Harry Hart and the Lady of the Lake - Kingsman x Reader

I thought I'd do a Kingsman imagine, and as it always seems to be Eggsy that gets the love, I thought I'd show the older Galahad some too. Hope its ok and no one is too much OOC 😊

Harry and Eggsy had been called to a meeting with Arthur and Merlin.

"Harry, do ya know what all this is about?" Eggsy asked.

Harry shook his head. "I've no idea Eggsy, all Merlin said was that it was of the utmost importance. There is no point in conjecture, we will know soon enough."

As they make it to the conference room Arthur and Merlin were already waiting.

"Ah good, take a seat gentleman." Arthur gestured for the two men to take a seat at the other end of the table.

"Now gentlemen, have you ever heard of an agent codenamed the Lady of the Lake?" Merlin asked.

Eggsy shrugged. "There's really an agent called that?" Merlin sighed, looking over the top of his glasses at the younger Galahad.

"Well Harry, what about you?" Merlin asked the elder gentleman.

"I only know what I've read in reports. Said to be the best agent Kingsman has ever trained, perfect test scores in all disciplines. Designation given as she is said to hold a key to something called Excalibur. Expert in computers, languages, hand to hand combat, weaponry and tactics." Harry told Merlin.

"Geez, talk about an overachiever." scoffed Eggsy.

Harry stared at him and then back at Merlin. "As far as I know, the only two people that know the true identity of this agent is yourself Merlin, and of course Arthur."

Arthur and Merlin both smiled. "You are of course quite correct on all counts Galahad." Arthur said.

"The Lady has been working off the grid for quite some time now; but with her target now eliminated we need to bring her back into the fold. We thought that you two boys would be perfect to go and retrieve her for us. She's currently under the care of the Statemen and knowing our dear lady she is probably getting on very well with agents Tequila and Whiskey." Arthur said, looking at Merlin and giving him a knowing smirk.

"We wish to ensure that The Lady remains a Kingsman and does not stay on the other side of the pond. The Lady of the Lake is far too important to lose even to the Americans; so, two friendly faces such as yours may just persuade her to return." Merlin said, pushing his glasses back up his nose.

Eggsy smirked. "Well I've got a friendly face; I don't know about Harry's though." Merlin chuckled slightly as Harry shook his head.

"You two leave for the States tomorrow, you better go and get yourselves ready. Oh, and gentlemen, please ensure that you don't come back without our lovely lady won't you." Arthur said as he dismissed the pair.

Merlin followed the men out of the conference room turning to Harry as the door closed. "We need the lady back at all costs, we can't lose her or Excalibur; so please Harry, try and be nice when you meet her again, please." Merlin said patting Harry on the shoulder and returning to the conference room.

Eggsy stared at Harry. "I thought you said only Merlin and Arthur knew the identity of the lady?"

"They do Eggsy." Harry said as he started walking away, with Eggsy quickly catching up with him.

"Well it doesn't sound like that; sounds like you know this lady very well and had a beef with them. Know anyone like that Harry?" Eggsy asked a quiet chuckle evident in his voice.

Harry stopped in his tracks nearly causing Eggsy to barrel into him; Harry's mind raced, thinking back over all the years he had been a Kingsman. He normally got on well with all the other agents, even though he was usually reserved and kept pretty much to himself, it would be unprofessional to have disagreements with his co-workers. Then his eyes grew wide suddenly remembering a lost face, a lost name, he shook his head.

"No, that's impossible!"

"What's impossible?" Eggsy asked, growing slightly concerned about the look on his mentor's face.

"It doesn't matter, she's dead anyway." Harry muttered, before quickly walking away.

Eggsy ran up behind the older man, grabbing on his arm and turning him around.

"Harry, what the hell? Will you stop being so damn cryptic and tell me what the hell your thinking."

Harry let out a deep sigh. "Her name was (y/n), (y/n) (y/l/n); otherwise known as agent Morgana. She was much younger than myself when she was brought into Kingman; she was an exceptional agent, but she and I had a difficult relationship. Our disagreements were legendary; but when we weren't at one another's throats we always worked side by side, some even joked that we were like an old married couple. One day we were on a mission that went south quickly, I came out unscathed but she....... well she didn't come out at all. The funeral was an empty casket; and I never got chance to tell her that................ Well it doesn't matter now."

Eggsy looked at his friend in shock. "You loved her, didn't you?"

Harry shrugged. "It was a long time ago Eggsy and we have more important things to think about now; we have to retrieve the Lady and her Excalibur."

                                                         >>------------------------------------<<

As the jet touched down, Harry and Eggsy made their way out to be greeted by an amused Ginger.

"Harry, Eggsy, it's so nice to see you again; so, they sent you to come and retrieve the lady, did they?" Ginger asked with a chuckle.

"Tequila and Whiskey won't be happy that you are here to take her away; the boys have taken quite a liking to her."

Harry rolled his eyes and Eggsy let out a quiet chuckle. "I think I like the sound of this lady more and more." he said.

Walking through the halls of the Statesmen HQ, Ginger and the Galahads heard the sounds of laughter ringing out, Ginger smirked. "That will be the lady and the boys."

Making their way to a room with a large window looking out onto the surrounds of the HQ; there, on a spacious sofa sat three figures, two, the Galahads recognised as Tequila and Whiskey; the third, a woman sat between the two men. The sound of her giggling happily at the jokes of the two Statesmen, seemed familiar to Harry but he instantly brushed it off. Ginger coughed causing the two agents to turn and look at the two Kingsman.

"Agent Tequila, Agent Whiskey, it's nice to see you again." said Harry addressing the two.

The two cowboys glared and jumped up from the sofa. "Oh no, no, no, no, I don't think so, you boys ain't taking that beautiful lady anywhere." Whiskey stated firmly, crossing his arms over his chest.

The lady in question said nothing but giggled softly.

"For once I agree with Whiskey, you boys ain't taking her anywhere. That little lady is staying Stateside." Tequila said mimicking his cohort's stance.

Harry stepped forward. "Why don't we let the lady decide, gentlemen."

Harry sidestepped the indignant agents moving closer to the sofa on which the woman sat, with Eggsy, Whiskey and Tequila following close behind.

"Hey pretty lady, will you please tell these suit wearing limeys that you are staying here?" Whiskey asked the woman.

All four men watched as the woman rose from the sofa, her long silver hair falling down her back. She turned around to face them. "My, my, my, of all the people Arthur and Merlin send, they have to send you." She said looking straight into the eyes of the elder Galahad, one green eye and one blue eye focusing intently on him.

Harry stumbled forward, leaning onto the large sofa for support.

"B...but you're, you're dead, you died!" He gasped out as he stared into a face he once knew.

She moved over and took Whiskey and Tequila by the arm.

"No, you mean you left me for dead, while you saved your own neck Galahad, there's a difference."

"Now gentlemen." She said addressing the two Statesmen. "Shall we discuss my new designation with Champagne?"

As the three left, Eggsy looked at Harry. "Was that....?"

Harry nodded. "She blames me!" He said, dropping onto the sofa, his head falling into his hands.

Eggsy sat next to him putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"We have to do something Harry, we have to persuade her to come back."

Harry shook his head. "I know her too well, she's stubborn. We have to contact Merlin and let him know what has happened."

                                                                >>-------------------------------<<

Harry was far from amused as he adjusted his glasses ready to contact Merlin.

"Oh, hello Harry, how goes things with our lovely Lady?" Merlin asked.

"Why did you send me Merlin? You knew it was her, everyone let me believe that she was dead. Why did you send me?" Harry's usual cool calm exterior was gone, replaced by uncharacteristic emotion.

Merlin pushed his glasses further up his nose. "We sent you for a reason Harry, agent Morgana did die that day; when she was brought back, well let's just say we had to go through a lot to bring her back, and when we did we renamed her the Lady. You obviously saw the physical changes that she went through from the treatment she received?"

Harry nodded. "Yes, I noticed the Heterochromia iridum, and the silver hair."

"We sent you because we know how you felt about Morgana, we hoped that she still felt the same about you as she used to." Merlin said quietly.

Harry's eyes widened. "What do you mean, how she felt for me?"

Merlin rubbed his temples. "(Y/n) went with you on that last mission because she had a nightmare that you died; she begged Arthur to send her with you so that she could protect you, she died saving you Harry."

Harry sighed. "She blames me for letting her die, she said it was my fault, that I saved my own neck."

"She hasn't seen you in six years Harry, and the last time she did see you she died. Be patient, you know how stubborn she is; just put on the old Galahad charm." Merlin said, trying to reassure Harry.

"Well at this point in time, I think I've got more chance of charming her than Harry has." Eggsy noted with a huff.

"She's got Whiskey and Tequila all over her like a rash, their attached at the hip; she was even going to talk to Champagne about joining the Statesmen." Eggsy added.

Merlin chuckled. "Aye, that sounds like our Lady. Now Harry's there she'll do it all the more, she always did like to make him jealous."

Harry huffed. "I do not get jealous."

Merlin laughed. "Oh yeah? I remember that time Bedivere asked her out and she said yes; needless to say, the date was cancelled very quickly when someone threatened to cut off one of his appendages."

Eggsy looked at Harry, a huge grin crawled across his lips. "Harry, you didn't?"

Harry coughed uncomfortable. "No, I merely mentioned that it would be in his best interests to stay away from her if he wanted to ensure that he remained intact."

Eggsy started to laugh. "Oh, you and me have to have a real good conversation when we get back Merlin, you have to tell me everything."

Merlin chuckled. "Look Harry, Arthur and I both know you can get her to come back, just talk to her, make here see that life back with the Kingsman would offer her more than the Statesmen ever could. Just be you Harry."

                                                          >>---------------------------------------<<

The Kingsman had been in the States for days now, and every attempt at getting close to the lady was thwarted by either Tequila, Whiskey, or both, and at one point even Champagne had joined in.

Harry was finding it more and more difficult watching as the two cowboys fawned over (Y/n), meaning Eggsy found himself the one trying to get between the two American agents and the lady.

"Harry, we have to do something." Eggsy told him as they sat together in Harry's room.

"I've tried everything I can to get to talk to her, and she just ain't interested. You have to do it Harry, you are the only one that stands a chance of getting her to come back, that's why Arthur and Merlin sent you. For god's sake Harry, for once just drop the stiff upper lip, English gentleman thing and tell her how you feel. You've mooned around for days like a lovesick teenager, pinning for her from a far; that's not the Harry I know. Just tell her you love her and let's go home."

Harry looked over at the young man, he knew he was right, this wasn't him and he had to do something. Despite all the years that had passed he had never forgotten about her, and any woman that had come up since was instantly compared to her, and all of them had been found wanting. Now she was here, and he found himself incapable of telling her how he felt, his reserved nature was preventing him from having what he wanted, and what he wanted was a chance to be happy and not have to spend the rest of his life alone.

Rising from the sofa, Harry took off his suit jacket and tie, unbuttoning the top two buttons on his shirt, and made his way to the door of his room.

"Harry! Where ya going?" Eggsy called out after him.

"What I should have done years ago Eggsy. I'm going to get my lady."

After a few moments he found himself outside of her door, taking a deep breath, Harry knocked.

"Whiskey, I told you that............Oh it's you, what do you want Harry?" (Y/n) said as she opened the door. Her smile suddenly turning to a scowl when she saw him.

"We need to talk (Y/n) and I'm not leaving until we do." Harry said looking at the woman before him, a new determination in his eyes.

With a sigh she pushed open the door, letting him into her room.

"What do you want to talk about Harry?" (Y/n) asked as Harry sat down on the sofa.

"I want to talk about you coming home. I want to talk about what happened to you; and I want you to tell my why both the Kingsman and the Statesman want you so badly." Harry said as he watched (Y/n) walk over to the window, to look out into the night sky.

After a few moments silence, (Y/n)'s fingers slowly moved to the silver sword that hung around her neck on a chain. Taking it off she walked over to Harry showing him the charm, before pulling it in two, to reveal a flash drive.

"My little Excalibur here can instantly disable any weapons system anywhere in the world, with just a few clicks of the right buttons; but the sword is nothing without its lady. I am the only one who knows which buttons to press." She said sitting down on the sofa next to Harry.

"The mission I finished before I came here lasted for five years Harry; the target, well I had to....... I had to form a relationship with him to ensure we got the information that we needed."

Harry looked at her, taking her hands into his. "What do you mean relationship?"

She stood up and began pacing the floor.

"I had to.... well....... I had to marry him Harry, and everything that went with it. I didn't love him, I never loved him; but there was nothing left for me at Kingsman. When Arthur told me that you believed I was dead and offered me the mission I took it, knowing that I didn't want to ruin your life by suddenly turning up again after being dead for a year. I always knew what being a Kingsman agent meant to you; so, Morgana died, and the Lady was born."

Harry stood up, stopping the lady in her path, his hands resting on her hips.

"Tell me (Y/n), tell me what happened."

She took a deep breath in, slowly shaking her head not wanting to tell him of her life for the years they had been apart. Harry pulled her into him, her head resting on his chest.

"Please (Y/n), tell me."

Reluctantly she spoke. "Samuel Weeks worked for the American and British governments designing computer and weapons systems for the military; unknown to either government he was putting his own system in place ensuring that if anything happened, he would have control of his technology. Everything was fine until a certain government agency took it upon themselves to try and eliminate him; he took the information with him to the grave shall we say. Unfortunately for them they didn't kill him, and he went into hiding and developed his system independently and expanded it exponentially. Kingsman sent me in as his assistant, I spent the next years making myself indispensable, until he trusted only me, and I was the only other person that knew the codes. Once I knew those it was time to eliminate him, and then I found myself here. Now you know why both sides want me so much; I of course have made my own contingency plans just in case anyone gets any ideas about eliminating me, so it is safer to have me alive than dead."

Harry could feel her warm tears soak into his crisp white shirt. "Not a day has gone by that I didn't think of you Harry, not a day went by that I didn't want to give it all up and come back to you, to tell you that I was safe, and alive, and that I loved you."

Harry gently placed his hand under her chin, pulling up her head so that he could gaze into her beautiful eyes.

"You love me, even after all these years, you still feel the same?" Harry asked, as he watched the tears roll down her cheeks.

She nodded. "Yes Harry, I know that it is stupid as you never felt the same, but I love you, and I always have."

Harry's heart felt as though it was about to burst, and for once the usually eloquent Englishman was lost for words. The woman he had loved for so many years loved him, and for once Harry decided that actions spoke louder than words. Leaning down, he pressed his lips to hers; the feeling was so natural, so perfect, that he never wanted it to end, and he was determined that it wouldn't.

"(Y/n) I love you. Come home with me, I don't care if you don't want to return to Kingsman, just be with me." Harry said, as the two broke their kiss.

(Y/n) couldn't help but smile. "The Lady of the Lake may need her Arthur and Merlin, but I....... I just need my Galahad. Take me home Harry, just take me home." (Y/n) said as she pulled him in for another kiss.

Six years apart may have been a long time, but for the Lady and her Galahad, life was just about to begin.
