Night - Part 2 - Tony Stark x Reader

Tony fell backwards off his chair, as a sudden loud gasp for air split the silence of the room. His eyes flying open to see his mystery woman sat bolt upright in the bed. Her wide, wild eyes looking around the room frantically.

"I didn't hurt anyone I shouldn't, did I. Tell me I didn't hurt anyone. Please." The woman begged, gripping hold of Tony's shirt as he came to stand by the bed. His heart thumping against his rib cage, as her pale eyes, eyes that were as pale as the full moon that still hung high overhead, looked up into his deep brown orbs. The billionaire unable to think for a moment as she pulled him closer. The pleading in her eyes making him want to do nothing but reassure her. Even though he had no idea what she was talking about, or how she could possibly ever hurt anyone.

"No. No. Its ok. You didn't hurt anyone." Tony assured. Not sure what to do, as she pulled him into her arms and held him tight.

"Oh, thank god! I thought.......I........the moon.......and everything. I might have........" The woman replied with a relieved sigh. Her grip loosening on him as she turned her attention back to the unfamiliar room.

"W-w-where am I? How did I get here?" She continued, as she pulled the sheet up under her chin. Finally realising that she had no idea where she was, or who the man that she had just hugged, could be.

"Well, er........that's a funny story, really." Tony chuckled uncomfortably, rubbing the back of his neck as he pulled the chair back up to the side of the bed.

"You see...........I was on my way back, from.......back from funeral. And, er.........I........I was driving and suddenly........Well to be brutally honest. I hit you. With my car." Tony explained. The beautiful woman in the bed furrowing her brows as she listened to him.

"You........you knocked me down? But......how? I........."

"You must have been in the middle of the road. It's normally a dark stretch, with barely any traffic. A thick wood separated by a single road. I don't know where you came from. But you're ok. Well......you're ok, now." Tony continued. Not really knowing what else to say as the woman seemed to drift off into her own thoughts.

"I remember it was dark. Always the same dark cell. But one of the guards opened the door too wide when they came to feed me, and I took a chance. I knocked them over, I think that I may have hurt them, but I don't care. They've done nothing but hurt me. Used me. Experimented on me. I ran down a long corridor that just kept going and going. But this time I wasn't going to be stopped. I wasn't going to let them chain me again. They kept coming, but I cut them down. The smell of their blood filling my nostrils. The sounds of their screams like music to my ears. I hate them you see. Hate all of them for what they do. For what they make me do." The mystery lady began. Her words barely above a whisper, yet Tony was determined to listen to every word.

"I knew that every step I took, I was a step closer to freedom. That even though I didn't know where I was going, anywhere was better than there. Then suddenly, I was out in the open. The wind racing through my hair. The light of the full moon giving me all my strength. So, I kept going. Kept running. I knew that they would come after me. I knew that they wouldn't give up on me so easily. But this time I wasn't wearing the collar. This time they couldn't control me. This time they couldn't stop me and drag me back. They couldn't drug me. I don't think I remember a road. I just remember the trees and the thick mist. The full moon spurring me on." The lady sighed, as she suddenly turned her attention to Tony.

"You hit me with your car? I didn't hurt you, did I? Hitting me is never a good thing." She asked. Tony feeling more and more confused with every word she spoke. Confused as to why someone would be keeping her in a dark cell. Confused as to why someone would want to hurt her. Chase her. To chain her and control her. And more confused at the fact that she seemed more concerned for his wellbeing, than her own.

"Yeah, I'm fine. There's a big dent in the hood, and the windscreen is shattered, but I'm fine. You though. You were injured, badly. When we got you here, you had some broken ribs. And the impact from the car cracked both your tibia and fibula. They tell me that you even had possible concussion from hitting her head on the road, and internal bleeding. But now, well now you don't. There's nothing." Tony replied. His lady nodding her head as if this was the most normal thing in the world to hear.

"No, there wouldn't be. There never is. And that is nothing compared to some of the injuries that I have had. I've survived being shot, stabbed, poisoned. I suppose that that is the only benefit to being what I am. I'm pretty indestructible for the most part. Though I can't pretend that it doesn't hurt at the time. So, you hit me. But who are you, and where am I?" She asked. The billionaire not sure how she could do all those things, if, like Bruce had said, she didn't have some serum in her system. Or wasn't something to do with Xavier and the rest of his mutants.

"Well, you're in upstate New York. This is the Avenger's compound. And I'm.......I'm Tony Stark. It's nice to meet you.........." Tony explained, offering his hand as he waited for a name in reply.

"(Y/n). My name is (Y/n)." She replied absentmindedly, as she took Tony's hand and thought for a moment.

"But this can't be upstate New York. Even I know the base is well away from there. I must have run further than I thought. Much further. But that explains why they weren't right behind me. Why they weren't able to track me. Without the collar, they couldn't follow me over such a long distance." (Y/n) suddenly smiling as she looked at the still confused man by her side.

"Do you know what that means, Tony?" Her smile growing broader as Tony shook his head. (Y/n) grasping at both of his hands and holding them tight.

"It means I'm free. Really and truly free. That I am no longer at their beck and call like a lapdog. That they can't use me anymore. Use my abilities to hurt others." (Y/n) declared happily as she pulled the sheet from her body and swung her legs over the side of the bed. A childish glee evident in the new sparkle in her eyes.

"They who, (Y/n)? Who would do all that to you? Who would want to hurt you? To use you?" Tony asked, finally deciding that he needed some clarification, or he might just lose his mind.

"Hydra. Hydra did all that to me. Hurt me. Used me. Controlled me. But not anymore. Now I am going to use what I am, to get them. To make them regret ever having found me. They will all learn to fear my powers. They will learn to dread the moon." (Y/n) replied. Tony suddenly having a feeling that this had all got a lot bigger than he would ever have expected.

"(Y/n). What are you? How can you heal like you do?"

"Oh, that's easy, Tony. I'm a lycanthrope."
