No fun - Part 2 - Peter Parker x Reader
(Y/n) peaked out of her room and into the long corridor. The young Stark making sure that the coast was clear. She had hoped that she would have calmed down. That she would have decided that she didn't mean anything that she had said to her father. But even after all these hours of mulling over what she had said, she still felt as though every word was true. Ever since perfect Parker had shown his face, she had felt like second best. Her father had always said that he didn't want to turn into her grandfather. Yet, as Tony had felt that he was always having to compete with the great Captain America in Howard's praises, so she felt with Peter. And that despite everything that she had done. Everything that she had achieved. How she had spent the last few years of her life helping the Avengers. None of that seemed to mean anything. She had worked every spare hour she had on her own suit. A suit that was as good, if not better than anything her father had come up with. Yet she was still confined to the labs. She was technical support. A glorified mechanic that was called on when anything went wrong. She was Q to the Avenger's James Bond. And Parker had been allowed to join the ranks of the elite without having to do anything other than be her father's blue eyed boy. The chosen one. Perfect Peter Parker. Well, no more.
Quietly, (Y/n) shut the door behind her. Slowly making her way down to the garage. She had packed a bag. Retrieved the cash that she had been scurrying away for just such an occurrence, knowing that if she didn't use her credit cards and left her cell phone in her room, that even the great Iron Man would find it difficult to find her. She didn't plan on staying away long, just long enough to decide what she should do. To put a little distance between herself and the two problems in her life.
Let her father have the child that he really always wanted. See if she cared. She could make it without him. Make it without the name. Without the money or the damn company. She wasn't going to live in the shadow of her father or his alter ego, any longer. She wasn't going to be the faceless Stark that scurried around in the background making everyone else look good, anymore. She was going to be known in her own right. Be known for what she could do. And escaping the compound was the only way to do that.
"Miss (Y/n)?" A voice suddenly said as the elevator opened on the underground level.
"Jeez, . Will you not do that. You scared the life outta me." (Y/n) hissed as she clutched at her chest. The inquisitive tone in the AI's voice making (Y/n) huff as she made her way into the garage. Her eyes scanning the cars for the one she wanted.
"Do you require any assistance?" F.R.I.D.A.Y enquired, as (Y/n) moved over to the metal cupboard that housed the keys of every vehicle in the garage. (Y/n) glad that despite how high tech her father may be in the rest of his life, the simple lock on the door to the container proved that he still had his old fashioned side.
"Yeah, F.R.I.D.A.Y. I need you to be quiet and not tell anyone that you've seen me or saw any of this." (Y/n) replied as she pulled a hair grip from her head, and expertly began to pick the small lock. A victorious smile coming to the young Stark's lips as the security device clicked open. Her fingers ghosting over the vast array of keys until they fell on the ones of her chosen vehicle.
"But Mister Stark told me to inform him the next time you came down here. And I do not believe that he would want you to borrow another one of his cars." F.R.I.D.A.Y told her, almost chastising the young woman. (Y/n) rolling her eyes as she popped the hood of the Aston Martin and removed the tracking device. Then slipped into the driver's seat so she could disable the immobiliser.
"Look, you big tattle tale. Firstly, I don't care what my father told you. Secondly, you're not my damn mother, so stop acting like it. Thirdly, I am not borrowing this car, I am stealing it. And finally, you breath one word of this to anyone and I swear that I deactivate you or reprogram you to only speak and understand Elvish. My father may be able to do many things, but last time I checked, being fluent in the language of wood elves, was not one of them." (Y/n) growled. The AI knowing that (Y/n) was perfectly capable of doing both those things. F.R.I.D.A.Y sure that she hadn't quite recovered from the last time that the young Stark had decided to get her own back on her father after one of their silly squabbles.
"But Miss........."
"But nothing, F.R.I.D.A.Y. You can tell my father that I'll drop his precious car off at that little deli he used to take me to when I was a kid. If he can remember any of that. I'll try not to put a scratch on it. Let's face it, the car will be the only thing that he'll be worried about anyway." (Y/n) interrupted, as she pressed the button on the dash. The engine of the Aston bursting into life.
"(Y/n)?" A voice suddenly called out. (Y/n) rolling her eyes as she recognised Peter's familiar tone.
"Go away, Parker. This is nothing to do with you." (Y/n) hissed disdainfully as she went to shut the car door. An audible deep growl coming from the young Stark as Peter grabbed for it.
"I'm coming with you. I can't let..........."
"Oh no you don't! I told you to go away. This is no little joyride. I'm getting outta here. Getting away from you and Tony damn Stark. I have no desire to get between you two any longer. So, buzz off and stop bugging me. Oh, and don't you dare go running straight to daddy. I might not be able to deactivate you like I can with F.R.I.D.A.Y. But one word from you, and I'll squish you." (Y/n) warned, yanking on the car door, trying to release it from Peter's grip.
"What do you mean, your leaving? You can't leave, (Y/n). The team needs you. Your father needs you. I..........I need you." Peter replied. Hoping that he could reason with her.
"BULLSHIT! The team will get on perfectly fine without me. And you and dad only need one another. So, move it or lose it, Parker. I might not be able to shoot webs out of my ass but believe me when I say you don't want to find out what I can do." (Y/n) told him. Finally wrestling the door from Peter's hands and slamming it shut before putting the car into gear and speeding towards the exit.
"PARKER!" (Y/n) screamed as the car suddenly stopped, the tires screaming violently against whatever was impeding its advance. Her blood boiling as she saw that her get away was indeed being prevented by one of Peter's webs. Peter using his strength to hold back the car.
"That's it, Parker. If you won't let me leave, then you and I are going to have it out here and now. Let's prove to dear old dad which one of the two of us really deserves that Stark name." (Y/n) shouted as she stopped the car and climbed out. The two facing one another on opposite ends of the garage.
"(Y/n) please. I don't want you to leave because I........well I........you see I. I just don't want you to leave. You're my friend, (Y/n). And I don't want to hurt you. I ......." Peter began. His eyes growing wide as a shiny pitch black metal suit formed around her. The red eyes of the armour now stood in front of him glowing menacingly as it glared at him.
"Hurt me? Oh, Peter. You don't have to worry about that. Cos, I assure you that quite the opposite will be the case. Now, let's see what the blue eyed boy can really do."
