I walked, no, runned through the woods as the voices came closer. My legs were hurting. I could feel pressure on my back like her hands were still there. I felt liquid dripping down my back. It it sweat? Could be. Rain? Does it rain? No. It doesn't rain. I took a quick break and pressed my hands on my back.
I look at them
It's blood.
Why is there blood? Did she do this? Or were it the branches of the trees. I don't know. My legs are all cut too.
Suddenly the forest was so silent. There were no owls hooting. No bushes rustling. No wind was blowing through the leaves. Silence. It this good? Had she left me? Did she realize I'm not her child? I'm not the one she is looking for. Or is this a bad sign? Silence before storm? I looked around me. Trying to figure out were I am. Trying to find the river.
Shit.
Where is the river? I lost the river. *Crying in distance* No, this can't be happening. I looked behind me...
She's back. And there is no escaping now.
