It was getting dark and I decided to go to sleep now. I lay down under my blanket and put the compass back under the pillow. I had a little to eat but while I put the food down but I heard a growl like sound. I ignored it and lay down. Something bumped my boat and now I was starting to get scared.
I looked out over the dingy and saw what I was meant to be scared of. I saw an alligator. I could see how long it was but it was an alligator.
It was trying to get up so hit grabbed my baseball and hit the animal hard. I was expecting it get get me back but instead it climbed into my boat. I jumped under the covers to go to sleep and I hoped to wake up.

I woke up. "I woke up!" I said it over and over in my head.
Then I realised I felt something heavy on me. I looked out over my covers and hit myself in the head because I had just found out it was a newborn alligator and now it's probably going to stay with me.
"I guess I could keep you. It'll be better than just me I guess."
I decided to name it Cally.
