Ready for our Sanctuarydate?

We are right now before the elephant sanctuary in Kerala, India.

The temperature was cool.

It wasn't like the city ones.

It was cool, calm and most of all....

Refreshing!!!!

Me: Let's go for an Elephant ride!

We go towards an elephant and the owner of it.
(In Kerala there are many places which allow you Elephant rides.)

There is a huge bamboo staircase standing besides the elephant.

We climb the staircase and sit on the elephant.

They have such sitting arrangements on the elephant's backs so that you don't fall.

We sit on that and the elephant starts walking.

It was scary at first but a few minutes later it felt great.

When the ride ended we climbed down and fed some grass to the elephant.

Then we saw a pond with lots of elephants in it.

You dip your feet inside the pond.

The pond water was so cold that you removed your feet immediately.

But then you dip your feet again for a long time that's when you like it.

Suddenly an elephant came and sprayed the water on us with his trunk!

You became wet from head to toe!

And I was laughing my butt off.

You became angry and started running at me.

But on the way, you were about to slip on the rocks.

Just as about you were gonna slip I catched you by your waist.

I lifted you up and our faces were closer.

We came closer and closer and.....

And.......

AAACHUUU!!!!

You sneezed!!!!

Me: Maybe the water was too cold. Let's get you inside.

We went inside the shelter which is only for tourists and also offered towels.

Let's go for dinner!

We went to the dinner table at the restaurant nearby. It was owned by the sanctuary.

We order something simple because we were tired.

We ordered simple Dal and rice and they gave some free side dishes like papad and pickles.

After we ate, we went for a walk.

The temperature for more cooler than morning. But we didn't feel so much cold.

The night contained more stars than the ones in the city.

You looked up at the sky and the reflection of stars was seen in your eyes.

And truth to be told, your eyes seemed to contain more stars than the night itself!

HONK!!!

As we were admiring, a honk was heard.

I mentally cursed.

There was a white car standing at the gate and Jay (From Enhyphen) came out.

Me: I guess it's times up! Let's get you seated!

I escort you to towards the car and get you seated.

Me: JAY!!! DON'T HONK HERE!!! HERE ARE TOURISTS SLEEPING AND ACTUALLY ELEPHANTS ALSOOOOO!!!!

Jay: Yeah Yeah!

The car drove away and I was still standing there, breeze flowing, hoping that we will meet sometime.

I went inside to sleep, that's when I saw Huening Kai in the restaurant, with a towel around his shoulders, shrivelling!

Me: Hyuka? What happened?

Kai: I went near the pond at night and there were some elephants there. I thought it would be fun playing with them! So I went there and throwing water at them! Then one of the elephants threw water at me with his trunks!!!

Me: Serves you right! Who told you to go there!!!

Kai: Ok but did they like the date???

Me: I don't know! Let's ask. Hey you!
