"๐•ฐlizabeth!" Orkos shouted worriedly as he ran over to her, prehending her and turning her over, to optically discern her emotionless expression, her eyes shut, she looked very pale, virtually as pale as he was and she appeared to be very impotent and thin.

"No no no! Elizabeth, I'm so sorry!" Orkos said prehending her body and pulling it into an embrace, as he intertwined his fingers through her hair, holding her head proximate to his chest, "I didn't want to let you down, I very sorry I was too scared to be around you knowing that it was to dangerous and that you deserved a better life, I promise I had no intentions of letting you die. I'm just so so sorry. I never cared for someone as much as you and you were the only person who ever cared about me and I should've admitted it before but I love you so much, I was afraid to admit it but it doesn't matter now... please Elizabeth... come back to me." He spoke quietly, holding her proximate to him.

The room was quiet, until Elizabeth wrapped her arm around Orkos, embracing him back as she tiredly opened up her dull blue eyes, "I knew you'd come back." She gave him a small weak smile as she looked up at him. "And I love you too." She integrated as she noticed his expression didn't transmute from how upset he was, blissful that she was alive but still pretty upset at himself.

"Why are you sad? I forgive you. I knew you didn't mean to do what you did, it's alright." She explained to him, forgiving him, she already did a long time ago, she just never had the chance to tell him.

Orkos didn't speak a single word, still lost in his own head and just pulled her more proximate to him, feeling like he never wanted to let go.

After breaking the silence and holding a small and very awkward conversation in the dark space of the library, Orkos was able to go out and get some food, he had to steal it from the market of course but that didn't really matter to him. It did take a while to get Elizabeth back into proper health but after a couple of days, she seemed to be back to her vigorous and ecstatic self once again.

Their life went back to how it use to but of course since they didn't have the money, it was now Orkos' job to pay visits to the market and take from them, even though Elizabeth was still unsettled by the conception, but what else could they do, she still had to eat food and all.

Five Years Later...

One evening in the woods, Elizabeth was admiring the beauty of this red flower bed while Orkos sat adjacent to her as he observed her picking a few flowers, creating a small bouquet in her hands before placing one behind Orkos' ear.

She giggled, "Wow, you look very pretty Orkos." She commented, putting more into his hair. He smiled back at her, tilting his head to the side, "Uh, thanks?" He awkwardly expressed, afore receiving a small kiss on the side of his cheek from Elizabeth, "Don't mention it." She replied, setting one in her own hair.

After a couple of minutes of contemplating to herself, excitedly taking Orkos by the hands prior to setting down the rest of the flowers she had in her hand aside, "Hey, how about we get married?" She asked him, "Married? oh it's one of those weird human celebrations, I remember reading that back at the library." Orkos mentioned. "They're not weird silly. They can be some of the most memorable events in the entire world, there's dresses, music and cake! You can't go wrong with a wedding and it even basically officialize everything when it comes to our love. I mean, we've been courting for like, five years already." She explained to him before continuing, "I mean, I've never dreamt about anything too fancy, probably could never afford it in the long run but I just thought it could simply be you and I, vows and rings that should do the trick."

Orkos enjoyed her excitement about the whole, still odd concept, "Well, If it's something you really want to do, I don't see anything wrong with it. It doesn't hurt to try, and I'm sure I can borrow a couple of things fitting for the wedding."

She shoved him jestingly before speaking, "You know that you don't have to hide the fact that you're planning on stealing."

"Stealing? Who mentioned anything about stealing?" He playful rolled his eyes.

Two Days Later...

Orkos and Elizabeth did have their small wedding, there were a plenty of mess ups on the way since it was only the two of them, Elizabeth generally did think of inviting her family but they would've only made things even worse, still she did hope that they would be there on her special day when she ever did get married. Yet she felt like a bride either way anyways, Orkos was able to get her a dress, nothing authentically fancy for him to wear but she didn't care, she was simply thankful for his efforts of putting this celebration all together.

The beautiful rings were placed onto each other's fingers, vows were said, Orkos wasn't genuinely good with saying how he felt and tripped up every few seconds yet he did made it through until it was conclusively time to kiss the bride.

It was a magical day for Elizabeth and for Orkos, just being married to him made it all worth it. The next step in their lives was moving out of that library of theirs and finding an actual house where Orkos was agreeing to live in a town filled with other townsfolk just to bring back the normality into Elizabeth's life once again instead of remaining isolated, alone together in the middle of nowhere.

After Orkos went to borrow a couple of denarius from the castle grounds of a nearby kingdom, the two were able to by a home that they could now afford with all the currency they had available to them. It seemed very cozy and life couldn't get anymore better for the two.

Orkos did have to sneak out of his own home from time to time, just so he didn't have to cause any disruption to neighbouring homes and crying children who may be unhappy of his presence in the town but he didn't care. Elizabeth did hope that everyone else would be more excepting to her husband like she was but that was simply just human nature, nobody wanted to understand the so called evil in this world.

Everything just seemed to be flying by really fast for the two, recently wedded, bought an home together, it was very diligent for them that's for sure, but after all the commotion, Elizabeth just wanted to have a bonding day with Orkos and she knew the perfect way to spend it.

She was in the kitchen when Orkos came down from upstairs, whatever he was doing up their, he didn't seem to tell Elizabeth but she just thought he was resting or something like that.

"What are you doing?" Orkos asked curiously when Elizabeth seemed to have an assortment of baking ingredients in front of her, from eggs to flour all to her disposal.

"Well, I did promise you that I'd teach you how to bake when we first met and we seemed to never get to it so I through why not now when we have a kitchen all to ourselves without anyone intruding." She explained with a content grin upon her face.

He chuckled going up to her and wrapping his arms around her waist, resting his head upon her shoulder, "That was a long time ago wasn't it? I suppose it wouldn't hurt to learn a few things." He mentioned giving her an quick peck on the lips as she turned her head to see him.

"Of course, come on now, let's get started." She said suddenly as Orkos pulled away from her, standing at her side. They spent the day cooking and taking breaks by heading outside to stroll through the nearby forest like they always enjoyed doing and then after a load of hard work by the end of the day, Elizabeth was able to teach Orkos how to make two kinds of bread and even a batch of a dozen cupcakes.

"This was nice." Orkos said as Elizabeth stuffed a cupcake into her mouth, "It really was wasn't it." She mumbled over the cupcake.

Elizabeth looked at him for a moment before a small smile appeared on her face, "Thank you Orkos, for everything. I know I haven't said it much but I'm really thankful for everything that you've given me. You're really the best thing that's every happened to me and I really mean it." She explained to him as he stared back at her astonished by her sweet words, "Trust me, I swear I'm the most luckiest person to ever walk this earth, so forget me, you're ten times better then I'll ever be." He stated as he grabbed a cupcake from the plate and began unwrapping the paper around in before taking a bite into it.

"That's so not true and I couldn't even imagine ever forgetting you." She said before letting out a yawn as it was getting late causing Orkos to chuckle slightly, "Tired?" He asked standing up from his seat at the table, still snacking on the cupcake as he pushed in his chair.

"Yeah kinda." She stated as she did the same and began putting away the food on the table.

"Well, get some rest alright, tomorrow awaits us, we'll figure out something to do, don't worry. Boredom is something we won't be experiencing for a while now." He said wrapping his arm around her shoulder, kissing her on the side of the cheek, "Goodnight. I'll see you in the morning." He mentioned, pulling away from her afterwards as he exited out of the front door. "Night night." She called out to him quietly as he left into the night.

That was something she never really liked him doing, she didn't want to ask him what he was doing so late outside at night when she was asleep, thinking that it really wasn't any of her business, she'd simply let it slide, she knew that if there was something he wanted to inform her of, he would. But for now, his secrets were always kept to himself.

Elizabeth cleaned up the kitchen then made her way through the emptiness of the house and up the stairs, leading to her bedroom where she changed and got ready to go to bed. Nights were so lonely, due to the fact that Orkos never slept due to the fact that he was a demon and necessarily didn't need any, he was always gone from home. She laid awake in bed for a couple of minutes, staring up at the wooden roof until finally letting the night consume her, drifting off into a state of slumber.

Orkos was out late in the woods as he approached a clearing where five large trees stood around it, as he entered the centre of this whole set up, the ends of the trees glowed with a familiar white flame as he pulled out an also very familiar book out from underneath one of the trees thick roots on the ground. He calmly opened up to a random page where several were already ripped out and slowly regenerating as he ripped out another one, placing the book back into its little hiding spot.

The demon crumpled up the piece of paper in his hands, setting the page on fire with his hand as the ashes coming off it hit the ground, slowly forming a dark hole beneath him of swirling ashes, "Even though my desire of love has been fulfilled, the satisfaction of happiness is never enough. She never said I couldn't have both, so power, your only a few moments away, I'm sure of it." He said to himself as a smirk grew on his face, before falling into the depths of the dark hole beneath him, instantly closing up as he entered through.
