"Don't you know that it's not safe to be alone here during night time?" Abhi asked sternly.
"I got stuck in my workplace."
"How would you suppose to go?"
"Usually, my friend would drop me. As today she went early, I want to go alone." Abhi signed hearing Pragya. Taking a deep breath, he looked at Abhi, who was looking at him nervously.
"Let me drop you in your home."
"It's ok. I will go by myself."
"What if he comes again after I went? Can you save yourself from him?" Abhi asked sternly. "Don't hesitate. You will be safe with me." Pragya hesitatingly nodded and went with him.
Abhi stopped the car in front of Pragya's house, whereas she got down. "Thank you," Pragya said.
"Let me leave." Abhi was about to go but stopped hearing Pragya's voice.
"Can you please come to my home and have a coffee?"
"It's ok."
"It's a request. Please don't hesitate." Abhi gave a blank reaction. He signed and got down from the car. "Thank you."
"After you," Abhi said, showing his hand, telling her to move forward. Pragya nodded and started to walk.
Sarla opened the door, hearing the calling bell sound. She got surprised, seeing a stranger with Pragya. "Ma, this is DCP, Abhishek."
"Namaste ma," Abhi said, folding his hands.
"Namaste... Please, come in." Abhi entered into the home, whereas Sarla made him sit on the sofa. "I will bring something to drink," Sarla said and went to the kitchen, whereas Pragya stood there.
"Thank you so much for everything."
"Mm... Can I know who is he?"
"Aah... He is my husband's brother." Pragya said hesitatingly.
"Oh...Where is your husband?" Pragya's heartfelt a pinch of pain, hearing his question.
Controlling her emotions, Pragya answered, "He passed away two years ago." Abhi felt bad, hearing her. The surrounding became awkward silent. Sarla brought the coffee, whereas Abhi drank it without speaking anything further.
After drinking the coffee, he got ready to move. "Let me take a leave ma." Before he was going, he turned and looked at Pragya. "If he troubles you again, better complain about it in the nearby police station. And avoid going alone in night times." Abhi said whereas Pragya nodded in acceptance.
Abhi went from there, whereas Sarla looked at Pragya with question face.
Abhi was sitting in the bar, drinking. "One more," Abhi asked, keeping the glass on the table.
"Enough for today." Abhi heard a familiar voice. He turned and looked at his friend Ravi standing there.
"It's not enough. Waiter, one more." The waiter looked at Ravi, who gestured him to go from there.
Signing, Ravi sat next to Abhi. "Abhi..."
"I know what you are going to say. Yes, I'm a failure, Ravi." Abhi said in a drunken state.
"No, you are not."
"Yes, I'm. Life sucks man... I hate to be like this." Abhi said with tears.
"Try to move one."
"Can't you see that I'm trying," Abhi said in a high tone. "But I can't... Because my life has got over... And I know who is the reason for all this. Maya's favourite... That god." Abhi said, pointing up. "He is the one who snatched everything. My happiness, my life, my Maya.... My seven months baby." Abhi said, bursting into tears. "And here, I'm trying to move on. How can I move when there is nothing in my life to move on."
Ravi felt bad for Abhi. "I can understand you, buddy. But do you think we are happy with you being like this? Man... Life is filled with ups and downs. You have to cross everything. But you have stuck in the same moment, and you are not coming out of it."
"I'm dead when she was dead, Ravi... I'm living in this fucking world only because I want to prove him..." Abhi said, pointing the top. "I want to prove to him that I'm not afraid of the dead. He is the one who made my life miserable, and I hate him for that."
"Thank god Pragya, you are safe," Sarla said with a relief sign. "I know well about him, and it's not safe for you to be here when he is around you," Sarla said with tension.
"Relax ma. He doesn't know about our place still now. And if you are this much tensed about him, then let me do something."
"What?"
"If you don't mind..." Pragya started hesitatingly. "Shall I give police complain about him?"
"Best idea. Better do it." Sarla said whereas Pragya nodded. "We have to thank that police officer. If he didn't come at the right time, I can't even imagine what would have happened." Sarla said whereas Pragya went into thinking about Abhi.
"Ok ma, let me go and sleep."
"Ok Pragya." Sarla said, whereas Pragya went from there.
Next Morning
Abhi squeezed his eyes and opened it with much difficulty. He got up and held his head due to massive pain. "Good Morning, Buddy." Ravi entered into the room with two coffee cups in his hands.
"Have I drunk a lot?" Abhi asked, holding his head. "My head is bursting."
"A lot ..." Ravi said, handing over the coffee cup. Abhi took a sip and checked his surrounding.
"I'm in your home?" Abhi asked confusingly.
"Unfortunately, yes," Ravi said, drinking the coffee. "Fresh up and come, Abhi. We have to discuss something."
After freshening up, Abhi came to the study room of Ravi. "What's the matter?" Abhi asked, settling on his seat, whereas Ravi gave a file to him. "What is this?"
"The new case which we are going to handle. Commission especially recommended you to handle this case. It's a very important and sensitive case."
"Hm... What is there in this?" Abhi asked, flipping the pages.
"Have you heard about ORGAN TRADE?" Ravi asked, whereas Abhi's kept the file aside and looked at Ravi.
"I have never heard about organ trade."
"Are you interested in this case?"
"I'm hearing."
"Good. This is also something like organ donation. But, organ donation is legal, whereas this is illegal."
"Matlab?"
"In Organ Trade, people's organs are being stolen from them, and it has been sold... Just look at page seven." Abhi flipped to page seven and saw a young girl's photo. "Her name is Sheela. She ran from her home to get married to her lover. After three months, her dead body has been found in a decomposed situation..." Abhi became shocked as well as serious, hearing Ravi. "When her body has been sent to the Forensic report, they found that her body parts have been missing. It has been stolen, and when they investigated about her boyfriend, he also has been killed and the same situation. His organs have also been stolen." Ravi finished.
"Is this the only case?" Abhi asked.
"No, there are hundreds of cases like this."
"You are kidding me? How it has not been noticed?" Abhi asked, angrily.
"That's the matter. Department still doesn't know how this is happening. And still now know one knows how people are missing. There are no reports about that girl being missing. They are selectively choosing people so that no one would get doubt on them."
"Hm..." Abhi hummed, engrossed in thoughts.
"Abhi?"
"Hm..."
"Are you in?" Ravi asked whereas Abhi was thinking for some time. "It's a risky one."
"I'm In..."
After sometime
Pragya and Gauri were going to the centre. Pragya's eyes strike Police station. "Gauri stop." Gauri stops the scooty, hearing Pragya's voice.
"What happened Pragya?"
"Let me go to the police station. You go to the centre." Pragya said, getting down from the bike.
"Let me also park and come," Gauri said, and was about to get down from the bike, but Pragya stopped her.
"No... It's already time to open the centre. People would be waiting for us."
"Ok, I'm going. Take care."
"I will be back," Pragya said, whereas Gauri smiled and went from there.
Abhi was sitting inside the police station, looking at the files, whereas Pragya entered into the police station.
