I am never gonna hear the last of this - Part 3 - Christmas x Reader

A special request for yoongibbyy who asked if I would do a third part to this imagine. Hopefully, this makes quarantine a little easier for you and anyone else that is couped up inside. Stay safe 😃

A month, a whole damn month! Christmas hadn't heard a word from (Y/n) in a month. Christmas, Trench and Barney had all been concerned when Church had called (Y/n) in for a private meeting, they knew that it wasn't going to end well, that (Y/n) would get dragged into one of the CIA agents crooked schemes; but no matter what any of them had said to try and dissuade her from going, she had insisted. She had told them that this was what she did, she was Delta Force, and she had been on more than one dubious mission in the past, and whatever Church had in mind, she could handle it.

Hours after she had supposed to return from the meeting, both Christmas and Trench had received messages to tell them not to worry, that she loved them, and she would be home when she finished the job, a message that had, despite knowing how well trained she was, filled them with a strange kind of dread.

Barney was annoyed that Church had taken one of his team away without even a word and was even more annoyed that the absence of (Y/n) was having a detrimental effect on his friend, as well as the rest of the team.

Barney and Trench had done all they could to get in contact with Church, but he was dubious in his absence, always seeming to be able to avoid any sort of contact, much to Christmas' chagrin.

Things had been quiet, and Barney was currently in the engine of the plane, covered in oil trying to fix a misfire in one of the plugs as Christmas absentmindedly handed him his tools, when the sound of squealing tyres alerted the pair that something was amiss outside the hangar. As both men rushed outside to see what was happening, their eyes fell on an angry looking Trench and a strangely concerned looking Church.

"Tell them." Trench growled at Church, as the bald headed man looked sheepishly at the two men in front of him. If Christmas wasn't worried before he would be now; he had never seen anyone talk to Church like that before, and he had most certainly never seen Church look like anything other than a self-righteous, smug bastard; but he actually looked anxious, and Christmas knew that it was to do with (Y/n).

"Tell us what?" Christmas shouted, as Barney held him back from going for the agent.

"I was under instructions to send (Y/n) out on a WET operation, she was our best option, she is unknown and perfectly trained for the mission, and I want it understood that I didn't force her to take the job, she took it of her own free will." Church said, desperately trying to cover his own ass.

"What's happened to (Y/n)?" Christmas asked, as he felt his hands squeeze into fists so tight that his knuckles were turning white.

"A month ago (Y/n) was dropped into Chechnya, we had received intel that there is a possible civil war between competing warlords coming, and one, by the name of Vaskha Akhasanov has been in talks with some very dubious people about acquiring specialised weaponry to ensure that his group comes out on top. We, as well as the Russians, need to ensure that we keep a tight rein on these men, and we sent (Y/n) in with instructions that she is to ensure that Akhasanov doesn't get his hands on these weapons, using any means possible to guarantee that." Church said, bringing out a file from the seat of the car.

"(Y/n) went in using the cover of being Akhasanov's nephew's girlfriend; Gregori is desperate to take over from his uncle and will be much easier for us to control, and has offered to help us get a hold in the area if we assist him by taking out his uncle. The mission was going fine until we lost all contact with (Y/n) two days ago." Church told Christmas, as he handed Barney the file.

"So, you are telling me that you sent my wife into one of the most dangerous regions of Russia, without any kind of backup, to kill a warlord, while posing as another man's girlfriend; and now you have no idea what has happened to her?" Christmas asked in disbelief, as Church shrugged his shoulders.

"Pretty much." Church simply said, watching as Barney turned and made for the hangar.

"Where are you going?" Trench called out, as he and Christmas watched him disappear towards the plane.

"I'm gonna go and get our girl. Are you two coming or not?" Barney shouted, as both men looked at one another before bolting after him.

                                                              >>--------------------------------<<

Hours later, and the entire team, as well as Trench, were sat in the back of the plane, as they finally made their way into Russian airspace. Through Church's contacts, the team had managed to get in without being detected by the local authorities and now they just had to bide their time until they located the landing strip which Trench had found for them.

"You do know that if anything has happened to (Y/n), I'm gonna kill Church, don't ya?" Christmas said, as he looked out of the cockpit window, watching as the country below them flew by.

"Yeah I know. You and Trench both." Barney simply replied, as he looked over at Christmas.

"She'll be fine, this is (Y/n) we are talkin about. She is one of us." Barney said, looking at Christmas' concerned face as he turned away from the window.

"I know." Christmas sighed, as an alarm went off in the plane indicating that the landing strip was coming up.

                                                              >>-----------------------------<<

As the boys piled out of the plane, they were greeted by a rebel group that Church had organised to help them get into Akhasanov's compound.

"My name is Captain Ari Amorov, these are my men; we have everything ready that Church said you would need." A man said, as he stepped forward, offering Barney his hand.

"The compound is heavily fortified and guarded, and will be difficult to get into, but not impossible. I already have a number of men inside posing as Akhasanov's men; they will help us get in." Ari said, indicating for the team to follow him to the waiting trucks.

                                                          >>------------------------------------<<

Barney, Christmas, Trench and Ari watched the goings on in the compound as Ari's men readied the equipment along with the rest of the team.

"One of my men says that the lady was fine when he saw her the last time he was in the compound, he said that Akhasanov seemed to have taken quite a liking to her." Ari told the men.

"He has strangely given her access to many areas in the compound that are otherwise shut off to others; I very much wish that I had her as one of my people, she would be very useful." Ari said, as he and the others made their way to join the rest.

"That's my girl." Trench said with a grin, climbing into the driver's seat of an armour plated truck.

"I think you'll find that that's my girl." Christmas protested, jumping up into the back of the truck and readying the M2 Browning machine gun.

As the team rumbled towards the compound, the men behind the walls began to fire, bullets flying past the heads of the boys as they and Ari's men began to fire back, drawing fire as Gunnar took aim at the main gates with the gun of the tank that he and Toll were driving towards the target.

With one round, the gates of the compound blew open, only to be met with explosions coming from inside some of the buildings within.

"How the hell does she always do this?" Christmas shouted to Trench, as he drove the heavy vehicle into the centre of the compound grounds.

"She takes after her pops, what can I say." Trench called out as he grabbed a machine gun, and jumped out of the truck, firing as Akhasanov's men began to run out from the buildings.

"No shit!" Christmas yelled, firing round after round from the M2.

As the rest of the team took out those in the compound, Christmas, Trench and Barney made their way into the buildings looking for the woman they had come to find.

As they rounded a corner, there they saw (Y/n) back to back with a man both of them firing at the men bearing down on them.

"(Y/N)!" Christmas shouted out, as he ran over to her, helping her and the man kill anyone in front of them with a gun.

"Oh, Hi honey." (Y/n) said, quickly reaching up and grabbing one of Christmas' knives, and throwing it at a man rushing towards them.

"Christmas, I'd like you to meet Gregori; Gregori this is my husband, Lee Christmas." (Y/n) said, introducing the two men as the three of them ducked behind a wall.

"Ah, so you are Christmas. You are an incredibly lucky man, (Y/n) is quiet an amazing lady." Gregori said, as he and Christmas watched (Y/n) shoot out from behind the wall, taking out a number of Akhasanov's men before she ducked down against the opposite wall.

"My uncle is dead, the men here are still loyal to him, the men loyal to me are helping your rebels in the compound. Gregori told Christmas, as they joined (Y/n) on the opposite wall.

Christmas and (Y/n) heard Barney and Trench call out, the two big men giving them covering fire, as the trio joined them, rushing back out of the buildings to join the others as they continued to fight.

                                                          >>------------------------------------<<

As Ari's men rounded up the last of Akhasanov's loyal guards, (Y/n) jumped into Christmas' arms.

"Next time you agree to go on some crazy arsed mission from Church, you are never gonna hear the last of it." Christmas told her, as he held her in his arms.

"Anything you say baby, now just take me home." (Y/n) said, as Christmas took her over to greet her father.

As they sat in the plane on the way home, (Y/n) snuggled into her husband's side, for once the rest of the team not teasing the two lovebirds.

(Y/n) couldn't help but chuckle as she looked at her strange family; she didn't care if she never heard the last of this, all that mattered was that she was with Christmas, with her team, and on her way home.
