The Letter

August 13, 2017, 6:50 ET

My fellow Americans,
Doubtless we've all heard about what happened in Charlottesville, VA over these past two days. Doubtless we've all heard about the passing of Heather Heyer or at least heard that a woman was killed by a potentially white supremacist who drove his car into the counter protesters and injured 19.
This unfortunate incident has been all over the news lately, from condolences to Ms. Heyer's family to accusations that the President is not taking this as seriously as to be accepted.
I am only a person, one of many and I don't even live close to Charlottesville let alone Virginia and the only connection that I have to the University of Virginia is loving the Hamilton version of its illustrious founder, Thomas Jefferson.
I do not agree with anything the protesters think, say, or believe. I am not a Klansmen or Neo-Nazi. I am not a white supremacist. This is a mess that could have been avoided if the Europeans who came to the Americas hadn't been such idiots. This mess could have been avoided DECADES ago.
It bugs me that we are still rehashing this. The Nazis were a once and done(at least on that scale) kind of party and we literally fought a war for equality. And as for the Neo-Nazi thing, see World War 2, and how it left Germany devastated after the war.
I'm not saying you can't protest, I myself am using the first Amendment to write this letter, it's just, why? Why do you believe you are better, that a Caucasian Christian male is of more importance than a African American female? WE are the invaders. The Native Americans were here first, then we came with our smallpox and thinking we are better than everyone else purely by wearing clothes that are uncomfortable. We should have stayed in Europe.
America is growing more horrible by the day. We elected a businessman and not a very good one at that, to the highest office in the land. We have territories whose senators don't even get a vote in Congress and the people don't get to vote for the highest office. Our President didn't even care when the Prime Minister of our biggest enemy threatened one of the territories.
If you really believe in a brighter future, comment your thoughts on this matter or pm me if they're private.

Thank you for your understanding,
  Z Nezquil
