"We are having a baby," she said in awe her hand moving to her stomach.
Munya chuckled at her reaction loving the pure innocence of it all. He couldn't help but remember how Edith had been when she was pregnant. She did not seem this excited making him realize what a true gem he had found in Rudo.
"I'll be back love," he smiled.
"You can't leave me," she said in a panicked voice.
"I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I will be just by the door unless you want everyone to come in here and see you like this," he added.
Nodding her head she gave him the go ahead to  do as he intended. Subconsciously her hand went to her neck where the dart had penetrated her skin and Munya did not miss this movement coming to halt. Looking at her she knew he knew.
"What happened to me?" She asked as he closed his eyes dreading this question.
"Someone tried to kill you," he said as her eyes widened in alarm.
"And you were going to tell me this when?"
"When you got out. Besides that, I don't want you stressed," he said in a flat tone.
Clearly she was angry, but so was he.

"Why is your brother after me? What wrong have I done against him?"
"Because you are what he cannot have. Each and everything I have accomplished in life he seems to always compete with me. You are the one thing he can never have hence it seems he has become infatuated with removing you from my life by any means necessary. Even if it means poisoning you to death," he said.
"Is that why you increased my security detail?" She asked.
He looked at her in confusion.
"I am not naive. I have seen them around the school. They really cannot blend in with the others," she said her lips breaking into a small smile as he walked towards her.

"You do understand that after today you can't go back until I have dealt with him," he said as she looked close to objecting before giving in thinking of the life growing within her.
She nodded her head yes as he stroked her cheek before leaning down to kiss her.
"Thank you," he said with a sincere smile.

A knock disturbed them as he stood up straight before giving the go ahead for the individual to enter the room.
The doctor walked into the room followed by a nurse.
"I would like to check her vitals and draw a blood sample to check the current toxicity level."
"What poison was used?"
"Spider venom. It's a miracle she did not lose the pregnancy," he said with awe.
"Well I'm not really surprised," Munya said with a smile. "She is my own miracle," he said kissing her forehead making Rudo smile shyly.

Taking her hand in his he watched as blood was drawn from her arm before the nurse left with the sample.
"Are you not supposed to be in a meeting?" She asked him.
"Already tired of me I see," he chuckled as she shook her head no.
"Just thinking of the schedule I most likely disrupted," she said.
"John is taking care of it all. Now I will be back I just want to find out when I can take you home," he said seeing fear in her eyes. "I'll be back love," he said with a reassuring smile.
"Okay," She said with a tired look.

When he returned he found her fast asleep.
John walked into the room holding files in his arms.
"Leave them there," he said pointing to a table as he sat beside her bed.
After taking his leave he moved away from her bed to sit in front of the desk. Going through the files he put his phone on vibrate as he focused on clearing some of the paperwork.

"Listen I don't know how you are going to do it but make sure by tomorrow morning that deal is closed," he spoke in a low tone into the phone so as not to disturb Rudo.
"And one more thing apologize to him for my absence. I can't make it due to a family emergency," he murmured rubbing his neck.

Walking towards the bed to check if she was fast asleep he found her resting. Walking away ftom the bed he heard her voice.
"You really should have gone to the office," she said looking at the state of the table. Piles of documents sat on top of the table.
"Don't worry John is on his way to take that away. I am all yours now," he said in a tired voice.
Patting the space beside her he went back towards her and removed his shoes. Climbing into bed beside her, she smiled as he pulled her onto his chest allowing her to snuggle close to him.
Sighing he closed his eyes as he fell asleep.

"Hello," he answered his phone finding her still asleep.
"A little bird told me you are having a little problem," he heard making him smile.
"How did you get this number?"
"Oh you know me I have my ways," he said.
"You sound like you want to help me out," he said.
"Well I have nothing better to do," he heard as the call ended with the person chuckling.

Swatting at a mosquito Simba sat up as Nyasha walked into the room. He expected bodyguards to be following closely behind but none were present. Looking at the woman in front of him he couldn't help but admire her beauty, dark skin with a lithe body. It was hard to believe she had recently put to bed.
"How may I be of assistance?" She said sitting across from him as a young girl walked into the room placing a tray in front of her.
"I have a problem that needs to be taken care of. See I am the rightful heir to my father's throne and my brother has taken over everything. He went as far as taking the woman I love away from me," he said with such conviction any court of law would have believed.

"If the woman loved you she would have not been swayed by another and if the throne was indeed yours the people would have fought for you," she said pouring some juice into the ice filled glasses as Marcel walked into the room.
"Good evening love," he said greeting her with a peck on the lips.
"Good evening darling," she said with a warm smile before turning back to Simba whilst Marcel helped her up allowing him to sit in her place as he pulled her onto his lap.
Turning back to her husband as he pulled her closer to him she leaned towards him whispering into his ear as he looked at Simba with interest.

"My wife tells me you want a throne," Marcel chuckled.
"Simply put, yes," Simba said looking at the couple in front of him.
"And you also want another mans' woman," Marcel said in a bored tone.
"Well," Simba said looking away.
"Does he know what business we are into?" Marcel said in question.
"I don't really think so darling," she said as she ran her fingers through his hair as she took a glass sipping her juice.
"The question is what exactly do you want from us?" Marcel said as Nyasha offered her glass to him.
"I want manpower?" He said as they saw a glimmer of greed in his eyes.
"Why should we help you?" Nyasha said. "Why should we risk the lives of our people for you?"
"Because you are the best in the security business and because when there is a need to be ruthless you do not hesitate," Simba said without missing a beat.
"He does know us, right darling?" Nyasha said with a smile.
"Indeed he does," Marcel said studying Simba as he too watched their every move.

With an increased security detail around her everyday Rudo ended up opting to go to the office with Munya to keep busy instead of staying at home. Walking into his office he looked up his face lighting up as he stopped what he was doing giving her his attention.
"You do remember you have a meeting in exactly three minutes right?" She said looking at her watch.
He seemed to not even be listening to her as he took in her appearance. At two and a half months she was showing and he couldn't help his imagination getting the best of him as he imagined her appearance in a few  more months.
"Earth to Munya," she said waving her hand in front of his face causing him to snap out of his trance.

"Sorry love," he said standing up as he walked around the table to sit at the edge of the table. "Come here," he said holding out his hand.
Taking a step towards him she placed her hand in his as he pulled her close letting her stand between his legs. Resting her hands on his shoulders she looked at him wondering what he was up to.
"I didn't tell you how beautiful you look today did I," he said softly his eyes trailing from her teasing cleavage to her face as he hands rested on her waist.
"Hmmm, I do remember you saying it when we left home," she said deep in thought.
"But did I really show you just how beautiful you look," he said with a smile.
"You are late for your meeting," she said stepping back as he quickly got ahold of her before she distanced herself further.

"Have you eaten?" He said getting off the table still holding onto her ignoring her remark about the meeting.
"Not yet. I can't seem to keep anything down," she said as he frowned upon this.
"I'll have John bring you something to eat during the meeting," he murmured as she looked at him with a smile.
Turning on her heel she smiled knowing his eyes where following her as she made her way to the door. He took his phone making a call as he grabbed his jacket. The red pencil skirt and white shirt she wore showed off her shapely body to perfection such that a few seconds later she felt his hand reaching for hers as they made their way to the conference room. Stopping by the door she turned to look at him checking to see if he looked presentable.

Indicating with a finger for him to come closer to her she whispered into his ear, "I don't have any underwear on," she said running her nails down his neck as he looked at her in shock.
His thoughts were a pure mess as they walked into the room heading to the head of the table. He found her food already set up for her. He smiled as she sat down already eager to eat. The medication she had been given to allow her to keep food down was clearly not helping thus the doctor had requested they come for a scan that afternoon. Pouring her tea into the cup he leaned towards her asking her to be careful with the hot beverage.

Seeing her eyes water he let the young man presenting continue as he turned to face her cupping her cheek. Silently asking her if she was okay he saw her trying to hide the pain as he pulled her closer to his already parted lips. Seeing what he intended she pulled back a smirk on her face as she turned to see everyone looking at the young man.Closing her eyes she leaned back crossing her legs causing her skirt to ride up as Munya watched her actions pouring himself a cup. Without thinking he scorched his tongue as he did not check to see how hot it was. Rudo smirked pulling him towards her surprising her by kissing him in front of the department managers. It was however unfortunate for those who dared turn to look at them. Focusing in dulling the pain he cupped her cheek as she pulled back. Biting her lower lip she turned back to the presentation as though nothing had happened.

Paying attention to the report being presented before him he stopped the young man throwing questions at him. He caught sight of her writing on her notepad. Tearing the small piece of paper and folding it she gave it to him. Reading the note I looked at her as she simply wore a smirk.

"Check your message."

Reaching for my phone I quickly turned off my phone closing my eyes. An image of her wearing one of my work shirts and a tie was enough to get my blood boiling.

"Let's discuss the problems. All the good news give the files to John," he said glancing at his wife as she wore a smile throughout.

Sighing in a bored manner he looked at her as she looked at the screen in a daze. She had stopped teasing thankfully as he shifted his sitting position.
"

Finish up here and send the reports to my home office," he whispered to John.
Placing his hand on her knee he caught her attention leaning towards her.
"Let's go love," he said offering his hand to her as she looked happy to be leaving.
Locking the door to his office he opened another that revealed an entirely different room.
"When was this set up?" She said eyeing the bed.
"As soon as we found out about the pregnancy. I knew you were going to be tired often thus here is a comfortable place to rest. This was my closet before I had it renovated. With multiple meetings I have to wear a certain attire for golfing and such going home was a tedious task thus I had a closet," he said in explanation.
"Well this was huge for a closet," she murmured looking around.

Slowly undoing her blouse she removed it as his eyes raked over her body. Locking the door he felt her hands on him as she tugged his shirt open as his hands worked on her skirt.
"I think we should make the most of this time because soon you might hate me," he said as she stood before him in her bra alone. "Because trust me love, the very sight of me might upset you," he said as she looked at him perplexed.
"Munya," she said pulling him onto the bed. "Just make love to me," she said forgetting all his nonsense.

"Hmmmm," the doctor said as they all looked at the screen turning the speaker volume up a notch.
"Is everything okay?" Munya asked holding on to her hand.
"Everything is fine. All the babies have strong and steady heartbeats," he said.
"Sorry come again?" Munya said confused.
"One, two, three," he said pointing at the screen. "The babies are in perfect condition," he said smiling at them.
"Triplets. Three of them," Munya said clearly surprised as Rudo looked beyond terrified as she saw her husband's face break into a smile she knew all too well.
The doctor left them as she wiped the gel off her belly.

"Name anything you want and it is yours," he said as she sat up to get off the bed.
Something had been on her mind al, the while and now that he had said those few but deadly words she knew she had an opportunity.
"Forgive your mother," she whispered seeing the smile fall from his face.
"No," he stated in a tone he had never used with her before as she put on the dress she had worn to the doctors.
Leaving the room without another word they headed home as she looked at him seeing he was clearly angry. Greeting the servants in return she headed to their room feeling tired. Changing into one of his shirts she slid underneath the covers as he went to take a shower.

Waking up later for supper he tried to make small talk with her but she remained adamant. Until her request was fulfilled she would not speak to him. Yes the woman had hurt her, but having grown up without a mother she knew the pain of such. Besides she had always imagined how her mother in law would treat her like she was own her daughter. There was still hope for such as long as differences where set aside.

"Nyasha what do I do?" Rudo cried into the phone.
"You will be fine. Just show him who is boss. What I do with Marcel is frustrate him from every angle, silent treatment, plus my body will be off limits. I had a slightly different case with my mother in law but don't worry once they know you are taking care of their babies very well they won't bother you. As for your case let him be the bridge to you winning over that woman. Anyways I hear you are having triplets," Nyasha said as she changed the subject.
"I'm really scared to be honest," Rudo said looking down at her belly.
"Argh this is the time he should be pampering you and worshiping the very ground you walk on. Do you want me to call him. I am yet to meet this husband of yours all I heard is that you snatched a good piece of meat off the market," she said making Rudo laugh.
"Look who is talking. How is Marcel?"
"Alive and kicking just the way I like him," Nyasha said with a chuckle.
"And your adorable babies?" She added.
"Oh Mario just started first grade. I am currently waiting for him and his father. My little princess should be giving my brother and his wife a run for their money. Her uncle spoils her rotten so I have observed," she said with a fond smile.
"I happy to hear that," Rudo smile thinking about her own family. Munashe would definitely be a good big brother, she thought to herself smiling.

"Now remember only the two of you should know you are fighting and nobody else. Those pretty little vultures will swoop in once they see a rift in your relationship," Nyasha said making Rudo laugh some more.
"Don't I know that oh too well. Even if there isn't a rift they are always swooping only to be brushed aside," she said as Nyasha laughed.
"I've got to go my dear. I'll call you to find out how you are fairing," Nyasha said just as she saw her son and husband walking towards their car.

Leaving the palace together the following morning he expected her to follow him but was surprised when she stayed in the car.
"I'm going shopping," she said as he sighed.
Yesterday had clearly been a dull day without her in the office because of her morning sickness. And today she was going shopping without him. She was the only person who could make the boring process of walking around stores looking for clothes seem like an adventure.

Going to the drivers window he gave him a set of instructions as he saw that her security was well covered as the female guard was present as well. He could hear her laughing on the phone speaking to who knows who as her window rolled down.
"Bye love," he said leaning in to kiss her as she turned her head giving him her cheek.
Straightening up he watched as the vehicles pulled off, sighing he turned heading into the building dreading the meetings he was going to have to attend.

"What do you think of this one?"
Rudo asked Vimbai as she looked in the mirror studying her appearance. Vimbai shook her head no as Rudo sighed in defeat. She really missed her husband. Just yesterday had he tried to speak to her as soon as she got home.
Walking into their room he had stopped in his tracks seeing her wearing a new piece of lingerie that had him swallowing the words he had planned on uttering. She seemed to not have even heard him as he stepped further into the room. She was holding a silk nightdress as she bent forward laying it on the bed in thought.
"Good evening love," he said undoing his tie as he tried to keep his hands busy. Startling her she turned to have him as he groaned in sheer pain seeing how inviting she looked. Ignoring him she went to their closet before disappearing into the bathroom.

He took off his work clothes before heading to the bathroom only to find her lying in the bathtub. Bubbled his everything except her face from his view.
"I missed you today," he said leaning towards her as she gave him her cheek before his lips could touch hers.

Looking hurt he straightened up discarding the towel around his waist revealing his already throbbing manhood as he moved towards the shower. Relaxing he quickly showered but just as he stepped out of the shower he found her getting out of the tub her body glowing from the soap. Taking a towel she carefully wrapped it around her body slowly making her way to their closet. He closed his eyes willing his body to calm down but it was futile as he went back into the shower.

It was safe to say he had a long sleepless night as he kept looking towards the bed as she lay there in all silk. He dress had ridden up during the night and the moonlight was not helping one bit as he could see her as clear as day. Turning away from her he cursed the small sofa as he tried to find a comfortable angle.

And now sitting in his office he kept glancing at his phone before he finally gave in. Looking in front of him he saw a picture of Rudo holding the boys in her arms, his son wearing the biggest smile he had ever seen. Looking at his screen saver he smiled remembering how he had negotiated for this very picture as he had tickled her until she gave in wearing nothing but his shirt.

Dialing her number he got no response as her phone kept ringing. Calling his driver they left the office heading to the palace.
Walking into the greenhouse he found his mother tending to her roses. She didn't even hear him until he called her.
"Mother..."
