War, Death, Destruction. Three things I remember before I fell into a deep sleep.

So many people were suffering and I couldn't do anything about it because the king told me to protect and stay with the princess. I wanted to badly go out there, and save everyone but it was too late. I was frozen in a pod with the Princess and her assistant.

That was the last thing I remember before I woke up. I stood there right after the pod window disintegrated waiting for them to come back. For the King to tell me the war was over and we won but it never happened. Instead, I was met with several pairs of eyes staring at me.

"Stay back! Where are the King and Princess?" I shouted, reaching for my sword, only to find it wasn't there anymore.

"Y/n, It's ok I'm here." Princess Allura reassured me, giving me a hug in the process.

"Where are the others? The king? The paladins? They survived didn't they?" I questioned, hoping everyone was fine.

"T-They didn't live. We've been asleep for 10,000 years and Zarkon has control over most of the universe." Coran answered sadly.

They are all gone. I couldn't do anything to help. Zarkon controls most of the universe? And who are these people here?

"Two more questions. Who are they?" You gestured to the five people on the other side of the room, "And what happened to Voltron and the lions?"

"The names Lance." Said the Cuban boy as he winked at me, earning a punch to the gut from a guy with a mullet.

"These are the new paladins of Voltron. Shiro the black lion paladin, Pidge the green lion paladin, Hunk the yellow lion paladin, Keith the red lion paladin and finally Lance the blue lion's new paladin." Coran introduced. Four small mice climbed onto my shoulders and head as I let out a small giggle.

'So this is the guy I'm gonna be working with?' I thought, wondering if he was like this all the time.
