anything to gain. Plus, that Banner guy did some tests. It proves that she is half celestial just like me. Therefore, she has to be Ego's child, and my sister. Anyway, I know it's her. I can feel its her. I'm the only family she has. I have to go." Peter explained, as he gripped Gamora's hand tighter.
"I am Groot?"
"Yeah, ya got a point there. Why has she only come forward now? And why didn't she get taken with you when Yondu and the Ravagers came to pick you up for Ego?" Rocket asked, voicing Groot's questions.
"Ego probably didn't know that there were two of us. He sent Yondu to get one kid. So, that's what he did. I remember that (Y/n) was with me. But when the ship picked me up, she must have run. According to Stark, she told the Avengers that she wound up in an orphanage for a while, until she was adopted. And the reason that she has only come forward now, is that when Ego died, something happened to her. Something that some friends she lives with, thought that Stark and the others needed to know about." Peter answered. The Guardian's mind more confused than it had ever been before. Peter not sure which of the emotions, of the currently countless that were bombarding him, was the strongest. The Terran fighting to regain his senses as the feelings of fear, joy, pain and hope engulfed him. Quill feeling as though he were drowning under the weight of it all. Would his sister remember him? Would she hate him for leaving her all alone in the world? For disappearing just after their mother had died. Would she even like him? What he was. What he had become. Would she be the same sweet, slightly crazy girl that he had loved? He had often thought about her in the darkness of space. Hoping that she was well, safe and happy. But not once had he ever thought that the two would ever actually meet again. That he would ever be able to take her in his arms and tell her that he had missed her. Yet now, he had the chance to do just that. And he wasn't about to pass it up.
"Great! That's all we need. Another Quill. If she starts wanting us to call her Star Lady, I am gonna laugh my ass off," Rocket commented, as he jumped down from his seat and made his way to the cockpit of the Milano.
"Let's just hope that she ain't as big an asshat as you." The halfworlder added. Rocket not sure that having another celestial on board, would necessarily make things any easier.
"You don't need to worry, Peter." Mantis reassured, as she came to stand by his side.
"Of course, I need to worry. What if she's changed? What if I've changed too much for her? What if she thinks I'm the worst man in the galaxy? What if seeing me was someone else's idea, and she really doesn't want anything to do with me? I was brought up a Ravager in space. She was brought up on Terra with a normal family. She probably never even knew that she wasn't like everyone else. We could be too different. She's a stranger. She........"
"Doubt is only to be expected, Peter. But I know that she will love you, and that you will love her. I can feel it. I am sure that your mother would have wanted you two to be together. That she would be happy to know that you two were reunited. And no matter how different your lives may have been. The different worlds you grew up in. I am sure that you will have more in common than you think. And I don't believe for one moment that she will hate you or blame you for anything that happened. You may be the only real family that she has left, but she is also the only family that you have left, Peter. It will all be fine when we get to Terra. You'll see." Mantis told the worried Star Lord. Peter nodding his head. Hoping that the empath's words would work out to be true.
"Mantis is right. Peter. I am sure that everything will be ok. Why don't you go and make her a copy of the tapes that your mom gave you? If she is anything like you, I should imagine that she would really like that." Gamora added, as Peter looked down at the Walkman on his belt.
"Yeah. I think that would be a good idea. I know mom gave her a tape at the same time, but she might not have the one that I got in my present." Peter replied, as he opened the machine and carefully pulled the cassette out.
"I could calm your mind if you like? Help you sleep." Mantis offered.
"No, but thanks. I need to think. We will be back at Terra before we know it, and I want to be prepared." Peter said with a small smile as he rose to his feet and made his way back to his room. Determined that after all these years, he was going to find the right words for his sister, and not make himself look like a complete and utter goofball, like he normally did.
