In the magical world of Chima, the animal tribes now stand united. A new enemy has crippled Mount Cavora, source of the powerful Chi. Eight heroes along with the help of the human ally and a snake search the savage Outlands for Legend Beasts, the only creatures who can save Chima. But all they find are vicious predator plants, hideous flying creatures and-- Cupcakes? The exhiled lion, Lavertus, says he will help them. Or will he? These are The Legends of Chima.

The next morning, Y/N, Saskia, and her animal friends are back in the Outlands plant areas with new armors on them, except for Y/N. Y/N rather keep her ninja clothes that way. Saskia on the other hand has her long neck wrapped up in armor. Laval cut out the plant eaters that attend to attack them with his sword.

"How much farther?" Cragger whined.

"Patience, Cragger." Y/N said.

"Well, according to Lavertus' map, there are two Legends Beasts trapped in a canyon somewhere around here." Laval said.

"And you trust that kookjop? I didn't wanna to leave our Crocodile beast leave him. But even Legend Beasts need to rest sometimes."

"Hey, Lavertus is a lion. And you can always trust a lion."

Cragger and Worriz shook their heads at each other.

"Kinda reminds me back in my world that we never trust a snake." Y/N mumbled.

Saskia look down with a sad look.

"Not you, Saskia. I always trust you."

Saskia smiled up at her after.

"Plus, check out this armor he made for us. It keeps those plants away."

Laval showed out his armor shoulder pad as the plant eater tried to bite him, but it pulled away after biting the armor and moved away in pain. Laval laughed at it. Y/N turned to see two of the plant eaters about to bite her when she showed them her snake face as she hissed at them with tongue and fangs coming out. The plant eaters move away in fear, whimpering like a dog.

"Whoa. Did you just scare them off?" Cragger asked in surprise.

"That's kinda what I do when it comes to hideous monsters." Y/N said, looking away.

"Really? I could've swore I saw your face changed for a sec." Eris pointed out.

"Not to mention your eyes and your teeth." Worriz added.

"Is there something wrong, dudette?" Gorzan asked in concern.

"Nothing. Let's just keep moving." Y/N said, quickly walking forward.

They look at each other as they're thinking she's hiding something, but will ask her later.

"Yeah, but I agree with Cragger." Eris said, changing the subject. "Lavertus is hiding something."

"Probably sending us into a trap." Cragger guessed.

"I was thinking the same thing." Y/N said while Saskia hissed in agreement.

Worriz sliced off the plant eaters.

"Unh! He doesn't have to send us. We're already trapped!" he exclaimed as more plant eaters cornered them.

A loud rumble was heard and they turned to see Rogon's truck, heading straight towards them.

"Look out!" Laval shouted as everyone moved out of the way.

The truck ram through the plant eaters, clearing the path for them. They all cheered.

"Yeah, Rogon!"

"Go, Rogon!"

"Yeah. Go, Rogon." Rogon cheered along, not knowing they're cheering for them.

They immediately ceased their cheer to notice that Rogon was right here with them the whole time.

"Dude, if you're here, who's driving your truck?" Gorzan asked in confusion.

"Hmm. Good question."

They head towards the truck as the door opened for them. Odd. Rogon looked inside only to see a rock with a drawn face sitting on the driver's seat. They stare at the rock in confusion while some shook their heads.

"Huh? Just as I thought. The auto pilot was driving. Don't worry, behind the wheel, he's solid as a rock."

"Let's just keep moving." Y/N suggested as everyone nodded in agreement.

Everyone then made it to the canyon where roaring can be heard as they down to see the spider tribe with a Gorilla Beast who's chained up by the webs.

"Legend dude?"

The big eight legged spider girl who's the queen of the tribe named Spinlyn came over to the Gorilla Beast and turned to look at herself in the mirror as she admires her own beauty. Gorilla Beast grunted, trying to break free of the web as the spiders made no attempt of letting it escape.

"Legend dude!" Gorzan cried.

Laval gasped, seeing something on the other side.

"That's not all. Check out the other end of the canyon."

Not only that, but the Rhino Beast is also caged up by the webs with the help of the boulders. The Rhino Beast tried to ram through the webs using its horn, but it was no use.

"Those poor things." Y/N frowned.

Eris turned to see Rogon looking over at the Rhino Beast.

"Oh, Rogon. I'm so sorry you have to see your beast like this. Can I get you some rocks for comfort?"

Rogon turned to her when he suddenly said something that confused her.

"Yes, perhaps some random geological by-products would be advantageous in reverse engineering this incarceration mechanism."

Rogon ran over to his truck.

"Rogon? Are you okay?" Eris asked in concern, running after him. "You sound almost brilliant."

"It's just your basic hyper-cognitivity proximity paradox."

Rogon head out of his truck with his motorcycle.

"Hyper what?"

"When a rhino is near his Legend Beast, he gets really smart. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must commence extraction efforts with an idiosyncratic induction impeller."

"Huh?"

Rogon started piling the big round rocks with his motorcycle to move them. Back to the Gorilla problem as Gorzan cried once more. Y/N patted his back in comfort.

"Bummer!" he sniffed. "But I'll figure out a way to free my legend dude, right, flower?"

Gorzan pulled out the flower next to him that was grown on the rock. He sniffed it and sighed in bliss.

"Flowers hold all the answers."

Suddenly, the fly went onto Gorzan's nose, causing him to sneeze and the fly flew off. Y/N looked back at the canyon and noticed the Gorilla Beast managed to free one of his leg from the web that have been slowly disappearing.

"Hey, it got free."

"That Gorilla Beast is really strong." Cragger said.

"Yeah. If you noticed that the web has been fading every time he moves. The only way the spiders can keep him trapped is by constantly spinning new webs after the web disappeared." Y/N explained.

"If we could just distract those spiders long enough, it might give old chunky monkey down there some time to completely break his webs." Worriz said, realizing where this is going as they huddle around.

"Yeah, but how do you distract a bunch of spiders with a giant spider web?" Laval asked.

"I'm working on a plan, dudes, but this fly keeps distracting me." Gorzan said, trying to shoo the fly away.

"That's it." Laval exclaimed.

"What?"

Laval gestured them to come closer as he whispered indistinctively and everyone nodded.

"You know, that just might work." Cragger said, agreeing to Laval.

"Yeah, the only thing spiders love to eat is flies. Well, not technically, not just eat eat..." Y/N said, looking away. "Sorry, I'm an animal expert when I see one."

"That's fine, but what do you mean they don't just eat flies?" Laval asked.

"Uh... I don't want to scare you all and it could be a little bit risky."

"Oh, come on. What's the worse it can happen?" Worriz said.

"Well, they um, they..."

"Go on, dudette." Gorzan nodded.

"...Most spiders bite their prey, then inject a venom that contains paralyzing toxins. Then they pump digestive juices into the victim and either suck out all the victim's blood and organs right away, or wrap up the live-but-paralyzed casualty to eat at a later time."

This got everyone concerned and scared at the same time, gulping.

"W-We will be careful, hopefully..." Laval nervously laughed.

"Mhm..." Gorzan nodded.

"No time to worry. Let's get to building!" Cragger said, shaking up a little.

Everyone nodded in agreement as they head into the forest to grab some stuff they need. They brought out giant wooden logs, beehive, bamboos, giant leafs, and two giant mushrooms. Then they combined all of them as they placed them on top of Rogon's truck until it was all finished. They took a look at their handwork.

"So, what do you think? Can we distract some spiders on a giant web with a giant fly?" Laval asked, high fiving Cragger.

It revealed an indeed an exact replica of a giant fly. Gorzan scratched his head in confusion.

"I don't get it."

"Spiders love to catch flies in their webs. So look, wings, legs, eyes, antenna. It's a fly." Cragger explained.

"You know, Rogon built same kind of super-advanced calculating device to save his friend, my friend." Razar said, gesturing to Rogon and Eris as they're standing in front of the giant abacus made out of rocks.

"Yeah, not to mention the big fake bug, but maybe we should see what rhino-brain over there thinks." Worriz suggested as they walk over to them.

"I'm surprised that he's turn into a confuse to a smart guy." Y/N said.

"Is it really a thing to get rhinos to be smart once they're near their rhino beast?" Saskia asked, slithering over to Rogon, who's writing on the rock with his pencil.

"Only one way to find out."

"Quick question, Rogon. Since your Legend Beast makes you so smart, can you take a look at your truck and tell us what you think?" Cragger asked.

Rogon was having a thought for a moment, not facing them until his eyes widened and turned to his friends.

"Holy sedimentary. How could I have missed this?"

"You mean the goofy wings and eyes?" Worriz questioned.

Rogon ran over to his truck as the door opened for him.

"No, the anomalous weight differentials and auto pilot improbability statistics. That was no auto pilot commanding my mechanism of steering earlier."

He grabbed the rock that was on the chair.

"It was just a rock with a very pretty face painted on it. Real time operational activities were actually executed by..."

After placing the rock down, Rogon flung open the purple blanket to reveal a female rhino, who looks at them in surprise.

"...a stowaway rhino by the name of Rinona."

"Heh, heh, heh. Hi, Rogon." Rinona nervously greeted, causing everyone to be shocked and confused.

Everyone are gathered together once again with a new friend Rinona.

"Not only do we have to save the Legend Beasts, but now we have to babysit some stowaway rhino."
Worriz growled in dismay.

"Whoa! That's a little too far. I'm sure she has some explanation." Y/N defended.

"Babysit? I've already saved your hides plenty. And thank you, ma'am. Remember yesterday?"

Rinona referred to the time where they're surrounded by plant eaters until Rogon's truck came in to their rescue.

"That was me driving. Did you really think that rock was an auto-pilot?"

"I honestly didn't think that way and thought it was some sort of joke." Y/N said.

"But what are you doing here?" Eris questioned.

"Protecting Rogon. He's very special to me, I wanna make sure he doesn't get hurt."

Rinona hugged Rogon.

"Special how?" Eris asked, trying not to get mad that Rinona just touched Rogon.

Laval barged in.

"Look, we need to get moving. Since Rogon's figuring out how to free the rhino, think you can drive us down to the gorilla?"

"What?!" Eris exclaimed in disbelief.

"Relax, Eris. I'm sure we can trust her since she did help us yesterday and today." Y/N assured.

Then, she, Saskia, Laval, Cragger, Worriz, and Gorzan went inside the truck with Rinona taking the wheel as they drove down to the canyon. Once they made it, the door slightly open for them to see the spiders and the Gorilla Beast. Gorzan suddenly began to make buzzing noises like a fly would sound.

"Forget it. This wolf don't buzz." Worriz scoffed.

Laval, Cragger, Y/N, and Saskia joined in making buzzing noise louder than ever and eventually, Worriz joined along with them. This caught the spiders and Queen Spinlyn's attention as they saw a giant fly making buzzing noises.

"Oh, my. A giant buzzing fly." Queen Spinlyn said.

"Uh-- If it's a fly, why isn't it flying?" Sparratus questioned.

"Well, obviously, Sparratus, it's paralyzed by my ravishing beauty, right?"

"I would nod my head in agreement if I wasn't paralyzed by your ravishing beauty."

"Splendid. Now, let's devour that fantastic fly."

All the spiders began to run towards the giant fly, giving Gorilla Beast enough time to free himself as he got his foot and hand free from the web. One of the spider noticed it's free and yelled to the spider tribes to come back as they did. Gorzan jumped out of the truck with his fist hammer.

"For the Legend Dude!"

He smashed the spiders away as Laval, Cragger, Worriz, Y/N, and Saskia joined in to fight against the spiders. Worriz kept making buzzing noises.

"Uh, you can stop that now, you know." Cragger reminded, ceasing Worriz's buzz.

They all charged at the spiders as their blades clashed against each other. Gorzan glanced at Gorilla Beast in concern and worry as it struggled to get out of the webs.

"Huh? Dude, I need some Chi." he said to Laval.

"But we only have a few orbs."

"Dude, it's my Legend Dude."

Laval reluctantly gave him the chi as Gorzan placed the orb in his chest and he roared, feeling all powered up and punching his chest before growling at the spiders, who cease their fighting to see Gorzan. One of them dropped their weapon and ran away. Spiders then all charged at Gorzan who easily punched them away. One of the big spider vehicle goes behind him when the Gorilla Beast, who finally freed himself, jumped down and saved Gorzan as he crashed onto the vehicle.

"Dude." Gorzan smiled.

He and Gorilla Beast fist bumped.

"You are The Great Mellow."

Gorilla Beast nodded with a smile. Two gorillas punched their chest and roared, charging at the spiders. 

With Gorzan and Gorilla Beast fighting off the spiders, this gave Y/N an advantage to shapeshift as her face turned pale white with her green snake eyes showing as she hissed at the incoming spider. He flinched at the sight of her and she brought out her snake hands that are hissing at him. Y/N then jumped and tackled the spider as her snake hands bite his legs from the back, sending him flying towards the rocky wall. The spider yelped as the snake hands goes to bite him off when the webs caught them and pulled them back. Y/N hissed and turned to see the spider was the one who caught her as they growl at her.

"Okay, that's just gross."

The spider that was backed up into the wall smirked and tackled her from behind. Y/N growled and pulled the web off of her, causing the spider to send flying towards her as she quickly uses the leftover web to stick it to the other spider and threw him over her shoulder towards the spider as they crash into each other, knocking them out. More spiders came her way and she kicked them off as she wrapped one with her snake hands and pulled him towards her so he can see her horrifying snake face. He struggled to pull away as he whimper at those snake hands that bounded him hiss at him with their fangs and tongue showing along with hers as they gave him a scary smile.

Then, she tossed him up in the air and cartwheel kicked him towards the rock. Cragger turned and noticed something different about Y/N after he took down the spider as she kicked them away. He saw her face changed along with her hands as he was about to question when those webs came out of nowhere and caught Y/N and hung her in the air upside down, turning off her snake form. Saskia slither out of Y/N's sleeve and brought out her knife and sliced one web then goes to the other. Cragger blinked for a second to see her back to normal as if he's imagining what he just saw. He quickly shook his head, knowing it's not the time to gawk. He ran over to Y/N and knocked over the spiders using his spear with a blade at each end and sliced the last web off of Y/N with the help of Saskia as she landed safely in her pose. Saskia wrapped herself around Y/N's neck gently.

"Thanks, Cragger, Saskia. I owe you one."

"No problem!" Cragger nodded and they all went back to battle.

Then, a loud thumping was heard and they turned to see Rhino Beast free from the webs too with Rogon riding on his back as it knocked the spiders away with its horn. Two giant spider vehicles surrounded Rhino Beast and Rogon. Gorilla Beast and Gorzan came to their rescue and punched one away as Rhino Beast knocked down the last one, making it fly in the air and Gorilla Beast take the last blow to it. Two Legend Beasts roared in victory once more.

"Everyone, back into the fly." Laval called, getting inside the truck.

"Can we just call it a truck again?" Worriz groaned as he, Cragger, Y/N, and Saskia ran towards the truck.

Cragger turned to Worriz, making buzzing noises once more with a laugh. This made Y/N giggle at him with Saskia snickering.

"Buzz. Ha, ha, ha."

Then, Cragger, Y/N, and Saskia went inside with Worriz who growled in annoyance. Everyone are now together as they zoom out of the canyon with two Legend Beasts following them. Once they're on top, everyone got out or off their vehicle or Legend Beasts and cheered for their victory.

"Hm. The speed and ground clearance of our mobile transport indicates a shortage of personnel capacity." Rogon said, thinking something is wrong.

Everyone looked at Rogon in confusion as Gorilla Beast scratched his head.

"The vehicles's too light." Rinona said in realization. "Are we missing anyone?"

Y/N looked around and gasped.

"What? What is it?" Cragger asked in concern.

"Guys? Where's Eris?"

Their eyes widened as they knew Y/N's right and looked down at the canyon to see Eris chained up by the webs attached to the pillar with spiders guarding her. Rogon hopped onto Rhino Beast and they go after her.

"Release my aviary companion, fiends or face the unbound fortitude of my wherewithal."

"What?" Spiders questioned.

Eris just smile up at Rogon as he and Rhino Beast jumped down and landed in front of them, causing the spiders to run away. Rhino Beast freed Eris with its horn and Eris hopped onto the motorcycle with Rogon and drove off out of the canyon with Rhino Beast behind them. Y/N sighed in relief to see her okay. Her senses twitched and looked over to see Spinlyn finally out of her "Beauty Cave" and started shooting webs at them, but she missed them. Once Rogon, Eris, and Rhino Beast made it back up, the truck threw a giant rock with a drawn face towards Spinlyn, who looks at it in confusion. Then, it hit her right in the face, causing her tooth to be broken as it left a crack with it hanging.

"Yes." Rogon fist pumped.

Spinlyn cried that her tooth is broken and her perfect face is ruined. Y/N rolled her at such a drama queen she is. Everyone then head back to Lavertus' place.

The doors opened as they all ran inside.

"Hello? Lavertus?" Laval called, opening another door. "Anyone home?"

"Where does he go all day?" Worriz asked.

"We really need to find out more about him." Cragger said.

"Yeah, he's been acting strange." Y/N agreed, still not trusting Lavertus yet.

"Including what's behind that locked door." Eris added, gesturing to the secret door.

The secret door opened to reveal Lavertus coming out, rubbing his arm like he was back from work. He looked up to them and hid his hands behind his back.

"Heh, heh. Oh, hey, you're back. Didn't expect you home so early."

"Well, yeah. We rescued two more Legend Beasts." Laval informed.

"I know, I saw them out there."

"You did? But we just got here." Cragger raised his eyebrow.

"Did we happen to pass you in the jungle? Or somewhere else." Y/N glared.

"Me? No. Haven't left the house all day. Busy, busy, busy."

Lavertus walked away to grab something as the rest followed him.

"Doing what?" Cragger and Y/N asked in unison.

"Oh, you know, important stuff. So how about some cookies?"

Lavertus pulled out a tray of cookies from the stove and placed them on the table. Bladvic took one and ate it in one bite.

"Mm. Delicious."

Everyone happily took the rest of the cookies as they ate with. Y/N gave Saskia a piece of the cookie who happily ate it before eating hers.

"I think you may be right, Cragger and Y/N. We should keep our eye on..." Laval said, tasting the cookie. "Mm. These are amazing."

"I know. Things don't add up with this Lavertus guy, but one thing's for sure." Worriz said.

"He makes the best snacks ever, dude." Gorzan finished his sentence, eating two more cookies.

"Yeah, he does." Y/N agreed, eating her cookie.

Then, all the cookies are gone.

It was now night time as Y/N was sitting on top of the roof of Lavertus' place, looking down at the cute interaction with Eris and Rogon, who's cutting the rocks in half with his horn, with Rinona right beside Eris. She shook her head in amusement and looked up at the moon, sighing sadly.

"Oh, guys... Master Wu... Where are you?"

Back in Ninjago, Wu and Lloyd were standing on top of the building, looking up at the moon as well.

"Where you Y/N?"

"Let's just hope she's okay. She's a tough girl."

"Yeah. I know."

Back to Chima, Y/N was still staring at the moon when she felt the presence. She turn around, pull out her tessen, and point it near someone's neck.

"Whoa! Easy! It's me, Cragger!"

She looked up to see it is indeed Cragger with his hands up in surrender. She pulled her tessen away and fanned it.

"Sorry. Didn't see you there."

"It's alright. I just wanted to check on you. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just... thinking. How'd you get up here?"

"I climbed my way up with the help of the Gorilla Beast."

"Huh."

Cragger and Y/N stare at each other awkwardly and look away for a moment.

"So, uh... Lovely night we're having." he said.

"Yeah. It is."

"Hey, do you mind singing another song??"

Y/N looked at him in surprise.

"I just wanted to thank you for helping me sleep well. Your song was rather... calming and beautiful."

"Cragger... I-I don't know what to say. My singing wasn't that great."

"I believe they are."

Y/N smiled sweetly at Cragger in appreciation, making him blush and look away with a nervous laugh. She gestured him to sit beside her, which he happily did as they face the moon together with their bodies inches apart. Y/N then began to sing that made his heart leapt up.

Everyone who're listening to Y/N's song smile in happiness, feeling calm and heartwarmed. Once she's done with her song, Y/N was already asleep after singing that song made her feel tired. Cragger was up still after hearing her song. He smiled softly and gently carried her in bridal style and jumped off the roof, heading back inside to get her and himself rest.
