", Empoleon! Use Flash Cannon!" 

A bright flash of steel light blasts out of the Emperor Pokémon's beak. I stare in awe as the opposing Pokémon quickly dodges. 

"Roserade! Use Petal Dance!"

The Bouquet Pokémon gracefully twirls, revealing sharp leaves barreling straight toward Empoleon. If I was the Trainer, I'd be scarred out of my mind. But not this one. He keeps his cool and doesn't even squirm. 

"Quickly, use Blizzard to counter!" 

Empoleon yells and a storm cloud engulfs the battlefield. Ice-cold winds shoot straight towards the Roserade like rockets. It blows it straight into the wall and creates a hole. 

"Roserade is unable to battle! The winner is Callahan Hudson from Lumiose City!" 

The crowd bursts into cheers and applause. I, personally stay cool and start jumping up and down. 

"THATS MY DAD! WOO WHO!" 

Yup you heard me right. Thats my dad. My names Jay Hudson and I'm from Lumiose City in the Kalos region! Just a little about myself, I'm 12 years old and I want to become a Pokémon Champion just like Diantha and travel the whole world and see and battle different Pokémon. My dad is Callahan Hudson. Yea, that's right he's kinda famous. If you've been living under a rock, he's the one who made the Pokémon Center music. I apparently have a mom who left me when I was little. I hope to find her someday. 

I kick a pebble with my hands in my pockets. 

"Your battle was amazing Dad! Empoleon was like, BAM, WAM, POW! And Roserade was like, AHH I CAN'T DO ANYTHINGGG!" 

My Dad laughs. "Hehe, you always have such an imagination, Baby Blue." 

He ruffles my hair and I giggle. We walk along the busy sidewalk and spot a Malasada shop. My eyes glimmer. My Dad practically reads my mind. 

"Want one?" He asks. 

"Yes Please!" I say excitedly

Next thing I know, I'm biting into a crunchy Malasada. 

"THIS IS SO GOOOD!" My eyes twinkle with delight as I enjoy my sweet treat. 

My Dad laughs and we talk until the sun sets. While were walking home, I notice someone following us. 

", It's probably nothing." I remark to myself. "It's just the wind." 

When we get home to our mansion, I go into the living room to watch some TV. I eat my leftover Malasada and enjoy myself. 

After a little bit, I hear something. I turn my head to see our fruit bowl knocked down. I pick it up and watch behind my back if anything else happens. 

Soon enough, I hear footsteps. I grab an empty Pokeball, hoping I can call the intruder's bluff. My Dad is in his recording studio and so is his Gallade is as well. 

"COME OUT NOW!" I shout. "I HAVE A SUPER STRONG POKEMON THAT CAN DESTROY YOU!" 

Soon, light footsteps come out behind our table. 

", It's a... a Zorua." I say starstruck. I put the ball down. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you" I say with a smile. 

It hesitates. I can feel it staring at the Pokeball. 

"This thing? Oh, don't worry." I press the white button. It falls open. "It's empty. My Dad gave it to me so I could protect myself from bad people." 

It walks up and allows me to pet it. 

", It probably slipped through the shadows or disguised itself." I say to myself. " Zorua has the ability Illusion which means it can disguise itself as whatever it pleases..."  

"Hey... Zorua?" The Tricky Fox Pokémon turns contently. "Do you wanna join my team? And be my first ever Pokémon?" 

Zorua jumps up and down. 

"I'll take that as a yes!"  

I pick up the Pokéball and put it in front of its face. It happily boops it with its nose and goes into the ball. It falls on the ground and wiggles 3 times. A blue ring pops out from around it and I pick it up. 

"Come on out Zorua!" The Pokémon pops out and jumps up and down. 

"Now what should I call you? After pondering, I realize that it's a girl.

"What about... London!" 

She dances around and barks. 

"I guess you like the name London! Cmon lets go show Dad!" 

I finally have my first Pokémon! I can't wait to become stronger, catch more Pokémon, and become Champion of the Kalos region!
