I called my Mom to check on her whereabouts before going to bed. We had our usual talks about 'How are you?' and 'What's going on in our lives?'.

"So did you find a boyfriend?", she asked.

"Moooom", I groaned.

"Don't Mom me and I am serious. Did you find a rich guy? Well Raghav is providing for us right now but we don't know the future. It's better to have a Plan B", she said infuriating me.

"What's wrong with you Mom? If I would ever make a boyfriend then that would be because I would love him or atleast like him and not because of his money. Please don't forget to remember the word 'ever' because there's little to no chance that I would ever get into a relationship", I gave her a long lasting lecture hoping she would get it inside her head.

"But...", she tried again making me groan. I just spoke all this and she didn't even try to understand it.

"Please Mom, try to change your ways. This is the main reason why Tanya has stopped talking to you. She tried to ignore it but your words truly broke her heart.

The only reason I haven't still given up on you is because you have no one else with you and you don't deserve to be alone even though we don't agree with your thoughts", I tried again hoping she would notice her wrongdoings but ofcourse when had things ever happened the way I wanted it to.

I understood that changing your way of thinking was hard but I thought she would atleast try after one of her daughter had stopped all the contact with her except for helping her financially.

"Don't ruin your mood now. Tell me did you make any friends? I know it was hard for you after all your childhood friends left your side but surely in these few months you would have found new one's, right?" Mom asked changing the topic.

"Yeah Mom, I got some awesome friends here. Don't worry", I blatantly lied to her so that she wouldn't worry.

How could I tell her the truth? That I was all alone here. I couldn't seem to let go all the taunts, the guilt and fear from my mind. It wasn't like I didn't try but it wass out of my capability. My capability ended at making acquaintances.

"Good. I would like to meet them when I come to visit you", she said making my eyes go wide.

"But what's the need? I will come during vacations, you don't have to come", I said trying my best to cancel her visit. If she came here then she would realize my lies, getting hurt in process.

"I am missing you plus I am not able to cope up with the sudden absense of your father. So I thought of coming there on this weekend. Being with you would make me forget about all this stuff", Mom said.

"Ok Mom, I will waiting for you", I said sighing.

There was no way I would deny her when she needed me. Although she ignored me and trusted dad when I told her about his crimes, I wasn't going to leave her alone.

She trusted her husband and that wasn't a crime.

Now all I had to do was find some friends to showcase them before my Mom.
