•Kacey's POV•
"George?"

"Kacey?" He asked shocked. "George!" Ma exclaimed. She went over and pulled him into a hug.

George and I were still in shock. "What is George doing here?" I snapped. "What is Kacey doing here?" George snapped back.

"Kacey, George, you guys are cousins," Ma said.

I looked over at George and our eyes met. George smirked and said, "Wonderful."

Oh, this was going to be great. Note the sarcasm.

"You're messing with me right?" I asked.

"No, Kacey. I'm being serious," Ma explained. "But George is awful. He has tried to kill me by running me over! He even threatened to kill my family and my babies!" I yelled.

"Kacey, quit blaming your cousin. He is wonderful and would never hurt a fly," Ma exclaimed.

"Josie, he is awful," I said. "Ow, that hurt," George said. "Don't call me Josie! I am your mother! Now I think you should leave! You are disrupting this family and are blaming your cousin for your own nonsense!" Ma yelled.

"Fine, I didn't want to be here anyway. By the way you aren't my mother and this isn't my family," I said. Ma's face grew red but I ignored it.

I grabbed Lucas's hand and we walked out of the house. I don't care what happens, this isn't my family.

George isn't my cousin and this is all just a bad dream. I'm going to wake up and everything will be fine. My phone started to ring and it said 'Incoming Call from Ma.' I ignored it and threw my phone to the side.

Ugh this is complicated. I started driving away and Lucas went the other way because he had to go back to work. I felt a kick and frowned.

George is going to be closer to me now that we are 'family.' He was going to get closer to my babies. I'm not going to let that happen.

I felt another kick and looked down quickly. That was a powerful kick, what's going on?

I looked up and screamed. Then, everything went black.

•Lucas's POV•
I drove back to work and started worrying about Kacey. Her family is just so mean to her and now George is her cousin! This isn't going to turn out well.

I started to get to work when my phone rang. I picked it up and answered.

"Hello?" I asked. "Yes, is this Lucas Johnson?" A voice asked. "Yeah," I said. "This is the hospital, your wife has been in a car accident. She was hit by a drunk driver," the voice said.

"Ok, thank you. I am on my way," I said quickly. I hung up the phone and felt tears in my eyes.

Kacey was hurt. Maybe even my babies.

Oh gosh, please let them be ok.

I told my boss I had to leave and go to the hospital. He understood and I left quickly. I got to the hospital in 20 minutes.

I ran up to the front desk. "I'm here to see Kacey Johnson," I said to the lady. "Are you related?" The lady said. "I'm her husband," I said angrily. I need to get back there and see Kacey.

"She's in room 307," the lady said. "Thank you," I said as I ran to Kacey's room. I walked in and saw Kacey sitting in a bed.

She was unconscious and had tubes everywhere. She looked so pale and frail. I saw a doctor with her and they were checking her stomach on the screen.

I ran up and asked, "Are my babies ok? How is Kacey?" "Your babies seem to be fine, as for Kacey she should be waking up soon. She had to go into surgery but before she did she was mumbling something. Lucas? I think. But she stopped and went to sleep. She should be waking up any moment now," the doctor said.

"Ok, thank you," I said. The doctor nodded and left the room. I called Kacey's parents, Jen and Colin, not Ma and Pa. They said they would be there soon and I sat down. I started crying as I watched Kacey. I put my head in my hands and started crying harder.

I heard a moan and I looked up. Kacey was waking up. I wiped away my refs and watched her. Her eyes opened and she sat up. She looked around and her eyes landed on me.

"Kacey!" I exclaimed. I went over to give her a hug but she flinched away.

She looked up at me with blank eyes and said, "I'm sorry, but who are you?"
