Chapter 21- Compliments? What's That?

Everything was in dust and rubble, and you wiped any dirt and blood from your face.
'Holy shit!! Run!!' The voice shouted as a Titan hand reached in the tunnel from the surface. The four of you ran for cover, trying to get out of the tunnel.

"Damn it! That ring! She must've known I was lying to her from the very beginning!" Armin cursed out as you continued to run.
"She knew we were leading her into a trap! I could've- I should've taken a different approach!" He rambled on, which made you sigh in annoyance.

"Past is the past kid, it wouldn't gone the same either way! Now shut up and run before you become paste!" You growled at him.
"The question now is what do we do next!" Mikasa piped in as you thought for a moment.

"We get above ground and taker her on, make her suffer with all the cuts I'll give to her," You licked your lips, which made Eren give a blush.
'So cool!' He thought as Armin gave you a shocked look, but nodded anyways.

"That means we're switching to Plan B, she's all yours," He said to you and Eren, who agreed.
"Over here!" You all heard a male voice and saw two soldiers ahead.
"Squad Three!" Armin yelled.
"Hey, what happened? Is Plan A a no-go?" The man asked him.

"Afraid so, yes! As of now we're going with the backup option!" Just before the soldier could speak up, your backpack went on instinct and shot its appendages out and roughly pushed the two soldiers far away, and not a moment too soon as a Titan foot came crashing down.

You closed your eyes as dust hit your face and the appendages went back into your backpack.
"She caved in the ceiling!" Armin said in shock. The two soldiers ran off to tell the other squad as you grabbed Mikasa and Eren's to pull them back.

"This bitch want a fight? We'll fight," You growled.
"She took a chance. It was risky, but she gambled on Eren's being able to survive. We're dealing with someone who's been backed into a corner," Armin explained in a panic.

"She's desperate, that makes her all the more dangerous!" He gulped.
"Damn it, we're cut off. If we try to get airborne with our ODM gear, she'll swat us like flies," You looked up into the open hole and looked at your hand.
'Going rogue? I like it!' The voice said with braveness.

"If we stay here, it's only a matter of time before we're crushed," Armin hissed, and Eren

"I know what I have to do! I'll change!" Eren claimed with a determined glare.
"I'll shield you guys just like that time with the cannon fire!" He pulled you three in, and you very much close to him.
'Uhhh I don't think this is a coincidence,' The second voice said, a little unnerved

"Get in close! Alright. Brace yourselves!" Eren lifted his hand to his mouth, and bit down hard, blood gushing out. While the others winced and looked away, you stared at him, drooling at the sight of blood.
"Oh no! Not again! Why now?!" Eren hissed out as he fell onto his knees.

"We don't have time for this. Just work, dammit!" He shouted and tried to bite his hand again.

"Don't try to force it, you have to have a clear goal in mind like Hanji said!" Armin tried to tel the boy.
"C'mon, you can do this. We know you can!" He courages his friend.
"Believe me! I'm trying!" He spat out and kept on biting down on his hand, blood spilling and you taking a deep breathe, wanting to have a clear mind without blood list taking over when you're about to kill Annie.

"He's having second thoughts. Denial is stage one of grief, he doesn't want to believe that Annie is the other Titan shifter," You concluded with putting your hands into your pockets.
"W-what?" Eren stammered, blood on his lips.
"Like Mikasa said, you can deny it as much as you want, it's not going to change the fact that she's a murderer like me," You shrugged.

'No way! You're 100 times better than her!' The voice cheered.
"He ain't getting it through, give another blunt truth Mikasa," You turned away and looked at the end of the hallway.
"They're right Eren. You fought hand-to-hand
against the Female Titan. Was there anything about her techniques that seemed familiar?" She told the boy.

"The signs are there, understand she's the Female Titan, and you have to fight her," She told him, and suddenly, Armin took his blades out.
"I know what we have to do! Mikasa will
head for that opening. At the same time,
I'll make a run for the exit and (Y/N) will make their way out with Mikasa," Armin pointed at each escape.

"I'm sure Annie will go for one of us. When she does, run in the opposite direction for all you're worth!" You hummed at his words and your metal appendages shot out to be prepared to be used.

"Are you out of your mind?!" Eren shouted, not wanting his friends to die, especially his prey.
"What the hell good's it gonna do if one of you gets killed?!" He demanded.

"If we stay here, all four of us will!" Armin argued with him, and nodded with you and Mikasa. Armin started to run off as Mikasa made her way up the the hole in the ceiling.
"Don't do this! I'm not worth it! You hear me?!" Eren screamed at you three, and you just stood there in front of him

"You don't have to go! Please (Y/N)!!" He begged you, gripping his bloody hands on your shirt, staining it with red.
'Aw man, we just washed this,' The second voice grumbled as you crouched down and took his hands, pushing it back to him.

"If you're not worth it, then none of us would've done this," You bluntly said as you stood back up and stared at your blood covered hand.
"Don't be a whiny bitch and move so you won't get killed," you stared at him as you licked your hand, before turning back and a metal appendage gripped the ceiling, pulling you out and out in the open.

Eren watched with wide eyes, seeing you lick his own blood... it felt... amazi-

CRASH

'Uhh maybe you shouldn't have jinxed it,' The second voice as Annie stomped on the area Eren was in.
"Hey, I warned him," Rolled your eyes as Mikasa swooped in and started to attack Annie.
"Bp-48, blind bombs," You commanded your backpack, which beeped.

"🄾🄽 🄸🅃 🄼🄰🅂🅃🄴🅁 (🅈/🄽)," It beeped and used its arms to bring out the metal balls.
"Close your eyes Scarfy!!" You shouted and threw the bombs at Annie's eyes, which blinked rapidly and exploded. Annie covered her face with her hands as you quickly swung down and used ODM blades to cut.

She kept swiping you away, and you kept on dodging as Mikasa notified that other soldiers are coming.
"Are you gonna kill me or not? I seem to remember you making a wager!" You heard Armin scream out, and it caused Annie to follow him.
'He's leading them to the trap! This is going to be good!' The voice cackled as you shot a appendage into a building to fly.

Following them, you stopped on a tower to see Annie getting impaled, making her to struggle against the restrains until they threw a barbed net over her, trapping Annie to the ground. You swung to the roof where Hanji stood, who was giggling widely
"Nice! And here I was convinced having a Plan C was nothing short of paranoid," Hanji grinned while swinging a string around.

"Never hurts to be a step ahead," You mumbled while shrugging.
"Such a genius idea (Y/N)!" You turned your head at them, somewhat confused.
"Eh?" You question them, and they grinned.
"The idea of leading her here! Of course, there was some bumps we had to remove, but in the end, it was genius for a rookie!" They smiled as they adjusted their glasses and gave you a thumbs up.

"..." You just a red at them, trying to figure out what they mean.
"Have you never been complimented before?" Their assistant, Moblit, pondered quietly.
"Usually ridicule and hate," You mumbled and put your hands in your pockets.
