~ Chapter 7: The Tour ~

Everything in Chima is in peace after defeating the Crawlers and saving the Legends Beasts, especially restoring Chi, things couldn't be better than this. Y/N, though, is in search of finding a way back home, but she does enjoy this life has given her. She's right now helping Laval, and the lions rebuild their homes as she repaint their buildings and helping the councils collect orbs of Chi from the pool. Just as she finished, she looked at the reflection of herself from the pool of Chi.

"Something troubling you, Y/N?"

She turned to see Lagravis as he approached her. Y/N looked back at the pool again.

"No. Just curious. You ever wonder if a human like me would ever hold the power of Chi too?"

"Hmm... I don't know. That is a good question. But it would be interesting to have you hold the power of Chi. You would be a first human to become part of Chima."

Hearing those words surprised her and her heart melts. Y/N looked away with a smile.

"Thanks, Lagravis."

"Hey, Y/N!"

She and Lagravis turned to see Laval and Gorzan.

"You done yet? How about a tour to all of our land?" Laval suggested.

Y/N looked at the king who nodded. She smiled and got up.

"Sure! Lead the way!"

Before she knew it, Laval, Y/N, and Gorzan are now riding through the jungle in their Speedorz.

"This is so awesome. The waterfalls flow again, plenty of Chi, peace, and harmony." Gorzan said happily. "And all of Chima's balance."

Soon, he was cut off by a falling boulder as it crashes behind them, creating a tremor. They quickly drove away to dodge the incoming boulders.

"Whoa!" Y/N exclaimed.

"Bummer!" Gorzan exclaimed.

"What's that you said about 'peace, harmony, and balance'?" Laval joked. "This way!"

They drove or run off ahead as they dodge more flying boulders. Luckily, they made it out alive only to find Rogon standing next to his vehicle, looking at the rock abacus. The rhinos could be seen tossing a rock onto the catapult from the vehicle as it keeps throwing rocks toward the jungle.

"Too high. Too high." Rogon said, checking the numbers.

Laval, Y/N, and Gorzan approached them.

"Dude?"

"Rogon?" Y/N called.

"Hi, guys. Sorry to butt in, but why are you throwing rocks at that tree?" Laval asked.

"Oh, hi Laval." Rogon greeted before getting serious. "Because we're hungry by this time."

"O...kayy? But why attack the tree?"

"Attack? We're picking apples. But the tree just isn't high enough or the rocks are not heavy enough. And this thing doesn't work."

"Dudes! There are easier ways to pick apples."

Gorzan makes his mech approach the tree where the apples are.

"Just groove on over and feel the tree's good vibrations. You get all the apples you need."

Rogon's eyes lit up.

"Of course! Come on, bros!"

He and the other rhinos run off and head into the vehicle before taking off somewhere, leaving Laval and Y/N in their dust. They cough out as Gorgon climbs up the tree and picks an apple.

"And that's how you..."

He stopped to see Rogon and others gone.

"Where did the dudes go?" he asked.

"I'm honestly not sure. They kinda got an idea." Y/N scratched her head.

"Don't know. They just left." Laval said, looking confused.

The rhinos laughter could be heard as they see them driving straight towards them. Laval and Y/N quickly jumped out of the way. Gorzan though didn't get to act on time as the rhinos ram into the tree he was climbing on, sending the rhinos flying onto the tree as apples falls down from the hard hit. Gorzan slides down and lands on his butt.

"Dude!" Gorzan groaned, feeling dizzy from the sudden blow.

"Good vibrations!" Rogon cheered, jumping up and down with the rhinos. "You were right, bro!"

"Ugh." Laval groaned in annoyance.

"At least, they know how to pick an apple. A little warning next time." Y/N said, slightly glaring at the rhinos.

The rhinos happily eat their apples.

"Not happy!" Gorzan glared.

"Can we continue this tour?" Y/N asked, sweatdropping.

"Y-Yeah! Let's go." Laval nodded.

Gorzan nodded and the three left the rhinos to do their business as they drive through their Speedorz.

Meanwhile, in the Crocodile Swamp, the crocodiles, including King Crominus and Queen Crunket are having a party to celebrate their victory against the Crawlers and restoring Chima once more. Cragger was nodding his head to the beat of the music, leaning his elbow against the table behind him while holding his cup. A muffled noise was heard from Cragger's mouth and they were opened to reveal Plovar pecking his teeth with a relieved look on his face.

"Oh, Crag! It's good to be back right where I belong. In your mouth." he said. "Much better than that dreadful spider."

Cragger muffled out something from his opened mouth as if asking what happened. Plovar becomes dramatic and scared.

"Oh, Cragger! I have never suffered so horribly! She had me do... unspeakable things!"

He begins to explain how he was captured by Queen Spinlyn and forcing him to make her beauty ravishing. Luckily, with his experience in beauty, he needed some top quality supplies and she agreed and made her subjects help him out. Plovar managed to slow down the spider soldiers and made them suffer through the adventures of searching some beauty products for the queen before meeting Spinlyn.

"Boy, am I glad she's out of my sight! And speaking of beauty, I heard that human girl Y/N is getting a tour from Laval and Gorzan around Chima."

Hearing that made Cragger immediately spit Plovar out, making the poor bird yelp and quickly save himself by flying.

"You mean she's coming by here soon?!" he exclaimed in shock.

"Not sure yet. But I know that she'll come." Plovar said.

"I better make a good impression! I'll be her tour!" Cragger said quickly, wanting to impress Y/N as he ran off to his room.

"Wait! If you want to impress her, you need that shining smile!" Plovar said, flying after him.

Cragger rushed through his lair, making sure his armor is nice and shiny then looking into a cracked mirror as he tried to fix his appearance. His wild eyes flickered nervously as he worked, tossing aside unnecessary items in his haste.

"Ugh! Why can't I ever get this armor right?!" he muttered, pulling at the straps. "I need to look perfect for her!"

Plovar zipped around Cragger, offering help as the crocodile frantically adjusted his gear. "You're gonna need a lot more than a new look to impress her, Cragger. You need confidence! A shiny smile—"

"Shiny smile! Got it!" Cragger interrupted, wiping his teeth with the back of his hand, before holding his arms out wide. "It's gonna be perfect! Y/N will be so impressed!"

Plovar raised an eyebrow, flapping his wings in a bit of disbelief. "I don't know about perfect, but it'll definitely be something."

Meanwhile, Crooler watched from the shadows with a mischievous smile. She crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, quietly observing her brother's antics. A smirk curled on her lips as she watched Cragger race around.

"Cragger, trying to impress a human? This should be entertaining," she whispered to herself, unable to suppress her laughter. "Let's see how this turns out."

Back on the Tour:

Laval, Y/N, and Gorzan continued their ride through Chima, leaving the rhinos behind to their apple-picking antics. Y/N couldn't help but laugh at the chaos they had just witnessed, but her thoughts kept wandering. She had grown fond of this place, of the people, and the peaceful harmony they'd managed to restore. Yet, part of her still longed for home, even though she was starting to accept that maybe this world had a purpose for her, too.

"This place... I never thought it would feel like home," Y/N admitted, as they zoomed through the jungle on their Speedorz. "I mean, it's not my world, but... I don't know. It's hard to explain."

Laval smiled as he sped ahead, his lion Speedorz easily cutting through the terrain. "We've got everything you need here, Y/N. Chima's a world of possibility. You don't have to decide anything now. Just enjoy it, for as long as it lasts."

Gorzan, who was happily navigating a path ahead, turned to give Y/N a thumbs-up. "Yeah! No need to rush. The jungle's big, but there's always time for more fun!"

As they approached a clearing near the Crocodile Swamp, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to happen. She had heard rumors of Cragger's plans, but didn't think much of it until they reached the edge of the swamp.

Out from behind a large, moss-covered rock appeared Cragger, attempting to look as imposing as possible. He stood tall, puffing out his chest, his armor shining in the sunlight. "Ah, there you are!" he greeted, flashing a grin that was far too exaggerated to be taken seriously. "Welcome to the Crocodile Swamp! I am your personal guide—Cragger, at your service."

Y/N blinked, surprised by the sudden appearance and the over-the-top greeting. "Cragger, uh... you're giving me a tour now?"

Cragger straightened up even more, clearly trying too hard to impress. "Absolutely! I've got everything a tour needs! You'll love the Crocodile Swamp. It's full of... uh... mystery, adventure, and... well, crocodile charm."

Gorzan and Laval exchanged amused glances. "You sure you want to do this, Y/N?" Laval whispered, clearly trying to stifle his laughter.

Y/N couldn't help but giggle. "I'm curious. Lead the way, Cragger."

Cragger beamed, clearly pleased with himself. "Follow me, then! I know all the best spots! First stop—our most prized possession, the Crocodile Swamp's legendary mud baths!" He gestured grandly to a small pool of swampy water, his smile still stretched a little too far. "It's where the magic happens."

Y/N raised an eyebrow but decided to play along. "Legendary, huh?"

"Oh, yes! Only the most elite crocodiles are allowed to bathe here!" Cragger said, his voice filled with pride. "And by elite, I mean... well, just me and a few of my buddies."

Gorzan's laugh broke through. "Yeah, sure! Elite—like that time you got stuck in the mud last week, right?" he teased.

Cragger's face twitched, but he quickly recovered. "A minor mishap! Now, onto the next stop—the most amazing view in all of Chima!" He dashed ahead, not waiting for anyone, his feet splashing in the swamp as he led them through the thick vines and trees. "You'll be amazed."

As they continued on, Y/N realized that Cragger's chaotic, somewhat goofy behavior was actually charming in its own way. He might not be the most polished, but there was something endearing about his effort. It made her smile.

Meanwhile, Plovar was perched on a nearby tree branch, shaking his head. "He's not gonna last five minutes impressing Y/N like that," he muttered. "Cragger's gotta learn that style's not just about the flashy stuff. It's about substance."

Crooler, still watching from the shadows, couldn't help but let out a quiet laugh. "This will be interesting. The croc doesn't know what he's in for." She glanced down at the nearby group. "Let's see if he can win her over with all that swamp charm."

As they approached the final stop of Cragger's impromptu tour, he finally took a deep breath, trying to regain some composure. "And now, the pièce de résistance—the Crocodile Swamp's most secret treasure: the sacred lagoon!" He gestured dramatically, stepping aside to reveal a calm, peaceful lagoon with water sparkling under the sunlight.

Y/N was impressed by the serene beauty of it all. "This is beautiful," she admitted, her voice quiet as she took it all in.

Cragger, finally feeling like he was winning, gave her a confident grin. "You like it? This place is special. It's not just for anyone... but you, Y/N, you're different. I thought you'd appreciate it."

Y/N smiled at him, her expression warm. "Thanks, Cragger. I actually did enjoy it."

Cragger's grin grew wider, his previous nervousness fading into genuine happiness. "See? Told you I could impress you."

Gorzan slapped him on the back. "You might've just done it, buddy."

Laval, still chuckling, gave Cragger a thumbs-up. "Well done, my friend."

As they all stood around the lagoon, enjoying the moment of peace after their chaotic adventure, Cragger couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. Maybe, just maybe, this was a good start.

The peaceful silence of the lagoon was broken only by the gentle lapping of the water against the shore. Y/N smiled, appreciating the quiet and natural beauty of the place. She turned to Cragger, her eyes warm.

"You weren't kidding, Cragger. This really is beautiful," she said, feeling a sense of calm wash over her.

Cragger puffed out his chest again, but this time it wasn't with the usual exaggerated bravado. There was a certain sincerity in his tone. "Yeah, it's one of my favorite places. Not many know about it... I keep it just for myself. Sometimes, it's nice to have a quiet spot to think. You know?"

Y/N nodded, her expression softening. "I get that. I think everyone needs a place where they can just... be themselves."

Cragger glanced at her, a touch of vulnerability in his eyes. "Exactly. I come here when I need some time away from all the swamp chaos and... everything else. It's my little escape."

There was a moment of silence between them, but it was a comfortable one, not awkward like before. Y/N felt like she was seeing a side of Cragger that was much more genuine than the swaggering croc she had met earlier.

Laval and Gorzan, sensing the budding connection between Cragger and Y/N, exchanged knowing glances. Laval gave a playful grin as he nudged Gorzan. "I think it's time for us to make a quiet exit, don't you think?"

Gorzan raised an eyebrow but then shrugged with a grin. "Yeah, yeah. Let's leave 'em to it."

The two of them shared a moment of camaraderie before hopping onto their Speedorz, revving their engines and tearing off into the jungle, leaving Cragger and Y/N alone by the lagoon.

Unknown to Cragger, Crooler had been watching the whole time from a nearby hideout. She saw Cragger and Y/N growing closer and couldn't resist an opportunity to stir up trouble. A mischievous grin spread across her face.

"Well, well. Looks like my brother's trying a little too hard," she muttered to herself. "Let's see if I can help him... or make things interesting."

Crooler silently crept up behind Cragger's secret beach path, where he had led Y/N. With a sly look, she set up a series of traps—nothing too dangerous, but enough to cause a little chaos and potentially ruin Cragger's chance at impressing Y/N. She set a few logs near the water's edge, rigged to roll toward them when triggered, and placed some other subtle hazards in their way.

"Let's see how this plays out," she whispered, her lips curling into a devilish smile.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As they walked along the beach, Cragger's confidence grew with every step. "You know, this beach as you called it earlier has always been my little secret," he said, a hint of pride in his voice. "I've been coming here since I was a cub. The sound of the waves, the soft sand, it's always put me at ease."
Y/N looked around, taking in the tranquil surroundings. The soft golden sand, the gentle blue waves that sparkled under the sun, and the distant cliffs made for a breathtaking view. It was nothing like the swampy landscape she was used to, and it's nice and almost feels like her own home when her and her friends would go to a beach. "It's perfect, Cragger. I can see why you come here."
Cragger smiled at her, feeling more relaxed than he had in a while. "I didn't think I'd be showing this to anyone, especially not a human," he admitted. "But... well, I'm glad you're here to see it."
Just then, a loud crack of a branch echoed behind them, followed by the sound of something rolling toward them. Cragger's eyes widened in shock. "What the—?"
Before they could react, a large log came crashing toward them, narrowly missing them both as they jumped out of the way. Y/N's heart raced, but Cragger, in a reflexive move, pushed her behind him to shield her from any potential danger.
"What was that?!" Y/N exclaimed, looking around.
Cragger's eyes darted toward the treeline, his expression turning serious. "I don't know... but I have a bad feeling about this."
From the shadows, Crooler's laughter echoed, faint but audible. "Oh, Cragger. You did think it would be that easy, didn't you?" she muttered, watching from a safe distance.
Cragger growled under his breath, knowing that his sister was likely behind this. "Crooler..." he hissed.
Y/N, however, was unfazed. She raised an eyebrow and looked back at Cragger. "Is this the part where you save the day again?"
Cragger smirked, realizing the lightheartedness in her voice. "It seems like it, huh? Alright, let's deal with this."
With swift movements, Cragger led Y/N out of harm's way and carefully avoided the traps his sister had set. He took the lead, pushing branches aside, expertly navigating the path. Y/N followed him, impressed by his skill as he protected her from the potential hazards, all the while keeping his usual cool demeanor.
"Nice moves, Cragger," Y/N said, grinning. "You know your way around this place."
Cragger chuckled, feeling a sense of pride that wasn't just from showing off. "I've had to learn a few tricks over the years. Especially with Crooler around." He shot a look over his shoulder. "She loves to make a mess of things."
The two of them continued onward, laughing and talking as they walked deeper into the secret beach. Eventually, they arrived at a hidden cave near the water's edge—a spot that Cragger had kept for himself all these years.
"Alright, this is the real treasure," Cragger said with a grin, gesturing to the cave. "I come here sometimes when I need to think. It's just me, the ocean, and my thoughts."
Y/N stepped inside the cave, her eyes adjusting to the dim light. The walls were smooth and lined with crystals that sparkled, casting an ethereal glow around the space. It was a hidden oasis within the beach, a place untouched by the chaos of the world outside.
"Wow, Cragger. This place... it's amazing," Y/N said in awe, her voice soft with wonder.
Cragger smiled, his earlier bravado replaced by a genuine warmth. "I'm glad you like it. This is my place to be myself... and now, it's our little secret."
Y/N smiled back, feeling the weight of his words. "I'll keep it safe, Cragger. This is beautiful."
The two of them stood there for a moment, looking out at the tranquil ocean through the cave's opening, the soft sounds of the waves adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
"Thanks, Cragger," Y/N said, her voice sincere. "For sharing this with me."
Cragger, still a bit shy despite his confidence, nodded. "Anytime, Y/N. You're welcome here anytime."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Crooler watched from afar, frowning in frustration as her sabotage plan failed to cause any real trouble. She gritted her teeth. "I'll get him next time. No one messes with Crooler and gets away with it."

But for now, Cragger had won this round. And that, in itself, was a victory.
