"Well, your father and I were very young when we had you. When I had you I tried to keep you. I still had school so every day I would drop you off at my moms house and then come back and get you later. After a while, things just got harder," she began.

"I would have piles of homework, you would be wanting attention, and your father would be busy with sports and homework,"

"Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. I tried to give you to one of our family members so that hopefully I would still be able to see you,"

"Sadly, everyone I asked said that they couldn't. That's why I put you up for adoption and this lady and her husband took you,"

"Everyday, I think about how bad of a decision I made. I should have kept you, tried to push through it. When I started looking for you I couldn't find you anywhere,"

"After a while, I got pregnant with your brother Matt. We had him and had to take a break from finding you,"

"Eventually we decided to go from each house that you went to and track you. The last house said that you went to an orphanage so we went there and asked to see you,"

"Someone said that you had been adopted long, long ago. I asked who adopted you and then contacted them when I got the info,"

"I then found Jen and she told me about how you were living with your husband and I told her I wanted to talk to you. She said she would call you and then, after a week, she gave me your address and I came here," she finished.

I felt tears in my eyes. "Now, can you tell me what happened to you?" Ma asked.

"After you abandoned me, I went to my first foster home. The lady was nice but after she died, her husband became abusive,"

"The houses after that were abusive. I would work all day and get abused at night. Finally, in my tenth house, there were these people who would beat me with a ruler and their boy would pick on me,"

"They gave me to an orphanage and I met Lottie. I was adopted by Jen and I loved my life. I grew up with some difficulties including being hit by a car. I met Lucas and we became good friends and then started to like each other,"

"Now, I am married to Lucas and have a set of twins on the way," I told them.

Matt looked at me with wide eyes, "I'm going to be an uncle?" I laughed and nodded my head.

He smiled and asked if he could feel them kick. I gave him permission and his eyes widened when he felt the kick. He thanked me and I noticed Ma with tears in her eyes.

"What?" I asked. "I never got to watch you grow up, or walk down the aisle," she cried.

"It's fine, at least you are here now and you will have grandchildren soon," I told her.

She nodded and I hugged her. I hugged Pa too and gave Matt a hug. I finally have my real family.

But, it's not complete. I thought about mom and dad (Colin and Jen) and how they have been there for me.

"Just know, this doesn't change anything," I started. "Jen and Colin are still my parents and Lucy and the rest of my brothers/sisters are my family. You can't change that," I said.

Ma and Pa nodded their heads.

I smiled and thought. For once my family was complete.
