I missed you'.Mohini snaked her arms and sat on Vansh "s lap. 

"I missed you as well "said he wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Dont lie to me Yuvraj". Mohini whined,as if she is hurt.
"How can you miss me,You have a beautiful wife now. She must be very...very very.....very she smiled naughtily, as she played with his sacred thread.

"Oh just dont talk about her ".She is a traitor,lowly born,conniving woman,who trapped me in a fake marriage pursuit. I dont even want to talk about her."Vansh kept caressing her mounds,and unpinned her saree.

"What you want then Yuvraj?"asked Mohini, as she pour an amber liquid in his glass".
"You...and only you". He said.

Present situation

Riddhima sat on the corner of the bed mattress.

Her eyes were glassy and her cheeks were moist due to the continuous flow of the tears. She cursed herself. 
She herself wàs taken aback when she thought about the incident that never happened. It was her imagination. Gone was the sensible Riddhima! Gone was that girl who had always given importance to Rationality. The girl who never bowed down to any mushy feelings was imagining her husband in the arms of his most favored concubine.

She herself made up a story as if she had witnessed Her Rajasaye saying such vile words about her to that concubine, She thought if she would call him by making an excuse of her illness, he would not arrive. She wanted to test him.

Is she even capable of that? "

Riddhima took out her necklace, anklets and her bangles and  throw them  in the floor and cried. 

"No she doesn't! She is a liar she is a traitor in his eyes.

Even if he ignores her and spend time with other women,it would not be entirely wrong.

Many kings and crown princes  do that. They fulfilled  all their needs in the arms of their concubines or other wives,even they are allowed to keep sex slaves. Then why her heart ached,by the mere thought of sharing him  with any woman? Is she here for loving him? No right? She has sacrificed her life to protect Rajkumari Ragini.

She throw herself in the mattress and started crying bitterly. Jealousy?Anger?  Desperation,she couldn't understand what exact was her feeling,but she knew this much, she from now on would never able to share her man to anyone.

Trilochani Devi 's bed chamber

Trilochani Devi was pacing back and forth in anger. 
Nandavadra tried to initiate a conversation, to pacify her.

But one  menacing glare of her grandmother shut her up.

"Is this a way a Kulbadhu behaves? Where are her manners?.

Neither she had made any arrangement of our welcome nor she had come to meet us ". 

We couldn't attend their marriage. I chose her only by dint of the beautiful face she has...

Had I known the fact that she is so ill-mannered and devoid of any culture,I would have cancel that marriage right there ".

When Trilochani Devi and Nandavadra returned Udaykhetra, they were quite astonished that The crown princess was not present there to welcome them. This was beyond her imagination and beyond protocol.

"Dadisa! Vansh entered into her room. He was freshly bathed. He was wearing a black dhoti that has embroidered with golden border.

"I told you Vansh repeatedly,that your stars till next three month will not be so good,You should avoid wearing black...but it seems You are not going to listen to me"

. Trilochani Devi fumed in anger. Vansh smirked inwardly. He knew,this would be her reaction. He deliberately had worn black  to tickle her, as well as he wanted to take the wrath,that otherwise would have been fall on Riddhima.

He touched Trilochani Devi's feet and said 
"You know i don't believe in such lame superstitions". Black is my favorite color. I believe in action and that's decide the consequences. not any star moon or sun.

Trilochani Devi glared at him and then turned to Nandavadra and said 
'He is the same old obstinate young man You see! He didn't change a bit." What is the use of him getting married then?"

"Dadisa! Nanda whined, he had been married merely by a week!".Let at least Yuvrani knew him properly ".

Trilochani grimaced at both the siblings.

"Everyone in this palace I guess had forgotten all the protocols and manners. You have learned to argue with me,This what happens when a princess gets married to a minister"..Vansh had started violating all my orders. And his indecent wife didn't pay a visit to me....This is how you should behave with your elder ones ". Earning no reply from both of the siblings, She changed her topic and glared at Vansh.
"Where is your wife?".Was she not aware that She supposed to welcome us?"
"I beg your apology Dadisa".we both were not present there. Yuvrani soon would make it up to you ".He smiled.

"I can understand that you must have a reason of being absent,Maybe you were busy with some administrative affair, put Trilochani Devi curtly.

"But why didn't Rajkumari Ragini didn't appear to welcome us "? 

Vansh heaved a sigh of  a big relief,that she still was unaware of the fact that the name of the crown princess is not Ragini but Riddhima,and she is not royal blood.

Vansh looked at his grandmother pinpointedly and said 
"She couldn't, because she is having her monthly cycle ".

It was a blunt lie,But vansh said that so easefully, that Trilochani Devi bought the lie.

"What is wrong with this lad!"She yelled 
"Where the hell are your manners Yuvraj?" You,being a man,openly is saying this to your grandmother?that too in presence of your sister?" She made a disgusted face. 

"Why? What is wrong in that?" He asked teasingly. He well knew how to irk his grandmother.
"This is the most natural thing in women"!

And how on earth You would have been notified?said he.
"Yuvrani would have send this news to us by her chief handmaid. That's how every crown princess does!".Trilochani explained him.

"Umm!"Vansh pretend to be concerned.

"I think I am better a person to inform you about it ".

said he arching his brow.
Nanda put her hands on her mouth to hid her laugh.

"Stop laughing!" growled Trilochani Devi,

"I hope you didn't stay with her in her bed-chamber last night "?

"I so wish I could do so Dadisa! Vansh made a face which was ladened with fake misery!
Trilonchani Devi shut her ears as she blushed profusely to realize his indication.
"Nanda!! she yelled,

"Tell your  obnoxious,shameless brother to leave from my eyesight immediately.".
Vansh and Nanda vadra

both burst out in laughter as Trilochani Devi kept sulking.

They hadn't tease the lady for a long time. After composing themselves. Nanda caressed his brother's cheek.

Vansh hugged Nanda vadra and she kissed his forhead affectionately. 

"I will soon come to meet Yuvrani, after her periods are over " Nanda, said to her younger brother lovingly.

Mohini's bedchamber -

" Have you seen her? Mohini asked Vrinda,the maid she had to get served,when she visits Udaykhetra.
"No!"mumbled Vrinda. But I heard she is extremely beautiful. "

"More than me?" Mohini wanted to ascertain,as she spread her hair in the pillow.

Vrinda nodded her head and said

"I don't think so ".She didn't want to get kicked out telling anything wrong.

Mohini closed her eyes and recalled the moments,few hours ago.

Mohini "s thought in Flashback-

When Vansh paid his visit to Mohini 's room, it was almost evening.

"Rajasaye! Pls come! Heartiest welcome to my room,Mohini giggled,and tried to hug him.
Rajasaye smiled cordially at her but he was clearly maintaining a safe distance.
He sat on the couch,but not at her vicinity.
"I hope you didn't have any problem during your journey ". Have you taken your meal?"

Mohini was surprised at his tone. His body was definitely here,but his mind was not.

He clearly was refraining himself to get intimate with her. Had it been earlier,they would have joked around each other amidst some steamy sessions in the mattress.

"Why he is behaving so different ".she murmured
"Is that your wife...You are not coming close to me Rajasaye?"Mohini whined in displeasure. I think you are bored of me?" She made a crying face.
"Not at all dear!"he said smilingly. But his smile did'nt reach his eyes.

You are beautiful.said he.

Mohini could see clear indifference in his eyes. She would never claim that She had loved him,but As per as the track records say, she is the only woman that Rajasaye had spent his longest hours with her.

She was the one who had fulfilled his manly needs as well as accompanied him in the matters of intellect.

He was eating the special sweet she had brought. He even drank the special liquor she had prepared, but sex, which he loved the most,was not happening to her.

He clapped and a man appeared. 
'Bring the chessboard and the dice "lets start playing Mohini, he said.

Mohini came and sat near him. Surprisingly, he didn't bicker around her,which she usually does,while choosing the color of the chess pieces. He quietly choose the white chess piece and played his first turn.

He usually is a slow and focused player. He loves irking his opponent,by taking time to play. 
But today he was playing hastily, very hastily,unlike his nature, as if he is  in a hurry.
Mohini slackened her blouse  and made a show of her ample cleavage. She well knew, he had a fetish of big round breasts. But Rajasaye 's focus was not on her body. She then tried to lean and touch him. He reverted back. She tried to rub her feet on his loin. Nothing worked. Mohini was getting frustrated.

Are you angry and disappointed with me? she asked. She couldn't take the matter lightly that her seduction was not working.
"No certainly not "! Careful Girl! He smirked, I will take your Horse."he warned her.
"Rajasaye! Are you unwell.! Am I not looking beautiful enough for your taste?".She herself gasped as she was begging to have attention,which she never does 
"Mohini! Focus!" lets finish the game.he said 
"We have the entire night ".she whined.

.She stood up and tried to sit on his lap 
"No! stop!  he gave her a stern look.
"You are no more permitted to have sex with me. I exempt you from that duty "today onwards."
Mohini "s eyes widened in astonishment.

Vansh -The prince of Udaykhetra is refusing sex?"

She was agape.

" I am married ".He reasoned her.
Mohini laughed at him.

"So what Rajasaye?"asked she bemusedly.

"I promised her that i will not    bed  any woman after accepting her as my wife ". said Vansh, and  strike out her horse.
"She is not even present here Rajasaye"And you don't need to keep all your promise! Who keeps promise that is given to a woman?"
Vansh looked at Mohini, and said in a icy cold tone

"I do!"This tone was for the first time he was using for her..

!How may she..know if you really breaking your promise or not "

...Mohini gave a naughty smile to him.

"Watch your tone!'He growled suddenly .

"You should not forget who she is! She is not only my wife but the crown princess as well. "

"Don't ever talk like that about her",Now lets finish the game fast.
Mohini instantly went back to her seat, and rest of the time they concentrated on playing.

A  few moments later

"I beg your apology Rajasaye "! It was only 15 minutes passed,when they continued their game. A guard made her presence near his room.

"Yuvrani is feeling unwell. She had requested your presence.
To Mohini.'s utter dissatisfaction, Vansh immediately stood up. He was worried.
"What happened to her?" he asked.
"I am again begging your apology Yuvraj!

The guard said, "I don't know ".

"We will complete the game tomorrow Mohini.". said he.and marched hurriedly from her room.

This was the first time he didn't spend his night with Mohini -his special concubine.

Mohini gritted her teeth bitterly, and clapped her hand to summon her maid 
"Vrinda!

"I want all the information about  Ranisaye within 24 hours " said she.

Mensuration was a taboo at that time. Couples were not allowed to stay together,when wives used to have periods.

Women were not permitted to do any social and cultural rituals at that time. They were not allowed to come out of their room,as there was no use of sanitary pads.
