Two of a kind - Part 5 - Wade Wilson/Deadpool x Reader
"I am not talking to you Wade Wilson." (Y/n) huffed, as she, Wade and Logan walked back into the mansion. Logan chuckling quietly to himself as (Y/n) continued to growl at Wade.
"But love muffin. We have to talk about what you did out there tonight. I got so hard watching you kill those cock gobblers, that I could have used my love sausage to bludgeon them to death." Wade replied, as he continued to follow behind (Y/n).
"I am not discussing that. I am angry at you because you promised to let me have a quite night with Logan. To give me some time away from your crazy ass, so that I could feel normal again. But nooooooooo! You had to follow us. I'm surprised that you didn't come into the bar and take a seat between us." (Y/n) continued to growl, as she got to the door of her room and turned to face the two men.
"Well, I was thinking about it. But........." Wade began, only stopping as Logan smacked him around the back of the head.
"Aaaaargh! I swear to god, if you don't get out of my face, Wade Wilson, whatever I did to those assholes tonight, will be nothing to what I'm gonna do to you." (Y/n) hissed, before slamming the door in Wade's face.
"But you kicked ass, (Y/n). It was so cool." Wade called out through the door, a bang from the other side being the only response.
"Talk to her. Was I the only one that saw what she did? Did my breathtakingly beautiful eyes deceive me?" Wade said, as he turned to look at Logan behind him.
"Are you kidding. She still likes me. And given what happened, I think it's best to let her calm down before we try and talk to her about what she did. But I am gonna go and speak to the professor. And if I was you, shit for brains, I would leave (Y/n) alone before she comes out of that room, tears ya head off, and uses it as a bowling ball. Although thinking about it, maybe you should knock again." Logan told him, as Wade slumped down next to (Y/n)'s door. Watching as the big man made his way down to hall to Charles' office.
>>--------------------------------<<
(Y/n) sat on her bed, looking down at her hands. It wasn't that she was angry at Wade, well she was, but it was more that he was a scapegoat for the shock and horror that she felt for what she had been able to do. She had spent so long with Wade practicing with weapons, seeming to suck at everything she touched. Yet tonight, tonight it was as if having the guns and swords in her hands, was the most natural thing in the world. Like killing the idiots that had come after her, was as normal as breathing. And it had shocked her as much as it had obviously shocked the two other mutants with her. She was beginning to understand why Ajax and company had chosen her to mutate. Why someone would have paid to have her as a mindless assassin. But even though she had actually done all that she had done, she still didn't know how.
She looked at the door as a slight noise came from the other side. She knew that Wade was still out there. She knew that she should talk to him, discuss what had happened. That he was probably the only other person that could understand. But she needed to try and understand it herself before she talked to anyone else. She had to try and think. Try and search every last dark corner of her mind to find out why she was able to do all those things. And given how Wade, even at the best of times was like dealing with an overactive toddler that had had more than his fair share of pixie sticks, (Y/n) knew that it was better to wait until she had calmed down.
"(Y/n)." Came a voice through the door. (Y/n) rolling her eyes as she flopped back onto her bed.
"I'm sorry." Came the voice again. (Y/n) sitting bolt upright and staring at the door in disbelief. As Wade actually sounded like an adult for once.
"Do I still get my date?" Wade asked, (Y/n) chuckling to herself and shaking her head before opening the door and scowling at Wade as he fell backwards into her room.
"I only followed you cos I know that big, mean and hairy doesn't deserve you. If you are going to play hide the sausage with anyone, it should be me." Wade said, (Y/n) groaning and returning to sit on her bed. Not surprised that he had already reverted back to normal.
"Wow, Wade. You actually managed to adult, and not make crude innuendos for about two seconds. That must be an all time record." (Y/n) scoffed as Wade came to sit next to her on the bed. Presenting her with his favourite fluffy unicorn. (Y/n) not wanting to know where the spandex clad mercenary had been hiding it. But finding herself hugging it anyway.
"I can see why that fuck monkey, Francis, wanted you. You kick some serious ass, sweetheart." Wade said, as he hesitantly placed his arm around (Y/n) shoulder, hoping that she wouldn't break it off.
"Not now Wade, ok? I just need some time to think about what happened. And don't for one second imagine that I'm not still mad at you." (Y/n) replied, as she gripped the unicorn tighter, and laid her head on his shoulder.
Wade couldn't help but smile under his mask. Not since Vanessa had died, had he been this close to a woman. Well, not one that actually wanted him there anyway. Not since Vanessa had died, had he been so close to someone, without them wanting to get a restraining order out against him. And he had to admit that he liked it. It wasn't that they just had the same mutation that drew Wade to (Y/n). It wasn't just the fact that she was beautiful, intelligent, and deadly that made Wade want to be close to her. It was all of that and more. It was the fact that he didn't feel self-conscious about not wearing his mask when she was around. About how she accepted him for everything he was. Accepted him despite all the stupid stuff he did. How she would laugh at even his dumbest jokes. Still wanted to be around him despite how many times he had offered to let her tie him to the bed and punish him. And he couldn't help but do something he never though he could do again. He couldn't help but love her.
"So, does this mean that I still get my date?" Wade asked, suddenly finding himself pushed to the floor.
"That's it! Out Wilson, before I rip your head off and use it as a jack-o-lantern." (Y/n) huffed as she pushed him to the door, and back out into the corridor.
"And just for that, I'm keeping your unicorn!" (Y/n) declared before slamming the door in his face once again.
>>--------------------------------<<
(Y/n) woke with a start. Her body drenched in sweat and her heart beating so violently that she could swear that at any moment it would burst from her chest. Her mind still filled with the haunting images that had invaded her dreams.
Despite laying in her bed for what felt like hours, holding Wade's unicorn to her chest, hoping that the stuffed animal would help her like it did him. She had still struggled to sleep, the events of the evening going around and around in her mind. Yet when she had eventually been able to close her eyes, her dreams had been bombarded by things that seemed at once so frightening, and yet so familiar. She was in a battle, not just one battle, but a multitude of battles. Bullets whizzing past her head as explosions went off around her. She could see herself with guns, knives. The bodies of people surrounding her as she fought against an onslaught of faceless foes. The images making what she had done that night look like nothing. As she sat there, rocking backwards and forwards, gripping the unicorn tightly to her, all she could think of was one person. She had to find Wade. And she had to find him now. If she was going nuts, no one could help her better than he could.
>>-------------------------------<<
Wade sat in his chair, dressed in his bathrobe. Blowing bubbles from pipe as he drew a picture of himself and (Y/n) surrounded by love hearts, guns and unicorns. A pile of half used and broken crayons laying on the table next to him. Another one breaking in his hand as a sudden pounding at his door almost made him swallow the soapy liquid in his pipe.
"If that's Mister Klean, I'm flattered but you aren't my type. Now if you were James McAvoy, I might change my mind, but as it is, Wolvie is the only man for me. Either him or Spidey. Maybe even Thor. I did always have a thing for long haired blondes." Wade called out, as he got to his feet.
"OPEN THE DOOR YOU GODDAMN IDIOT! AND WHO THE HELL IS JAMES MCAVOY?!" (Y/n) growled through the ingress, Wade skipping over to the door as she pounded on it again.
"Don't worry about James, this is the wrong timeline for him anyway. What you doing here?" Wade replied as he opened the door. (Y/n) flying into his arms and holding him tight.
"Did I miss something? Has the writer been screwing up the stories again?" Wade asked, not really sure if he should care or not, given the fact that whatever had happened it was causing (Y/n) to cling to him like a limpet.
"Wade please. For one minute will you stop talking rubbish. I'm scared, and god help me, you are the only one I want to be near at this moment in time. So, don't fuck it up by saying something dumb." (Y/n) replied, as she gripped to Wade's robe as if she were clinging on for life.
"Can I stay with you? I don't want to be alone. I need to speak to Charles, but I don't want to disturb him. Please, Wade. Please." (Y/n) beseeched. The terrible images still flashing through her mind.
"I've never been begged before. Its kind of a turn on. No, strike that, it's a lot of a turn on." Wade said, instantly regretting it as (Y/n) punched him hard in the chest.
"For once, just once, Wade Wilson, will you not!" (Y/n) almost cried as she dropped onto his bed. Desperately holding back the tears that were threatening to fall.
"Ok, I'm sorry. Ya can stay as long as you want, sweetheart. I promise I'll be on my best behaviour." Wade sighed, as he pulled back the sheets on his bed and helped (Y/n) under the covers.
"I need a hug." (Y/n) mumbled, grabbing hold of Wade's hand as he began to move away.
"Please." The female mutant continued. Wade needing no more invitation to join (Y/n) in the bed.
"Do you always wear your mask, a crop top and booty shorts to bed?" (Y/n) asked, as the mercenary stripped off his robe and joined (Y/n) under the covers.
"Never mind. I don't think I want to know." (Y/n) continued, as she snuggled into Wade's side, feeling completely safe for the first time in a long time.
