As the two and the following dinosaur made their way back to the cave, it was exactly 1:00:36 on Pat's watch.

"I wonder if we'll ever find Max," Pat said.

"I hope."

"That wasn't so bad," Max said to himself.

He had just gotten finished with his halfway-cooked anatosaur and was feeling fine. Up ahead, he saw a cave entrance. He decided to go in. It was too dark to see except with a light, so he pulled out his Mini-Bright Plus flashlight. (Both he and Pat were equipped with that and one lighter each.)

After about five minutes of steadily walking, he could see light again. There was a semi-large crack in the stone ground above him. Suddenly, he heard talking:

"Hey, wait up!"

"You talk to it?"

"Well, it would get lonely."

"There's the cave."

It was Pat and Willy! Apparently, they had something with them.

"Guys, it's me!"

"Max?" Pat questioned in disbelief.

"Yeah, I'm in the cave. How do you get outta this thing?"

After he was out and all four were standing there, they decided to find the time machine. Using landmarks and the sun, they finally found it.
