I was just going to dial his number when he appeared out of nowhere, startling the hell out of me.

"God! You scared me", I said with widened eyes.

"How did you just sprung up? Where were you standing?", I asked after calming down a bit.

"You weren't picking my calls so I thought to meet you as soon as you come to college but then I saw you talking with the Trio. Therefore, I hid behind this wall waiting for you to finish your conversation with them", he explained pointing towards the wall, where he was hiding.

So he didn't appear out of nowhere. He jumped in front of me when I came near the wall.

"What are you thinking now? Let's go from here. I have something urgent to discuss with you", he said coming forward to clutch my wrist but stopped as soon as realization hit him.

"Sorry, I was freaking out and didn't realize that I came so near", he apologized and moved to create some space between us.

I was surprised hearing him. In my shock, I too hadn't noticed the distance.

Waving off his apology, I motioned him to move forwards.

We stopped near a tea stall. He ordered tea for both of us and came to sit on the chair across me.

"What kind of a friend are you? You could have atleast given me a warning about Maitri?

Do you know how stupid I looked with my dumbfounded look when she spoke about her feelings? I totally made a fool out of myself. Being my best friend, don't you think it was your responsibility to inform me?", he started scolding me.

"First of all, I didn't know about her feelings until yesterday and secondly, she wanted to tell you herself. I am her friend too, so I respected her feelings. Now stop scolding me and tell me what have you thought about it", I replied with an eye roll.

Before he could answer, our tea came. Taking the glasses, Rudra forwarded one to me and then started speaking.

"Well I am confused on what to do. I do like her. At first, she seemed so unapproachable but now that we have spent so much time while trying to do research on your problems or while practicing those methods, I have seen such a different side for her", he spoke in a daze.

"Then what's the problem? You clearly stated that you like her then you are also saying that you are confused. Tell me clearly", I asked in frustration.

"I like her but she loves me. What if I say yes to the relationship now but then I don't fall in love with her, where as she already has fallen for me? I don't want to hurt her. She is a great friend first before all this relationship matter and I don't want to lose her as a friend too", he said groaning while covering his face with his hands.

"Let her know about what's going in your head. Tell her that you don't know if your like will turn to love. That you are not sure of the outcome and let her decide if she wants to jump into the relationship knowing that there is a chance that it would fail", I told him simply knowing that Maitri would prefer to know the truth.

"Are you sure? Won't it break her heart?", he asked in an unsure tone.

"Of course, This won't break her, but you rejecting her now out of fear or you not loving her after falling into a relationship may break her heart. So it's better to let her decide.

Moreover, Maitri will always prefer this over sugarcoated words", I said with certainty.

"You give good relationship advises", Rudra stated with a laugh.

"It is an Universal rule- Single people are the one's with best relationship advises", I said laughing as well.

"Let's go", I said standing up from the chair.

"Where?", Rudra asked looking confused.

"To talk with Maitri, duh. The earlier you clear it out, the better. I don't think they would have gone to classes, come", I said in 'duh' tone.

He looked indecisive but one glare from me was enough for him to stand up and come along me.

Just like I had assumed, they were still standing outside the college gate.

Rudra and Maitri went a little away to talk while I stood beside Jiya and Shanaya.

"What happened? Did Rudra decide? Is he going to accept her", Jiya asked in tension.

"It's upto her whether they would be in a relationship or not", I said.

Looking at their confused faces, I elaborated the whole thing which was discussed with Rudra.

"Oh! Why aren't they coming already? I want to know about their decision", Shanaya muttered impatiently.

"Here they come", Jiya said and we turned to see them coming towards us.

"What? Why are you standing like statues? What did you talk about? What's the verdict?", Shanaya fired all the questions.

"You are so nosey", Rudra muttered and received a death glare in response.

"We have decided to give this relationship a chance. Whatever happens in future, we will see it then. There's no need to destroy our present for the uncertain future", Maitri spoke and we all cheered happily.

"Rudra, even though Maitri is the fighter of our group. Break her heart and see how we three will break your bones", Jiya threatened him while Shanaya and I nodded in agreement.

He visibly gulped in fear upon receiving her threat but then turned towards me and made a face like I had betrayed him.

"You are my bestfriend and yet you are agreeing to beat me up", he said looking offended.

I looked at Maitri with a smirk, knowing what was going in her mind and we both simultaneously yelled, "SISTERS BEFORE MISTERS".

Rudra shook his head, smiling at our antics while we four bursted out laughing.

"Now that everything is okay. Can we attend the remaining lectures?", Jiya asked looking at all of us.

"See the time, we can't just barge in mid lecture", Maitri said.

"How about we wait in the cafeteria till this lecture ends? We will just attend the 2nd lecture", I suggested and everyone nodded in affirmation.

"Yes and Sia can also practice by sitting beside Rudra in the cafeteria", Shanaya suggested.

"Umm..No. I think Maitri would want to sit with him", I said awkwardly, now knowing that all these days our closeness was hurting her.

Maitri rolled her eyes at my words and spoke, "Just because we are in relationship, it doesn't mean we would be glued to each other for the whole time".

"How about I sit in the middle of both of you? By that Sia would get her practice and we will also enjoy our first day of being together", Rudra suggested and everyone agreed before I could say anything.

Sighing, I followed them inside. Hopefully, my friendship with Rudra won't become a barrier between their relationship.
