February 20th 1965, 9am

Ethel arrived at the White House. Because Jack was going to be in the office most of the day, Ethel decided to keep Jackie company in the residence. 

"Jackie?" Ethel called as she ran up the stairs. "Jackie?". She eventually heard screaming. "Ugh!" she heard someone screech. She ran to where it was coming from. She saw Jackie in her bathroom, leaning on the edge of the sink screaming. Ethel had never seen Jackie like this. "Jackie?" Ethel bent down and Jackie looked up. 

"Ethel!" Jackie tried to talk normally but she couldn't. "Call Jack. I need to go to the hospital!" Jackie began to cry it was so painful. Just as Ethel left, Jackie's water broke and it came gushing out all over the floor. Ethel had heard the noise and she gasped when she saw Jackie breathing heavily. She dashed to the phone and called the Oval Office.

The phone rang and Jack answered after Lyndon silenced himself after shouting continously about Vietnam. 

"Hello?" Jack said. He heard Ethel. "Jack we have a severe problem!" Ethel sounded like she had just seen a ghost and was phoning for help! "What is it?" Jack leaned forward in his rocking chair. "Jackie's water just broke" Ethel got it out quickly. She heard silence until Jack asked what state she was in. 

"Well I don't know" Ethel told the truth. "I came upstairs, I found her in her bathroom screaming. It came flooding out all over the floor" Ethel paused to catch her breath. "We just need to get her to hospital!". 

Jack cancelled his meetings and appointments and he headed in a car to the hospital.

Jack sat patting his knees as he was shaking. Bobby came along too. Ethel had told them that before she left, Jackie changed her clothes and Ethel packed her  a bag. Jack informed Mrs Shaw who was with Caroline and John at the park in the city. 

 Jack sat waiting before a nurse came in. "Mr President, I'm Lorna Nelson. I'll be looking after your wife while she is delivering the baby" Lorna shook Jack's hand. He nodded. "Ok then. Will you inform me on any news if you get any?" Jack asked. "Of course sir" Lorna smiled before going back along to see Jackie. 

 Jack was shaking like a leaf. He wanted the baby and Jackie to be alright.
