Hausalpura

The guards of Padmasena was shivering in fear to see the towering figure of their ruler. His presence was the last thing they were expecting. The villagers bowed down to him.

Vansh came forward to the young lad and pat his back encouragingly.

"You did a splendid job! BRAVO! I am proud to see such a courageous man like you. This is exactly how one should act. -Fearlessly, and keeping his head held high "

"Maharaj!" He bowed his head.

"I did my duty . Protecting the innocents and harmless is my responsibility."

Vansh looked at him with amazement.

He is wearing simple clothes but his attitude speaks as if he is a royal.

He smiled at him and asked

"Is it? And why do you think You should do so?"

"I shall tell you later Maharaj. But if you don't mind, can I ask you two questions.

Vansh was even more impressed by him.

"Sure you can. " He permitted.

" Padmasena had been torturing the people of Hausalpura since a long time. How you remained ignorant to this fact.

Riddhima gasped in astonishment.

This boy had the guts to question the king.

She wondered how Vansh would react!.

But to her surprise Vansh smiled.

'You are right! I was unaware of the fact that my subjects of Hausalpura had not been treated very well..See! He explained. I ruled a vast kingdom, It consists of 2800 villages. Almost 950 districts and 108 vassal states. It is vast. Though I have a very skilled   espionage system, Still it takes time for my messenger to pass the rightful information  to me. Hausalpura is one of those villages which are in farthest corners from Udaykhetra.

" Do you think it's possible to know every inch and detail of every village?  The moment I came to know about it. I came by myself to deal with it. Even horses took three to four days to reach here"

.Arjun was quite shocked that the king explained him so lucidly. He was a young blood. He was not thinking rationally.

"This is exactly the reason why I have recruited councilors and Provincial governors. A king cannot rule properly if his council of ministers is dishonest and tyrant . Padmasana will surely serve his due punishment."

Arjun agreed to what the king said

"What is your second question?"

Vansh asked

"Why did you wait for the girl and the old man to be battered? You could have punished them earlier...."

Vansh stopped him midway.

"Guarding down doesn't mean giving up." I was just keeping an eye to what extent they could go. I would have thrashed the guard brutally,but you came as their Messiah! "

Vansh was dazed and impressed by Arjunverma.

An amused smile played in his lips.

"I hate him,'' replied Arjunverma.

Riddhima was shocked to listen to their conversations. She was worried how things would take place. She knows that she cannot take part in this conversation, as it is beyond protocol.

Arjunverma continued,

"I know you are his brother -in -law. Who does not know why Kabirvadra got his sister married to you.!Vansh was dazed to hear such statement. So his prediction was correct.

You might kill me right here right now...But I am not afraid at all. I shall die like a warrior then."said Arjunverma.

"No you will not "said Vansh patting his back.

"You know what?.You make me remember to someone very close to me!"He said affectionately.

"Who"? asked Arjun with a little bit of confusion

"Me"! Vansh laughed.

"You made me recall my teenhood - Feisty and Dauntless."

"Arijun! Maharaj Kabir Vadra is my relative. But You are no less.you protected my subjects on behalf of me. You did a fair job or I can say something that you could have avoided. But you choose to be a true man. You owe me Arjunverma! I...Vansh Rai Singhania...promised you that your province will be a free state. I will make Kabir understand to free your country but if he disagrees. I promise you that you will get full military support from me when the war is waged. I will support and guide you. And you don't need any written clarification for that. My words are enough"

. Arjun verma smiled broadly and touched his feet.

"I lost my father when I was 14. But it seems I got an elder brother in the form of you. I rarely bow down to take blessings. But you are genuinely worthy of my reverence. "

Vansh blessed him and said ,

"From now on You will be the protector of Hausalpura. When you will make your state free from Kabir "s subjugation. You shall integrate Hausalpura along with Gandharvipura.

Arjunverma was shocked. This definitely was not expected by him. What all he did was an act of valour and protection.

"But Maharaj "! He hesitated to take the role. How can I?"

'You can...because you deserve it ".

The king declared.

Riddhima on the other hand, was perplexed and shocked. She could apprehend how angry Kabir Bhadra would be when he came across it.

Unbeknownst to him All his plans had gone astray. The agenda that had made him to get his sister to marry Rajasaye....had gone. Now he will be livid. She shuddered inwardly to contemplate how Kabir would react to it.

One hour later

Padmasena was brought near Vansh. Vansh was sitting on a huge couch that was placed in the centre of the meadow. Vidyut bhadra and his men were also there. As per the order of the king The entire village gathered in the market ground area. They were still at awe of how their Rajasaye would punish the tyrant.

"Do you have any testament to give on your behalf Padmasana"?

He asked in a very cold voice. Padmasena shook in fear. He had no courage left to utter a single word

"You have declared yourself as the Loksamrat of this village and instead of protecting and taking good care of my subjects, you are indulging child labour and forcing women to lose their dignity?Are these allegations against you true?"

Padmasena said nothing.

"Are these true?" He growled like a lion.

"No..no..Rajasaye ...They are telling lie."

Vansh stood up immediately and slapped Padmasana tightly.

"You mean the entire village is a liar...and you are the one, who was innocent. You still have the audacity to lie? How could you think that I would not look into this matter, when I will come across all your misdeeds? "

"R..raja saye"!!

...he sluttered. He folded his hands and tears ran down from his eyes.

" Tie him up with this tree". ordered Vansh.

Vansh 's guards tied him up.

"Chop off his tongue ". He said.

There was pindrop silence in the entire area. One of the guards took out a dagger and approached Padamasena.

"No....Nooo....Rajasaye"....Padamasena yelled desperately. But all his crying was in vain.

"AAAHHH!" It was his last cry...as his tongue engulfed with blood fell on the ground. His mouth was smeared with blood.

Everyone gasped in astonishment and fear.

"Your punishment doesn't end here Padmasena...Now you will know....How it feels when you torture someone out of pleasure."

No food and water for him. He instructed.

"And now the major part of your punishment will commence. Each and every villager, irrespective of men, women and child... I repeat each one of you shall whip him 50 times. He should be kept whipping until he loses his consciousness. If he loses his senses before anyone 's turn left, he should be brought back to consciousness and then again the whiplash process should be continued. Put him behind the bars, after all my subjects are done ".

Arjunverma came forward and asked

"Will it not be too cruel Maharaj?".

"No Arjun"...! Vansh declared sternly.

"Punishments should be exemplary.. so that others too learn the lesson from it. You are still a boy! My brother! Always remember three things when you rule your kingdom.

Be respectful to Women and gentle to children

Be rational and unbiased at the time of making a decision. Give respect to them only when they are worthy enough.

Be cruel and exemplary to them who betray you and torture your subjects. They are like my children. And a father can bear anything but not the agony and distress of his children."

Arjun Verma smiled and felt as if he is under the guidance of a epitome of prudence and valour in his vicinity.

Few hours Later (Night)

Vansh was playing with her nipples. It recently had been his new fetish. He had always been a thing for breasts. "She is safe now". He assured her.

"Is she"? Riddhima counter asked him.

He asked. Riddhima was not a woman who will ask him thoughtless question.

Let me show you something. She moved out from the bed, gathering her dress properly.

They were taking a one day rest in the house of a wealthy merchant of Hausalpura.The merchant couple served their king queen and their men with all they could do.

Riddhima brought a silver casket to Vansh. Vansh was curious to what his little wife had brought.

Vansh immediately identified the silver dagger which was placed in the centre of the box. Then there was a chilly and pepper spray, laxative, sleeping pills and starmium powder. Vsnsh couldn't find the relevance why he was shown these items by his wife.

"Do you know what...These are the things which I always carry so that I can protect myself. This dagger to fight with if someone attacks me, this pepper spray to distract somebody . This sleeping and laxative pills to spike someone"s food or drink so that I can buy some time to run away. And last but not thel east poison, for myself, If i cannot save myself."

Vansh looked at her with bewilderment. And start laughing. His sonorous voice echoed the wall.

"You are such a lillte fellow Riddhima! You think these can save you from enemies? You are telling me that these are your weapon s to defend yourself from evil eyes?
Why will you need them Ranisaye. There always be guards around you, and moreover I will be there for you...you dont have to take the pain of carrying this."

Vansh composed himself and looking at his wife his smile faded.

Tears were brimming in her eyes. She was crying.

" Riddhima! "Vansh called her. But she ran away from her proximity, and stood near the window. Vansh immediately went to her and tried to take her arms. But she jerked him off.

"I was just joking with you...I didn't mean to hurt you"...

he didn't think she will be hurt. He should have tried to figure out what she wanted to tell her.

" i will try to refrain myself not to share my silly secrets from you.I apologize". She said in her hoarse voice due to her crying.

Vansh turned her towards him and wiped her tears.

"No! You will always share everything to me. I am your husband. You have every right to share all your secrets to me."

"I dont want your sympathy. "

She said and was about to turn away.
Vansh immediately pulled her in his arms and embraced her tightly.

"Dare you try to run away.! I am apologizing for my behavior. It was my fault. I should'nt have laughed. I should have instead tried to know why were you showing these to me."

Riddhima looked up at him. He is a king. And he is apologizing?

"Ra...I mean Arya...you are my king...you cannot apologize."

"Who told you this? "

He answered.

" if i am at fault I can surely do that".
Riddhima tell me why were you showing these things to me.
he caressed her hair.

"Why are we so powerless Rajasaye?"

She asked.

"Aarya " He corrected her immediately.

"Being your wife, I know I will be bestowed all the security facilities. And In udaykhetra Women safety had always been taken care of...But you know what the situation may not be the same everywhere."

" What do you mean?"

he asked, as he made her sit on the mattress.
" I was a commoner. I have seen in many instances. how women were harassed by guards and males in market places. Rajkumari Ragini had always enjoyed having bodyguards. But sometimes we the chapereon and maids used to fall prey of such malicious people. They used to ogle us while we were bathing in pond or changing clothes. They used to pass lascivious comments. I tried to protect myself and teach my friends to protect themselves by these limited resources. But this is not enough. We cannot get guarded by our husbands and security all the time. These evil men are always in search of chances to harass us. Have u seen how everyone was watching silently when the girl was getting harassed. Why are common women folk so helpless and powerless Aarya?"

She was right. Vansh sighed heavily. She hailed from a common background and hence she could relate the problem. Vansh pulled her in his torso and kissed her nose.

"You are my guide of light Ranisaye...I have understood What I am supposed to do... I would announce it, as we return to Udakhetra."

Riddhima looked at her and smiled gleefully. He played a little more with her breasts, giving her some mini orgasmic pleasures. The couple soon engulfed in deep, happy slumber,unknown to the storm was ensuing.

After two days, Vansh and Riddhima reached Manyabhum.He reached a little earlier, as he was in horseback. Riddhima 's palanquin was behind.

The main door was decorated beautifully with floral design and garlands, jingling bells and decoratives.

A Middle aged fair lady, cladded with white and gold jewelry came in front of them. The guards bellowed trumpets and the maids started throwing flower petals on Vansh. Vansh and Vidhyut was in the front row. While Riddhima and Jagruki came down from their palanquin a little later.

The middle aged lady smiled at Vansh and pressed her thumb on his forehead applying sandalwood and vermilion. She welcomed him royally and smiled at him.

"Its an honour to have you among us Rajasaye ". Kabir laughed heartily and embraced him.

" I am so thankful that you sent Ragini...beforehand to meet her people. I heartily thanked you. "

"Ragini."!

.Vansh asked him with his tone full of surprise...

"Yes...Your wife Ragini..The queen of Udaykhetra." said he..

Vansh turned around and saw Riddhima looking at him tearfully with equal shock and pain in her eyes. Two ladies are dragging her towards the backdoor.

Backdoor

Riddhima! When did you come?.How you have been...asked Ratnabali and Digdarshani, clouding her vision. We thought you would come with Rajkumari Ragini...Where have you been so long? Digdarshani almost pull her towards the back gate. Ratnabali teased her

What are you looking over there.? Have you forgotten that only royals can enter the palace from the backgate?" Rajkumari Ragini will be very happy to see you quipped Ratnabali...

Riddhima looked at her with shock.

She is here?. Riddhima asked the maid as her trance broke.

Yes she is. Digdarshini laughed and pointed out upstairs.

To her utmost bewilderment.... Riddhima could see Ragini standing royally on the upper chamber of the palace.

Precap - Riddhima wants to meet Ragini but she refused. Vansh is restless without Riddhima. Vansh met little Supriti and bonded with her. Mandakini meets Riddhima. Rudra 's henious move.!
